That's coming together nicely. FWIW, I've used actual fibreglass (the glass fibre matting and then the resin spread over) for a large - probably 3 foot square, with a rise of probably two feet - removable hillside in the back corner of a layout, where we needed access, but it needed to be light enough to lift up with one hand and pass over the layout to someone else if you needed to do. Formed it out of chicken wire, took it outside and laid the glass fibre matting over it, and then chucked the resin on. Worked well. It's evil stuff to work, as you probably know. But the resulting hill was as light as a feather, and took scenic materials well, though trees needed a square of polystyrene glueing under the chicken wire to give a base for a tree.

As the two larger roads look like they will intercept it would make sense for the smaller road witch joins the two of them to be one way or to be pedestrianised

Lot of progress made there Eric, good to see. I'm not too crazy though about the decision to move the head shunt even closer to the board edge; it puts trains perilously close to potential oblivion. Is there enough space left for wagons to clear safety lips along the board edge? I think the required clearance on the retaining wall side of the tracks could have been accomplished by instead moving the vertical board end to be at a sharper angle with the city support.

Totally brilliant presentation. I also like that you have an interest in the larger 5 inch gauge. This is really turning into a rare man cave.

OOPS you need the Selotex type of foam used by builders. You can often find small blocks in ships. Sorry SKIPS. Also used to add buoyancy to canoes etc.

That wire cutter does it come with various attachments? Or do you just have two different types of foam cutter?

P40? Not a preferred scenic material, use sculptamold!
