London to Newcastle | MSFS 

As a Geordie, it's awesome to see my hometown as a destination in your video.

My Mrs works for BA as senior cabin crew and we live in Newcastle. This is a flight she does 2 or 3 times a week as she's based at Heathrow and a flight I've done many times!

I love the safety video audio, never thought Gordon Ramsay in one of Jeff's videos can make me smile so much

Hey, great vid as always. It's amazing to see you flying to my home town of Newcastle with the airport and scenery looking perfectly realistic. I fly to Madeira (Funchal) quite a lot from Newcastle and the scenery and approach to the airport is to be admired. Keep up the great content on MSFS and with the boys, love your work.

Flown this flight many times for work, Covid has put a stop to that so it’s nice to reminisce! I appreciate the touches such as the safety video and the aircraft being at the correct stands at LHR and NCL. The NCL scenery is spot on.

Newcastle used to be my local airport but I moved to London so was nice to see you using both :)

During crosswind landings once on the ground ailerons into the wind will help you keep the centerline so you use less rudder 😎 great videos, airline pilot here that loves them.

Thanks for flying to Newcastle, also my home town. Flown out of there alot including with Emirates to Dubai (love flying on their 777-300ER out of Newcastle, really shows the power of those GE90s on a fully loaded 777). Worked there for a year or so too. Are you using Navigraph Beta by the way? In order to use Simbrief. Also, British Airways will use the callsign 'Shuttle' for their domestic flights. I believe the one for Newcastle is SHT 6J or something similar. I always struggle with the Newcastle approach in MSFS at the minute, never has the approach I want, but also NCL requires some vectoring from ATC, such as the RIMTO STAR. Newcastle is also known for crosswind/strong winds so no surprise you got the Northern welcome there XD

Short-haul flights are at lower altitudes due to the short duration of the flight, which is more economical for the airline. That's why you wasn't told to go higher

Realism is 5/10 . There was no 2 hr delay like most flights but 10/10 with the accessories and entertainment

Every time I see a RU-vid notification form Jeff I automatically click it and pop me some popcorn, love the channel Jeff!

Had the same issue regarding the ATC not increasing your altitude, its to do with the Transition Altitude, the ATC only recognises the transition altitude as 18,000ft if you do it at any other altitude it will not accept it.

Very nice, nice to see you took onboard my tip from a previous video about V-speeds. Another tip, realistically you would to the INIT B page after your flight plan so it can calculate trip time. If you do it before then then it doesn't know how long your flight is. Use the breakdown DIFSRIP Data Init A Flight plan Secondary flight plan (doesn't do shit in fs2020 ATM) Rad Nav Init B Performance A320SimPilof has a perfect video explaining it on an old version of the A320, but same concept

When I saw this I was like, “What the heck!” Because I wanted him to do something involving Newcastle because I live there!

I would strongly recommend useing the flybywire a320 it make things more realistic

Hi Jeff, Have you ever did a Military Ferry Flight? Take a Military aircraft and fly it from one base to another base. Would be great to see you do that with a B-52, F-14, F-16, F-4, C-130, C-141, KC-135. Or even some WW-2 aircraft would be good too. Thanks so much.

I'm still using the steam version, was going to get the new one and PC earlier this year, but then lost my job. Have you tried LGW - GIB, using real time weather?

Think BAW use Callaign of Speedbird for International and Shuttle for Domestic, for future use if you do another UK flight with BA :)

Newcastle, my home town :) One word of advice at Newcastle they want you to use 25 as long as the tailwind is less than 10kts. It's also way prettier

OH Also the reason why ATIS doesn't work is you have to either select VATSIM or PilotEdge and be connected to them and based if they are providing an ATIS it will send it to you or else it will not.

Back in the FS2K days, I did a flight from New York City to Los Angeles in a Piper Cub using nothing but a road map. It's gotta be better now with more graphics.

I was hoping it would make you take the coastal approach as some of us locals know that planes do that lil turn around when landing on the otherside. Also were you using live weather? Cause it's been really crappy weather here lately as usual during these winter months.
