From Uganda a country in Africa, in our village setting i would go singing this song to collect firewood with my siblings and later in the evening after having our evening meal it would be played again on our local radio and I would close my eyes as a young gal and imagine endlessly. I treasure this song so much.

What made and still makes this song so distinctive is the fact that lots of music genres were fused into it. I can easily pick out more than 8 genres in this one song howbeit, the ability of the audio producer to amalgamate these was quite exceptional. The percussions are out of this world. Ohh my...... Not to mention the lyrist of course. These are one of the most powerful lyrics there are.

I was in builders market today and there they played this song. I’m an 80s youth kid and of course do I know the famous songs from London Beat, but honestly I never cared much about. And today i heard this song again, saying to my wife “hey, this little guitar signature in between is actually really, really beautiful” and so I turned on Shazam to get who actually is this band - and what can I say…I heard the Song now maybe 5-6 times on a row and I am really in love with it. This has so much high quality in everything what music can give. While music started to go downhill from around this period from the glorious 80's, the Golden Age of Music, there were still the rare few superb tunes, such as this one, Londonbeat were very underrated, with top leading vocalist, harmonies, and beautiful guitar riff here interjected by the piano, will you hear a tune like this in today's chart music? Time and time again I hear "I've Been Thinking You was their best song." And all I can say to that is.....A Better Love was/is far superior. (In my very humble opinion anyway!) I really do have a soft spot for this one.
Great song ,powerful lead vocals and harmonies..Great group from Britain..reminds me of The Real Thing, Sweet Sensation,Loose Ends,Brand New Heavies etc etc..I think of the holidays I spent in London especially the line "On Harbour Bridge "👍
