What a nice genuine chap...The Hollies were a great group and certainly deserves more attention than they get.

I love the Hollies when i was a little girl my dad had bought the 45 long cool woman in a black dress and when we would go for a drive and the song was playing my dad would be dancing in his seat and driving. lol the good old days being little and some great songs in the early 1970's.🥰

The original Hollies looked like they loved playing music together and were close as brothers. I love watching and listening to their videos on RU-vid.

1988 Allan, He ain't heavy was no1 for a second time. Brilliant as it always was and will be. First class band the Hollies with a first class lead singer, drummer, and lead guitarist! Great interview, no interrupting, really good, thank you.

You didn't exactly need Graham Nash to be a secessful singer you were the best lead singer of all times and very wonderful without him live you and the Hollies and on your own your the best singer love you always my favorite singer.

What an interview. Always been a fan of Allan and his voice, but now have a new found respect for what a great humble character he is. I grew up in London during those same years, with very very similar living conditions, but as a family of 13!! children. He's absolutely right that it didn't matter. We had nothing, but neither did anyone else. We used our imagination to play games and have fun. Loved his story about working in the cotton mill. What a lovely man he was, and still is. Thank you for putting this on RU-vid

Allan Clarke was one of the great singers of the 60s British beat group scene. Really pleased he decided to get back to music.

Allan really ought to have a Ghost writer do his story as I'm sure many Hollies fans would like to hear his own story before and since the band

"It's Only Make Believe" Allan sang this at Canterbury many years ago sitting at the end of the stage with his guitar as a solo but naughty Tony had pranked him and untuned his guitar but he still sang it I will never forget.

Allan left out this thing that happened at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Terry Sylvester singing Long Cool Woman, but I think it's great that he has overcome the bitterness that could be seen at the event.

It makes a bit of sense that Adam Levine and Pat Monahan were the ones brought in to do the singing at RRHOF and that neither Graham, Allan or Terry (lets not forget Bernie & Eric) were expected to take centre stage performing.

Terry Sylvester did not show respect to the band's career and legacy, showing up dressed as if he went to a Football match instead of a gala. SO don't ask for respect to that band member when he don't deserve it

Such a lovely down to earth fella with no airs or graces and like real talented people simply doesn't believe they are as talented as they really are. The Hollies are easily the best band to come out of Manchester and I think Oasis were great personally but not in The Hollies class.
