John Hallam the sub officer has not only just admitted cheating on his wife Sandra, but they left each other on bad terms, John goes on a shout and all comes to an end...
Hi Guys. I Agree With You Both. London's Burning Was My Favourite Programme On Sunday Evenings. I Have The Entire Collection On Dvd. I'm Watching From The film, Christmas Special All The Way Through. Awesome Programme. 10 Out Of 10.😊
"John Hallam was a _big_ man, in every sense of the word. Not only was he a devoted husband to Sandra, to whom our thoughts go out; but he was also an outstanding firefighter. In all my years in this job, I have never met anyone who better represented the values that make the Fire Service unique. John didn't just give a lot. He gave _everything._ Why? _Because the Brigade was in his blood._ When he was offered a golden opportunity on civvy street, he stayed loyal to the Brigade. Even when he was seriously injured in a previous incident, he didn't desert us. When he was needed, John Hallam was always there. His death was a tragic loss, but his life, and the manner of his going, will always be an inspiration. His courage was... _absolute_ ...right to the very end. John gave everything. He even gave his life. I'm proud to have known him." Nick Georgiadis at John Hallam's funeral.
@@OnafetsEnovapI wish they'd ended it with unveiling that plaque for Hallam at the end of this season; and then had the new Sub taking roll call over the credits, as a nod to the ending of the pilot movie.
@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 I know how everyone likes to talk about S14 being a soap opera, but after watching S10, they really got the ball rolling that early on.
It went vey soap like in 97/98 and then killed off a load of long term characters Nick, Sicknote and, even though the series had been axed, they cruelly and inexplicably killed off Recall. I was still sad to see it go, I think they bought out a new fire drama but it was axed after one series or something
Yeah I was gutted when they killed John hallam off too, although it was because actor Sean blowers had decided to leave the show and ask for his character to be killed off that he was killed off
That glimmer of hope when he bounces on the metal and tries to roll himself to his left. The velocity must have given him the nose bleed. In terms of the making of the scene, I wonder how it was achieved? Stuntmen? WIres? Camera trickery? Combination of all three?
@@tegusnakegaming1441 I swear the amount of people that complain about Geoff in this scene actually hurt. Its like they would have preferred both died. Personally John dying and the episodes following it were some of the best episodes of London's Burning with the drama and acting being on point.
@@LicencetoWho I know, and Michael Garner wasn't the one leaving either. The developmental arc of his character was also important, and John's death was part of that too and his wanting to make it up with his widow, Sandra and his loneliness and both losing John as a friend and colleague and then Sandra going [ although briefly returning only for her character to be completely written out ] was part of that too. Meeting Fiona too later and getting married and gaining a step-daughter and having child of their own was also apart of the characters pivotal change, and none of that would happened had they both died.
After Sicknotes death he is only mentioned three times, he never got an onscreen funeral, his wife and adopted son are never seen or spoken of again. After Vaseline and Hallam died they both got funerals and they were still spoken of many episodes after their deaths, even the wives of both appeared on numerous occasions afterward. This is easily the worst death in the series and its a shame as Sicknote was the last cast member who appeared in the film at this point and was easily one of the best characters in the series, he deserved a better send off.
that was filmed at british sugar. i knew one of the girls rescued. she did gymlastics so she got the role. cant remember her name but she said the guy who played pearce was a real nice guy.
There’s an interview from a few years ago with the cast and crew and Michael Garner who played ‘Poison’ is amongst them. Does seem a decent chap. Last time I saw him was in a Elle Goulding video and gets kissed by her in one of her music videos. 😂
What is "gymlastics"?. 🤔. And There Is Also An Apostrophe In The Word Can't. 😒. And How "Did You Know One Of The Girls" If You Can't remember Her Name?. 🤷♂️🤦♂️👎.
@@MrTamiya89 well I will go off and have a good think about what u said about my spelling kid 😁... You might have noticed that the clip is about 20 years ago and , so if you DONT go threw life just knowing 3 people, u may not remember the persons name .. but yh, if it makes u feel bettering, il just say I made the whole thing up.👍..Now go and do your homework!!
@Lucy Lou: There was no way he could have done that, the platform was way to unstable, they both would have fallen to their deaths and Sean was the one whom wanted to leave and kill his character off, rather than leave his contract open and not Michael Garner whom played Geoff who stayed until the series ended and got remarried and had a child with Fiona and none of that would have happened had they both fallen.
