I can't explain it but this song brings tears to me, not for the words really, just the emotion of the song and how haunting it sounds. A reflective mood.
"Wasting my young years" is the universal anguish that ends first love: the realisation we're maturing at different speeds. In a parallel universe, with a suitable time-shift, we made it. But in this one, it is over and we feel the agony of loss (she sings).

My first love used to say she was 'wasting her young years'. Just out of uni into a job she didn't like nor hate.. spending a lot of time looking at other people's lives on social media. I guess u was more content with our life together as it was shaping up than she was. I hope she found a lifestyle that suits her better, wherever she is. Looking back those younger years with her sure don't feel like wasted
@@Huffy1001 Similar to me: I came back from a year away, and said: "Lets give if it a break until I get myself sorted" thinking we could/would get back once I did, but a few months later she said (more gently than this): "Don't try coming back". She was a year older. Could we have made it: yes. I was too immature to know we could have made it, regardless of my situation. She was wasting her young years.
I have a feeling this girl could properly belt out her voice, I mean she restrains herself but I bet she could take out an audience with her lungs, she is that good. xx

For decades I'm into music. For centuries my family is playing and producing music. This appears to be a simple band, a simple sound but covers it all in a genious way: Feelings, Melody, Expression. Sorry guys.. even they might sound simple or boring to you: THIS IS PURE MUSICAL TALENT. Incredible combination between melody and a neck breaking voice... I am amazed like I've never been for the last ten years.

You can see when she is feeling comfortable and not having stage fright.. crazy that the best and most beautiful are the ones that tend to doubt themselves. She is incredible always and blows everyone away regardless
That one song blows Adele's whole career right out of the water. Hannah has amazing depth for such a young voice, reminds me of early Kate Bush in some ways, and that is quite a compliment...
In days where my mind thinks about averything giving me headaches, I love listening to london grammar. So.... relaxing, so... smooth. I wish one day they come to Calgary; a concert that I wouldn't miss with my wife.
Hannah Reid of London Grammar has a voice that takes me back over 20 years to another incredible sounding band of the early 90's ; The Sundays and their lead vocalist Harriet Wheeler. What is worrying is that Hannah has the voice of an angel and Grammar have incredible songs yet this band have not been breaking massively in the UK. (Also like the Sundays when they came on the scene) For the love of real music people need to hear their tracks, otherwise auto tuned, pathetic crap from the likes of X-factor will be all kids these days listen to. Ask your local and national radio stations to play their songs on request shows every day before music in this country is just computerised voices and a face with absolutely no talent!!
I love their sound and especially the lead singer's voice. She is amazing, looks like Lana del Rey but prettier even and sounds like the singer out of Florence and the Machine :)

Can't think of any female vocalists more talented than her right now. Her voice can do absolutely anything and it's amazing. Would love to hear her to covers of some of the greats.
I think singing this was very hard on her throat, like it was dry , you can see her wincing from time to time when hitting the high notes, you can see the pain in her face when she turns away from the Mike at very end. Throat would have to be warm and wet for this not dry.
sometimes when I see how some people manage to give positive emotions that go through our body I regain my confidence and hope for a better future for humanity his performance made me feel that strength and power that brings us all together she managed to get closer with the music
