Ever since Sally's husband died almost 30 years ago, she's been finding life very lonely. But when her neighbors adopted a very special puppy, everything changed.
According to a video posted 2 years ago Sally had a mild heart attack and moved into a senior living community. She was doing well at age 95, and every week Brody's owners would pile him into their car and take him to visit her. I hope she is still doing well and that Brody still visits.
I love that Brody knew where he was needed and his parents allowed him to be there - God bless them. I bet he misses her so much in between visits to her nursing home. Bless them all - this is how we're all supposed to be! 🥰🙏✝️
Oh, the tears are falling!!! This is probably my favorite story ever. So beautiful. I feel like Sally’s husband sent this angel, named Brody. There is too strong of a soul connection for this to something that “just happened “. Love you Sally! Love you Brody! God bless you both! 💜💙🐾🐾
Look at the face of the elderly lady at the beginning and later. It makes a huge difference. She smiles happily, is relaxed . This is how the face of elderly people should look like .
It's 2.40 am! And seeing this video just drove me to tears. Seeing Brody & Sally grow together is so heartwarming ❤ from a lil pup to a big pup...he's by her side and he knows he HAS to be with her....how many of us are lucky that way in life?
Let's not forget what absolutely selfless owners of gorgeous Brody are. They allowed to share Brody and then visited Sally with Brody weekly when she was in a community home. This is true kindness and hope it's carried forward to them both one day. They are certainly giving our canine friend a lovely home whilst he keeps everyone's heart healthy with his cuteness.
As a senior, with kids so far away, it is so important that we have friends, or neighbors who take time out of their lives to spend time with us. I am so lonely much of the time now. This was truly heartwarming. ❤
Hello ❤ We are never alone today with our modern technology and can travel talk to anyone in the world Here is me in Australia saying hello to you See how easy this is 🤭 the only thing to watch out for is when they ask for money over some sad story then just turn off your screen. Australia 💕 Christina
There's nothing I can add that hasn't already been said. To the owners of Brody, thank you for sharing your dogs with Sally. Your example has taught us much.
LONELINESS, COULD B A STRONG WEAPON, & SOMETIMES IT FIRES BACK, IN DIS CASE, BRODY SCENT DA LONELINESS, HER SADNESS, HER STRESS OF BEING ALONE, BRODY & LULU STEP UP 2 DA RESCUE!
This story brought tears to my eyes. It was like God knew and sent in a companion for Sallie 💖 Thank you for the kind Couple who encouraged this friendship ❤️ Wishing Sallie, Brody and all well 😊
This made me cry. God bless the neighbors who would willingly share their dog with this sweet, precious lady. I’m 67, and alone, and can relate. It is all about the little things in life. ❤️ I need to clarify something. I would love to have a dog, but I have deterioration of my spine and can’t get out much. It wouldn’t be fair to the dog not to be walked. I have to use a walker, so going out would be extremely hard, especially in the winter. God bless all of you who left me such kind remarks.
If you can,go to your local shelter and adopt. If your situation doesn't allow it you can visit or even volunteer a little time. I know I would be lost without my furbabies.
Jan, maybe you want a pet, too? A cat or a dog? I'm sorry you're alone. I think we all can feel that to some extent with all the crazy in the world. Hugs & prayers for you! 💕💖
I look after my friends Pomeranian 1 day a week and quite honestly it’s the best thing I have done in years. I have a partner and she has said it’s made a massive difference to my health, wellbeing and general upbeat about it. I lost my dearest brother 4 years ago,it has devastated me and suffered from bouts of depression. It’s gone and all down to one little doggie who has changed my outlook on life. Take care jan,as you say it’s all about the little things.
I feel sad that close-knit communities are a thing of the past. That ageing parents are all alone when children are 'too busy' to see them. It doesn't make living to old age particularly appealing. Thank you, Sally's neighbours, for being there for her. It's a rare thing in this lonely, selfish, unfeeling world.
Agreed. Yes in the 1950s & 60s we knew our neighbors down the whole street. Maybe not all were good ones but we knew them. Been decades since that was the norm.
@@kmarch6630 What really matters is if they are there for their parents or not And they are not. They decided to live far away. Life happens, but one can still feel sorry for elderly people left alone.
As an adult I've never had a dog. But I have always told my children, who are all grown adults themselves now, that if anything ever happens to their dad, I'm going to need a dog for companionship. And I want it to be big like Brody. It's such a precious friendship and unconditional love shared between him and Sally. 🥰
Just a quick note to the owners whoever you are, thank you for sharing your family with someone who obviously needed a friend. Not all would have done that, you are seen and you are appreciated.
This is such a perfect way for an older person to enjoy a dog without having the burden if owning one. Most elderly people are on budgets, have mobility & home restrictions, but this takes care of all that. And the owners can have a break knowing their dog is in such loving hands. I couldn't love this more!
What a Beautiful couple 👍🌹💜🐕Sally and Brody had a special connection. So again 😄 thank you to Brody's owners for recognising their friendship. And taking Brody to visit Sally at her new accommodation. I'm sure she appreciates the visits So much! 👍🌹💜🐕🥰🥰🇭🇲🙏🏻 Blessed Be to all involved íncl this sweet Pupper.
@Robin Bond Financial, yes, but also the work. Some dogs need a lot of walks, which can be hard for the elderly. Not to mention if the dog isn't feeling well & has accidents or throws up. Also, the dirt & dander that come with having an animal can be hard for some if they had an animal full time. Elderly folks need companionship & an exchange of love, but not all the hard work that can come with animals.
Such a sweet kind loving story - so thankful and grateful to Brody and Brody's owners for bringing so much joy, happiness, and love into Sally's life again ❤❤
That has to be the sweetest thing I think I've ever seen. I believe in my heart that her husband sent Brody to help her get on with life. Our Lord works in mysterious ways. Best wishes for both of them. Keep us posted please. Thank you.
Dogs are truly a gift from God. Dogs can sense emotion from long distance. I have experienced this first hand. Dogs have saved many veterans lives by bringing pure love and companionship to those experiencing great pain.
Amazingly touching. Love in action. Thank you owners for embracing this special love and being a big part of it. It truly has touched so many people. ❤️❤️❤️
When I was in high school, I had a black English Cocker Spanial. Teddy saved our whole family, one night when he woke me up. Our house was filled with smoke! They're the best smoke detectors, plus they like to cuddle. Thank God we had Teddy!
A beagle named Sparky saved our family, fire started in the basement, he ran upstairs where me and my brothers slept and woke us up, we didn't smell or see any smoke till we got downstairs and opened the basement door, how he knew I don't know, Love Dogs
I have always loved dogs. I grew up with a dog and when she died I was so lonely. When I got me own house I got a black lab, he was so great. We got him as a puppy. All the neighborhood kids wanted to play with him. When he died I was devastated. The when I got my own house I got a yellow lab, she was great I loved her so much until she got diabetes and became sick. I miss her so much, so I am so happy when I saw your video , hopefully some day I will get another dog, they are such good company. I hope your friend lives a long time so you have great friend. I
True dear...I've raised more than 18 stray dogs over 40 years...we may think we rescue them...but they rescue us...God's gifts...each with their own unique personalities!
This is why they take dogs into nursing homes to visit the Seniors. The residents were always happy to see multiple dogs a few days a week. The dogs would always leave the residents with smiles on there faces.
What a grateful heart for Sally's neighbor who understood her situation. Nobel prize for their kindness to her. Brody & Luna made Sally's life happy again through their companionship 🐕💕🙌.
Hi baby how are you doing now i hope you are really doing good you are awesome looking at you baby makes happy when I look at your picture it is beyond my imagination that a creature like you really exist like a rose you make the garden so beautiful You are a diamond to any man that have eyes to see goodness of a womanhood Baby am Ben easy going person very understandable Am a civil engineer and a contractor I work at so many places like Asia Europe and Africa I love art craft and I write music I like ideal people when I see your picture am impress I want a good woman that understand what real love is all about who will understand me and perfectly be for me So we can build our world strong enough to care for each other I want you to be mine and I hope to hear from you soonest thanks
I use to have a saint bernard German shepherd mix, and she was one of the first service dogs, I use to take her to nursing homes, and hospital. She brought great joy to many people, Pax was her name, she loved everyone. No matter where I took her people fell in love with her. These neighbors are great people, what a sweet loving lady. SJ
There is no denying Sally and Brody have a special bond, It's a great feel good story.Kudos to Brody's parents for making the vids and being awesome neighbors.
There’s something amazing about elderly people like this lady is. They are very uncommon, but you can’t help yourself but adore them. Every neighborhood needs at least one of that kind
SaraandStuart, Seniors like Sally are not uncommon at all. We just don't want to push ourselves on anyone as we age. My Jim and I are 82 and we love dogs, have two small ones. We've been back in the states almost two years, living once again in our old house, and though I made it a point to meet a few neighbors, not one has reciprocated. I once thought that southerners were friendly and neighborly, but I now think politics and Covid have changed them. I'm not too keen on meeting any dump fans as most are in the deep south.
I just found this video and so glad I did. I smiled and cried while watching it. I grew up on a farm. I know the difference animals can make. The unconditional love. They are so much smarter than some give them credit for and Brody knew she needed him! 💜🥰
How'can anyone put a thumbs down for this beautiful friendship, I'm also a senior citizen but I have 3 🐈 s who also are my best friends, 15 yrs, 8 yrs & a 15 month old, My Last 🐕 was a Karelian 🐻 🐕 & she got out at 8 months old and was killed on the road by my place so getting older 🐈 s are easier plus I get mine from the pound & shelters they know that you saved their life are the best companions
This made me cry my eyes out. What a beautiful family to allow him to have that bond and not try to stop it but grow it and enhance it and encourage it. I know Brody blessed that woman’s life and I’m sure she blessed theirs as well.
I haven’t cried this much since my dad surprised me with a Great Dane pup 45 years ago. That is one strong human/animal bond those two have developed. Thank you for sharing this.
What a beautiful and wonderful dog Brody is also such a heart warming story. I was a carer for my late beloved mum who passed away in 2017 and my beloved dad who passed away in 2019. I live alone in a flat that is part of a complex for elderly and disabled people. I am registered disabled and my brother is my carer as my health went downhill after my beloved dad passed away. My brother bought an American Akita pup over 3 years ago and who has become my best friend also I have a close bond with. She brings me so much happiness, love and friendship to my life. I have always loved animals as our beloved late parents loved Animals and they bought both my younger brother and myself to love and respect the Animal Kingdom, I also love Ocean creatures especially Whales, Sharks and Dolphins. Personally I rather have Animals to humans. 💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🏴💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🐶🐕🐒🐆🐅🦁🦓🐎🦌🐈🐱🐂🐄🐖🐗🐐🐑🐪🦒🦏🐀🐿🐇
What a beautiful story. The fact that Brody felt the need to be with Sally and the kindness of Brody's parents to let him be a part of Sally's life is so sweet. The bond of a dog and a human is so powerful and heart warming.
This is such a sweet story. Brody may be big but his heart is even bigger, and he’s adorable. I really hope Sally is ok and well now and that Brody is still making her happy ❤
So kind of these owners to share their dog so faithfully. When I saw the thumbnail, I was shocked at the idea that a little old lady could constantly care for a St. Bernard, but this seems like the best of both worlds for them both.
This is the most precious thing ever! The community cats are what get me up every day. I don’t have family, and only a couple friends left, so it’s nice to know someone needs me. 👍❤️❤❤❤😊
Thanks for caring for the cats. I have had many community cats spayed or neutered. There are feral groups or perhaps counties that can help with safely trapping and defraying some cost of the spay/neuter. Sometimes they receive and give out donations of food.
Already have tears of Joy for a special bond & friendship between these two & love is written on the smiley faces, 🐕 wagging tail, the owners are great people who have a big heart, Hi from Alaska
After 30years a widow, what a tonic to keep you going, but a Beautiful St Bernard. The difference it makes having a companion that can do stuff with makes the loss of the human companion easier. What a great story. And they grow up quick. 🐶🐾
We are to honor our elders and take time with them. Imagine the stories and wisdom she can share. Ms. Sally is a beautiful spirit! God Bless her neighbors and Brody! Sweet Story!
There is an ancient saying, even a (loving) relative faraway can't compare with a ( kind/ helpful) neighbour living closeby . * Parenthesis added by me. .
This is exactly my what I needed to see this morning ❤️🐾 Brody and Lulu are so cute and so special! I’m glad Sally found her furry friends! I know Brody could sense she needed him! This is beautiful❤️🐾
It’s way too early in the morning for these tears. I 💜 Brody who sniffed out a beautiful lady who had so much love ready to give. And to Brody’s parents for generously sharing their bundle of love. Just a beautiful story all around. I can’t stop crying. Wonderful stuff. 🙏🏼💜👏🏼
That's pure cuddles and snuggles! Beautiful ! K-9 love at it's best! Neighbors bless your hearts sharing your pup! And what a pup! You two done a lonesome person some real good. From Rio De Janeiro Brazil. Well done!
Me too. My neighbors are so nice and have dogs that love seeing my husband as well as me. This story is so sweet, thanks to the neighbors who let Brody see Sally every day and still do.
Literally one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a long time! Fur babies , with their unconditional love, certainly heal hearts and make one feel like they are the best person in the world! Thank you for sharing this precious story and your beautiful Brody!❤
This is beyond heartwarming. All these animals want is to be loved and cared for. They give so much to the human experience. They are better than us actually - they don't steal, rape, pollute, or murder! Why do we place such high value on human life then?
Thank you a lot to the dogs' family for being generous in sharing the dogs with Sally. You'll never realize what a monumental good deed you're doing. Thank you on behalf from the rest of humanity
That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, bless Brody,s heart for sencing she needed his company and most of all his love. Animal,s are great ❤️
Thank You to the owners that were smart enough to know that dogs sense things and when they bark or alert you it's for a reason not just to do it or annoy you. My English Mastiff (Shrader) took to my Mom and slept and stood by her feet and would lay his head on her lap. (Shrader was 148 lbs.) He knew She needed Him more than I did. He sensed pain of some sort but I could never put a finger on it. One day I found out that my mother had cancer in her breast and was also suffering from early symptoms of Dimensia. I knew right away why my Gentle Giant had been so clingy to Her. R.I.P. Mom & Shrader. I love and miss you both.😢🙏💔
what a special group of people. The owners of Brodie are awesome for making this " love affair" happen. Sometimes the older we get, we need a little inspiration and things to look forward too. Brodie provided that. Dogs are gift from heaven
Awe so sweet! Brody's family are amazing people, they fostered this relationship and offered Sally a family across the way! Amazing for Sally's physical and mental well-being!
When I was recovering in a center for the elderly, my sister snuck in my puppy and all the patients lit up. They just love animals and I feel like elderly will be so much happier and healthier when they have an animal they got to care for and love on.
