Former Soldier turned City Enforcer, Vince, is out on patrol on a Friday night (pre-lockdown!). His mission? To shut down every illegal trader he can.

if you apply this rule, you'll soon have pavements full of people drawing "just portraits" with no room for people to move. Everything with street selling like this needs to be carefully planned to avoid this.

@S Phung well it depends, they get a warning when they draw picture, some nights without patrol and they get away with it. But with drugs, once you get caught, your life is pretty much over. Don't think many would switch to drug dealing just because they are forced to pack up some nights

It's good to know there are people out doing these jobs. I remember in 8th grade reading Upton Sinclair's book The Jungle about the horrible conditions in the meat packing plants in Chicago in 1906, which led to laws being passed to protect food and the health of the public, so that's why I like watching this show.

I can see regulating food sales because of cleanliness but because of tourism you would think the artists would be allowed to stay. I guess they just want the licence money. If food vendors have a licence are they heavily regulated? Here in Tennessee we have many food trucks like rolling kitchens. They are regualed and must be open for inspection to sell in public places. Things very different now because of Covid 19. All restaurant and entertainment are suffering.

Haven’t got a license to do street portraits ? How do you even get one for that ? The problem is that they have no regulation, and no sanitation. I’ve seen other videos where they leave hotdogs festering without a cooler or warmer. It’s unsanitary, someone could get seriously sick, maybe even die. There’s a reason why we have rules.

According to Google, hotdog cart permit is 54 pounds every 6mo. Even if it was 54 a month, why not just get it and run a legit business? Selling 300 dogs a night is alot of money.

More worrying are the Liquid petroleum gas bottles which are in those vendor trolleys. Please confiscate on first site, this is an accident waiting to happen. I have seen the nut sellers cooking nuts in massive vats of oil, spitting oil on to the footpath. Westminister and neighbouring council’s please sort this problem out, we see the same sellers day after day.
