I am British and I have no intention of ever visiting my capital city, I don't even recognise it as British and feel so bad for tourists who want to go there to see British culture.
About friendship this is so true! I didn’t think that in London this problem too exists. Friendship takes time and efforts from both sides. But when people choose all the time (if smth didn’t work out from the 1st time) to run… that’s sad bc leads to no strong relationships.
Pro Tip = if you want to experience 'modern' London ... go to Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, or Kabul ... you will get the same 'cultural enrichment' at 10-20% of the cost
London is the worst city I've ever lived in. I've lived in London, Rome, Madrid, Moscow and Athens and London was by far the most dismal, depressing and flat out gross city I have ever stepped foot in.
I wish had seen a video like this a couple of years ago , my I have to to London for work I am in team that was merged when the office when lease ended . I used to work in Southend now I work in Stratford hybrid working patten. I've noticed the things you mention in terms of relaltionships . I don't particularly feel part close in terms of the relationships becasue I live over forty Miles a way.
To be fair, most of these are true for metros around the world. Perhaps, the city has more to offer in terms of cultural and social experiences than other metros. Glad I'm not the only one who finds it weird that you are supposed to act normal with people who ghosted you after going out with you for months.
I dont understand why you dont help out your country instead ? It was England that taught poland culture and given you opportunities. You should take this forward
