Love your videos, brotha. Would love to follow the conversations. By reading it. Don't know Spanish. Keep it going, brotha. From: 😊Cali Suffolk, Virginia
It shouldn't be like that. The UK is an indigenous homeland to a particular ethnic group. British culture only spirals further into demise the more multicultural their island gets.
Great vlog! Thank you Volpe! The last time I was in Elephant & Castle was in 1997, and the latino community was very small then. I barely recognised the area from your video, except the tube station surroundings! 😮😮😮
I lived in Boston and Miami. Life in the US is way too difficult. I used to work 100 hours a week to make ends meet. Another major problem in the US is health care. If you become ill you have to own a bank to pay the bills. My life took a complete turn since l moved to Europe. I have a much better quality of life. I travel all over Europe very cheaply. I can go to the Doctor without having to worry about money. Latinos should forget about the United States
@@ericktwelve11You're not making any point here Buddy. He wants to live in a major city without having to pay an arm and a leg. You clearly didn't understand his message at all.
Love it mate. Makes me feel comfortable hearing the accent. Slowly dying out now kids growing up in London speak a different language. Such a shame. Good bye great Britain.
i've lived in London for almost 20 years and can't believe i've not visited that area. i've only passed by Elephant & Castle a few times. gotta go there soon and eat authentic South American food! i love Hispanic/Latino culture! thanks Volpe for this video!
Great great place tbh, try Colombian restaurant La Fogata- great empanadas- and a Colombian food cart- it's owned by a Barranquillan man named Bolivar and it's at the end of Elephant rd, so literally 40 meters from the other restaurant, he has some great arepas. Correction: he was literally where that Ecuadorian man greeted the Chinese lady so idk where he is now
There's so much South American food in that area, but I rarely end up at those places... only because E&C also has my favourite Ethiopian place (Beza, about a block away from the park he met the kids at) and I can never resist eating there when I'm in the area.
I'm English and lived in a block in that area over 30 years ago it has really changed.. good to see the Latinos..I lived in Colombia for 7 months and loved it !!!
No money for the bus and to contribute country but they had 3 or 4 bottles of whisky and some drugs... this people is always the same. Nothing against good and educated latinos
Those blocks they brought you to at the end are the last standing the whole area was a huge complex every where you see was those buildings. Was a high crime area man no one went there 😅it’s all changing now I’m up there working everyday so I’ve witnessed the change as times gone on. Stay safe bro 👊🏼
What a wonderful tourist experience you got! That royal family was really kind giving you a free tour around a british castle. British accent sounds so sophisticated and elegant!
@@andrewalker7676 ok. My apologies. Never been to London but when I saw the abandoned apartments and the neighborhood it sure reminded me of the hood. Maybe London is different!
It's great to see the love these kids have for each other, and you can tell that they all have good hearts, and don't want to cause any problems just hanging out and enjoying themselves
On camera of course they won't do no harm. I wish it was true but I doubt it with all that drinking and smoking at young age. If they're good kids they be at home helping and being with their families.
The best Colombian restaurant in London is in Shepherds Bush, called Donde Carlos... Good shout for a thumbnail, seems like everyone's looking for Carlos 🤣
I didn’t know London had a Latin quarter but the restaurants and cafes / bars look well worth a visit. However, glorifying the kids (thugs) anti-social behaviour, buying under 18’s alcohol, watching them smoke drugs and generally encouraging them was disappointing content. It doesn’t matter where these kids are from in the World, their behaviour is unacceptable and needs positive guidance not cheerleading. 👎
So embarrassing 🤣 these guys really think they’re living a ‘trap life’ and they’ve made it up in their head, they wouldn’t be able to put their faces out like this, doing up 1 hr vlogging 😂 so embarrassing
I'm Mexican and I'm not impressed by this but rather depressed. This is only more to prove how hopelessly multicultural the UK especially its capital, London, has become.
@@user-dz8op2zl7o So why aren't the large cities of Africa, the Islamic world and East Asia housing a multicultural plethora of communities from all around the world? Why must only the indigenous European towns go through this process?
Bro you're mexican. Stay over there and take your country back from the cartels before talking about multiculturalism. Especially with your people flooding into Estados Unidos. Hypocrite
if you went further down that path 21:54 beside the train track. you'd eventually come to a Colombian Coffee Shop. Hermanos. they Roast their own coffee and with all the different blends it tastes amazing.
These comments sound lackluster at best . Just sall this vlog today and let me tell you that it was eye 👀 opening. Who knew that there was a large latino community in London, I sure didn't. I thought I was watching a National Geographic documentary about Latinos living abroad in the UK. It was awesome, Carlos . Great job .👍
I Love London i live an hour from the city by train. London is basically 34 towns with there population combined together with the city of London and 9.7 million live in London nearly 10 million i like the different neighborhoods/towns in London especially battersea central London Greenwich and areas in west London like Chelsea and Kensington. There are obviously parts of London that are more dangerous for crime but the areas i said are the safer parts of London thats full of rich people living there and so many tourists
Chelsea and Kensington has a high rate of crime in certain categories because the criminals know where there is easy money to be made. Same as Westminister has the highest rate of mobile phone theft.
I highly enjoyed the video, Carlos. It was certainly a eye opener, i didn't realize there were so many Latinos there and like everywhere with low to medium priced living areas, people and businesses are getting priced out. I wonder who in hell called the cops on you for filming?? 😡 Your Arepa looked damn good. Such a friendly couple.
Hello Volpe, you need to do a Video on what happens when the England Team is playing football. Next match on 6th July Saturday. Visit any 'Box Park' in London. Wembley, Croydon or Shoreditch. They have food stalls of all nationalities too in boxpark. Book tickets early as crowds of 1k plus .You will love the atmosphere there.
Sad to see some of the comments from people on here. These young kids are like any other kids their age. They will make mistakes and learn. Some will not. The judgment being passed is sickening. Just because a kid is raised with stable home and money or whatever, sometimes those kids are WORSE than the “thugs” y’all criticizing. They were loud at times but were rapping and dancing. Were they attacking anyone? Were they disrespecting anyone? I’ve seen London folk leaving pubs or futball matches acting twenty times worse and starting fights. Carlos showed a reality of EVERY country. If I didn’t know this was a London video I would have thought those kids were in any hood in U.S. in the projects. It’s all the same. But those kids also told you how they helped a young girl getting taken advantage of. They showed you the local grocery store owner who was cool with them. They explained their struggles and shared how they stick together trying to help each other in any way. People mocking the abandoned apts but when it’s cold and rainy and they need somewhere to sleep or just stay, they make do and SURVIVE. People need to stop passing judgment so quickly. Anyone came end up in their situation, as an adult with a stable upbringing and employment. These travel videos all show same thing all over the world and that is the economy is hurting EVERYONE EVERYWHERE and regardless of that, gentrification is happening all over the place. Troubles are no different from U.S. to London to anywhere in world. I enjoyed the video Carlos and appreciate the time n energy you put into it. Maybe you inspired one of these kids or all of them to pick up camera, travel and talk to the locals and make a living. Well done!👍
Yeah, those kids are example, why you need stable home before you breed them... All of them will end up in jails, few will finde some crap jobs they hate and thays all. This abandoned building is example, why you shouldnt give appartments for free, they will not last 20years. Those ppl are total waste of taxes and space in the city. By 2050 London will be capital of shitholes in UE with steady decline every year...
Mannnnnn RIGHT ON ! IF I CAN GIVE YOU A REWARD OF A LIFETIME IT WILL BE YOU ...THIS IS THE SAME WAY I THOUGHT HOW People BE SO JUDGMENTAL Nowadays I agree with you brother 🎉🎉🎉💯💯💯💯💯 these are jus kids
I went to the South Bank Poly there in 1983. A lot of new buildings since then. The Tube station used to stand alone surrounded by rubble. It also has the tallest spiral staircase on any Tube station. It was a bit of a nightmare when the elevator wasn't working. A lot of the old pubs have gone. No more Fox and Firkin.
For London Latin vibes.... walk around Burgess Park, any Saturday evening when the weather is warm and nice. The side of the park that's pitch around. Just keep walking around.
Beautiful video brother, I've always wanted to go to London and Paris, it's really nice to see you connecting with OUR people and Culture half way around the world, very informative and Positive, THANK YOU for sharing it with us!!!
Those youngsters matured ahead of their time,by which I don't mean in terms of drinking and smoking that i ignored, we know very well shit happens to everyone, but rather in terms of distinct thought processes, approach to problem solving, and unwavering support for one another. They grew up in challenging circumstances. Im glad that i now know about the hood, about them kids and many more things from your videos which none of the creater would've shown us on youtube.
¡Bienvenido a Londres!
Man NGL I Need To Link Up With Mi Hente Out Here In London, Lol I Thought I Was The Only Hispanic (Mexican, American, Spanish) Out Here! Great To See! London Is A Beautiful Place & A Easier Way Of Life!
I watched and I agree. Those hood ppl are sooo dumb. They are not funny, trying do some crap rap, posing cool for camera all the time, pretending how they owe the place and know everybody by collecting fake fists from locals, half of them were just out of prison, no surprise. Just pathetic. Its must be so exhausting to hang out with them.
It’s amazing, never knew there was so many Colombian restaurants in Elephant and Castle, awesome, I would love to try all that amazing food, great video, I’m from Pakistan, but born in UK, love all your videos, would love to visit all these places in Latin district Elephant and Castle
I have lived in Tottenham all my life seen it go from 80% English to 25% English - South Americans are here now as well I didn’t know Elephant had a big population of them as well - things change -life goes on - every decade is different I’m 56 now - and I have come to the conclusion people are great if you treat them great x
There everywhere bro out her in usa it's just criminals passing out here in Chicago it's getting nasty for them out here in the streets they think they in the country thinking its sweet and nah
Relax there, u ignorant racist. I was just like these kids a few decades ago, & now I'm a grown adult & thriving. Def. took me some time, but that's life. These kids are practically children, they have PLENTY of time to figure things out. Don't be so judgemental, there's many ppl in the world that come from rough beginnings, & end up a productive member of society. Don't count them out just yet 😉
I think there might be some pretty strong push-back from cockneys (working class white with ancestry in East London going back to the Industrial Revolution) at the idea that Elephant & Castle is a "Latin Hood"... If my man here wants to find an ethnic 'hood' he should get himself across to Southall... or up to Stamford Hill...

I am generally pro-immigration but these boys need to get deported. Don't come to UK bringing some ghetto barrio mentality. Bring the good parts of your culture. I don't want to see these little stupid teenagers.
@@raukurawaihahaThats cause you aint got NO English values. Knocking back liqour, prepping a spliff and wearing balaclavas could get you thrown off TFL across London.
A Fireball hangover is no joke. Mixing it with the Desarano was a good idea at the time, huh? 😂 Great video, the best I've seen of yours so far. As someone very familiar with the area, you did a great job! Now, you've earned the sub I'd previously reserved.👍
3:15 True cockney lad. My area got basically ethnically cleansed (im an eastender) hope to move out to see some more cockney arounds. Im personally east european. Having seen a cockney in so long.
Biggest nationalities in these areas are 🇧🇷🇨🇴🇪🇨 but 🇩🇴is growing fast 🙏🏾 you could also visit Peckham, Brixton, Woolwich, Lewisham. African/Caribbean areas of south London
There's been Latinos in gang in South East London for quite some time, esp. round Elephant and Castle. Some extinct batch named LCC (Latinos Callejeros Cartel) and some Latin Kings set (dunno if it's proper sanctioned, one man said it's most likely sanctioned by Chicago LKs but take it as a grain of salt). Few UK Rappers of Latino ethnicity such as #Kuku M10/Migo (🕊RIP) and Z£MS from Islington.
Showing the Latino community was interesting and informative. Not sure about the street kids. It was depressing and the episode went down hill from that point.

You can film anywhere in the UK even if its private, if its publicly accessible you can film there... Don't listen to them, even if they call the police, the police can't do anything even if you're trespassing, in the UK its a civil matter to tresspass and not a police one. So don't worry about your camera.
Everyone calling these kids thugs should go back to that Rock you’ve been living under. Go back to your perfect world where you yourself never did anything wrong. They Drank and Smoked a little bit . They weren’t Disrespectful. They were a little loud but that’s called being Young and Dumb. I’ve seen way worse behavior from so called Working class and Rich “Adults”when drinking. But we know what this is really about ….
All the world 🌎 in London but the biggest ethnic group are 1, Arab's Indian's Chines Caribbeans, 2, Asians like Pakistanis Bangladeshis and Italian's Greeks 3, west Africans , east Africans 4, south Americans etc
I have lived in SE London all my life, I know E&C pretty well, end of the road you was on, was a pizza joint called Pizzeria Castello, since the 80's Columbians (Roberto and Raymond) worked at that place, with the italian's wonderful people, big hearts and big characters, but the Latin Community as grown fairly big, in the same time the redevelopment started in the same area, its always been low income area, my Mum and Nan are both the Walworth road area, it's great to see some investment, hopefully some affordable housing is made as well.
Que Bonita nuestra cultural. Yo soy Nicaraguense y me encanta ver a todos nuestros hermanos y hermanas latinos en todas partes del mundo. Saludos y keep up the good work brother!
Those steps you climbed up from the tube to the Elephant, were the last steps I took in London. I took them to get the tube to the airport. I now live in New Zealand. I will never come back to the UK. Not my England anymore.
