Paige Desorbo is a reality television star, social media influencer, and podcaster. You may know her from the show Summer House and her podcast Giggly Squad.
Maybe Vinny and Paige are both self labeled “controlling” but honestly, I think Vinny would release control for the woman he loves. Like he would let her decorate or do whatever, but still be the man and be in control when it comes to safety and providing. ETA: vinny and paige explaining how they wouldnt work because they felt the chemistry and needed to back out of it - im here for this
Vinny doesn’t think they would work as a couple but just the fact that they both want to stay in New York already gives him a better chance than Craig 😂😂😂…
Their forsure is a gender pay gap from my own personal experience, I lived in Portland Oregon in 2015- I got a job at an Albertsons grocery store they told me they’d give me like $1 an hour above minimum wage- I had prior experience working at a grocery store so I felt that was fair- 2 weeks later I get my check and it did not represent a hourly wage of a dollar more then minimum wage- I asked what the issue was they said “someone must of made a mistake” even tho I literally had a signed paper work agreeing to x amount hourly, and evne tho I had experience I was young and broke- so they basically were like so do you want the job or not? I decided to still keep the job- that I was now making a dollar less an hour then agreed upon. Side story that confirms gender pay gap- when I got hired a young boy ( this would be his first job- and he was literally like freshly 18) got hired with me- the day after I got my check and found out they weren’t paying me what we agreed I came into work and mentioned it to the co worker who got hired the day after me- he said oh that’s crazy I got offered $1.25 more an hour and I got my check and mine was fine- aka he did infact get $1.25 more an hour. He was about 8 years younger then me, clearly a white male, and this was his FIRST job- I literally at that point on my resume had been the manager of an ulta- and a few other jobs. So what could have been the issue there? Honestly? If it wasn’t about gender? I’ll never know. To add im Hispanic. So idk if race and gender had anything to do with it but these were just the facts. I also got a job at Portland swimwear about a year later- as manager- worked there for 6 months- put in my 2 weeks notice as I was moving but I did tell them I could work up to a month if needed but would prefer 2 weeks as I needed to spend my last month in my apt packing up to move ect- so a week later They hired on the new manager ( a young white male not even 20 yrs old ) only job experience he had was working at a Taco Bell for 3 weeks- 3 weeks! And he got offered 80 cents more an hour then me to take my position- just was interesting as once again I had more job experience prior. But perhaps they offered him more because they just needed someone to fill my space? Who knows. Only know my lived experience.
The reel from this episode was so sweet! Will have to come back and watch it. I remember when you posted a tweet ages ago @Vinny that said something like: you talk in the car to yourself/ought to have a podcast. So glad that you decided to just do it up on your own! 💯
I’ve been thinking this ever since I watched this episode! She is sooo his type. Got the bitchiness, but deep down is a sweetheart. And literally is a Victoria Secret model. I mean come on.
Came here for Paige, but was really impressed by everyone. Watched JS back in the day and Vinny kind of served the same function as Paige on SH, as the more relatable voice of reason. I think the main difference between then and now is we have better discussions on mental health. One more thing about the wage gap. There is bias over not promoting women because of systemic sexism, not wanting to invest in someone who plans to have children/is expected to raise them, but also women are not socialized as men are, so usually struggle to build confidence to ask for what they deserve, and may have gender related trauma/mental health issues that get in the way of their success.
Who could not love vinny, hes super sweet and kind hearted., and shy in the cutest way !!! Paige we all adore, she says whats she thinks and I give her alot of credit for being REAL !!!!! She is so petite and naturally pretty!! Paige you know so many people ,you must have a nice girl that Vinny could LOVE
This was one of my faves. The chemistry btw all 3 of u was effortless like you were all so comfortable; just seamless. I also loved Yannis and Chris D but I’m just gettin’ started. I want to shout out Sienna. I think she was a great choice. Chemistry on point.
On the note of men need to love women a little more, I feel like women thrive so much more when their man supports them, hypes them up, checks on them, makes them feel wanted and needed. They need to love us more out loud, if that makes sense. Like we need that. Obviously, men also need support. Women just need it a little more. Just my two cents. Love the podcast!
I’m thankful my company lets me bring my child to work, that is one thing I’m thankful for from our time shut off from the world. I don’t feel like that would’ve happened before. A lot of companies also realized it is possible for their employees to work from home, making it better for the family dynamic
I say I love you to anyone I care about, because there’s different levels to it & anyone who knows me knows that, I have regular customers at my business that I love
bruh his co host said she feels famous like guys just gonna come up and be like yo! lmao cmon bruh humble yourself 😂 people only know vinny here get real
15:04 Page is 100% right historically ALL men’s salaries carry the implication that they have to support an entire family. That’s why “systemically” men make astronomically more than women. For. The. Same. Job.
That’s why long distance relationships can work for people like us, our schedules are irregular, ocd, adhd, not liking blondes lol. I want to keep my farm property & that be our peace there, him live in the city & that be where we come alive & then have an rv or something & that’s where we can just be a family
Okay I’m getting so annoyed with the cohost always saying “woman” when she means to say “women” it’s so cringey. I’m surprised Vinny hasn’t corrected her on it yet 😂 And why is she even dating guys when all she does is talk shit about them and saying how much men hate women? Lol just date women then 😂
Wait this hit me like a ton of bricks watched Jersey shore since the beginning AND came across giggly squad 2 months ago….i can’t help but say Paige n Vinny def connect in what ever way it is idk. Even tho ur taken Paige, yolo???👀🥺
Hey Vinny, just GOOGLE it. I did it for you: Women earn an average of 16% less than men. For every dollar earned by men, women earned 84 cents. The controlled gender pay gap, which considers factors such as job title, experience, education, industry, job level and hours worked, is currently at 99 cents for every dollar men earn.
If Craig will “die in NY” and Paige would do the same In Charleston, where do we go from here? I think Vinny needs to scoop up Paige. NY’rs stick together. Watched t hapoen all during college. They would date people from other places & then marry a fellow NY’r. Will be interesting to see how this story ends. They are not that young anymore. Time is a tickin’.
I just want someone that actually cares to understand me. Find out the things I love etc not get mad because I went silent know I’m overstimulated, drained etc and instead of getting insecure send a meme or song I would enjoy, order me dim sum etc.
Can I just say first I'm kinda late watching but I have come to the conclusion Paige & Craig will never go the mile. I could almost bet you a million dollars. I'm a great reader of things… Sorry not sorry…
