Thanks for watching! If you enjoyed, hit that like button and maybe share it with friends! In the beginning stages of making a video covering the three surviving T&P steamers. Two of which are seen in the video. Be on the lookout!
Louisiana Rail Productions yeah. There are three Texas & Pacific steam locomotives in existence. Texas & Pacific 400, 316, and 610. Texas & Pacific 610 is my favorite T&P steam locomotive. Because it’s a gorgeous looking 2-10-4 “Texas” Type. And it even pulled the American Freedom Train too. Before it was moved to the Southern Railway for steam excursions. Then to the Texas State Railroad on display.
She definitely is one hell of a beauty. Makes me even more excited for when our 2-8-0 number 60 returns from her 1472 over here down in Jersey on the BRW. Definitely can't wait to be working with her soon on the regular schedules. Though, so far, the heritage SW1 and number 438 have still been my personal favorites on the diesel side so far.
1316 reminds me of the class 65 Pacifics on the Florida east coast railway. One of which #148 is back in steam in Florida! Owned by the U.S. Sugar corporation in clewiston, the us sugar corp has recently purchased former Atlantic coast line usra pacific #1504 for tourist excursions! both 148 & 1504 hauled passenger trains in Florida back in the day, and are a prime example of the golden age of passenger trains in Florida.
You did a great video and a great job at the Texas State Railroad. I was wondering where Southern Pine Lumber Company 28 is at in the Texas State Railroad.
Louisiana Rail Productions oh. I was also at the Grapevine Vintage Railroad. They also have a steam locomotive there that they operate. It’s Southern Pacific 2248. It was under inspection while I was there. But I did saw it’s tender while I was there. And I took a video of 2248s tender.
Next time y’all make a TSR video you should come film at Train Robber Ranch. We are near the Java crossing on CR2124 and we have access to one of the biggest trestles on the line. I think the only one that is bigger is the one that spans the Neches. If you’re interested let me know and we can set something up!
Definitely interested. Someone gave us a little hand drawn map that would lead us to it. If I remember right, it's a little bit of a walk right? We definitely are willing to.
If you have a truck or suv you could drive down there. I wouldn’t take a car though. Our place is a guest ranch so you could actually rent the place if you wanted to. Otherwise we could set up to meet you there to let you in and we could take you down there on our ATV. Look us up on Facebook or trainrobberranch.com
@@austingoebel5389Definitely, appreciate the offer. We usually take my friend's car down to TSR since he has much better gas mileage, but if we take my truck I'll get in contact with you.
Great video right there! Nothing ever beats the beauty of Steam. Bummer that 316 and 1316 aren't running today yet, they haven't been moving for years, I hope to see them both operate trains again soon in the near future, in the meantime, we should be happy we at least have 28 and 30 operating alongside the diesels
I grew up in Rusk and I've never seen all those locomotives . They've definitely got alot more than they did when I was a kid . I want to ride in that super nice caboose they have now.
They don't look like they run very fast they need some track work to @ least do 25mph. I'll pass on the steamboat whistle sounds about as bad as the fart tubes the kids stick on Hondas😂😂😂 this was a great place back in the day when the Santa Fe Pacific ran here!! I'd love to see that again!
Yeah, unless someone buys T&P 610 and Frisco 1522 like the people at the Rock Island Railroad Silvis Shops bought 261, 3985, 6988, 7081 and 5511, then there would be 7 of them!
When I watched the documentary about this railroad a few years ago. They all have different looks, paint schemes and numbers so correct me if I am wrong. Is former 201 now 316? 300 is now 28? 400 is now 7? or 30? 500 is now 1316?
It’s always been a dream of mine since high school for me to go to Palestine and see a steam train or get on one it’s four hours away from me I am south and it’s east
Louisiana Rail Productions The main issue is, I am the only rail fan in my family and also visually impaired so I cannot drive but one day it would be amazing to go I’ve been trying to persuade my mom. Who knows I might be going up there sooner maybe even this year if I’m lucky.
Fun fact 610 is very runnable the guys there said that it can run but the real challenges is money and the locomotives weight straightening out their curves
