SanDiegoInnOut Apologies for the late reply. It's all about the traction motors which gives good acceleration. Most of these new tube trains can accelerate quickly which means a more efficient and faster service.
Why there are some northbound Bakerloo line trains that terminates at Queen's Park and other station that I dont remember the name but is not the end of the line?
METRINI NARANJOIDE Hi. I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say. The Bakerloo line doesn't call at Green Park. The nearest stations it goes to are Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus. Is that any help?
CPfilms1198 Did I said Green Park? SORRY! I mean, QUEEN's Park jajaja, my question was that why there are some Bakerloo northbound trains that terminates at queens park and other station that I think it is Stonebridge Park or so and don't reach the end of the line (Harrow & Wealdstone)?
METRINI NARANJOIDE Most trains throughout the day will continue as far as Harrow but some trains I think during the peak will terminate at either Queen's Park and Stonebridge park because they have sidings where they can stable the trains for whenever they will be working next.
Actually, most Bakerloo line trains terminate at Queen's Park during the day. Only about 45% of them continue further north. This is because just north of Queen's Park station the line merges with the Watford DC Line (served by the Overground) so the capacity of that section is limited. There are 9 Bakerloo line trains per hour running north of Queen's Park which, combined with the 3 Overground trains per hour, gives a nice even 12-train-per-hour frequency (or 1 train every 5 minutes). Of those 9 trains per hour, only 6 continue through to Harrow & Wealdstone (the remaining 3 terminate at Stonebridge Park). I'm not sure why this happens; I assume it's because there aren't enough trains to cover the full length of the route.
MR NOTATROLL When I lived in London, people always complained about the tube, but it really is a great system. I have been on the NYC, London, Toronto, Montreal, Barcelona and Lille subway/underground/metro systems. And London and NYC dworf the other systems in comparison. And all tho London didn't win first place for cleanest stations, I think maybe Montreal takes that, NY takes champion of dirtiest and ugliest stations not London, i don't think London any dirtier then Toronto. Only shit thing about London was its early 12am closing time. I think NY was 24 hour service, Barcelona 12am weekdays, 2am Friday and 24 hour service Saturday, Montreal 12;30am and 1:30am on friday/Saturday and Toronto 1:30am every night, I think only Lille closed same time as London 12am every night. Bit sad for a monster system like the London Tube, you'd think they would open longer at least on some of the lines at least on weekends.
