This is a fm that has interested me for some time. I mostly shoot colour film, but I really want to shoot more B&W. I think I might give it s try! There are some lovely shots here! I think the 150mm shot towards the falls is my favourite! Thanks Stephen!
Nice vid man! Was down that way shooting some Portra 160 at Ruapehu and the Taupo tree on Saturday - and some bird action on the side of the road on the way back to the Waikato with the Fuji hah.
Nice ! I confess I was thinking Fuji pro 400 throughout , always glad to see the metering process I showed my mate my hasselblad , he said , it’s nice , looks a lot of hassle, is that why it’s called a hasselblad
Another enjoyable video and great images. I like how you’re experimenting and have been pausing when the side by side shots are up on the screen, so I can have a good look.
Hello Stephen, enjoy your Mamiya 6MF videos as well as the videos with the new Fuji GFX 50S ll. What sort of problem did you experience with the Mamiya…hope you’re able to get it repaired. I also shoot with a Mamiya 6MF as well as a Fuji-GF 670W. I have a quick question regarding your thoughts and technique for using a polarizer on a range finder. I understand the technique when I use any of my TTL cameras but wonder if perhaps some day you could say a word or two about the technique one might use with a camera like the Mamiya (if you already have a video that covers that, sorry I missed seeing it.) Thank you ! John
Hello Stephen, what number did you use for this film to calculate reciprocity? I don’t see the to calculate on Ilfords data sheet. Might it be 1.33? Thanks. Lovely shots of the falls!
Fascinating video to see how the Mamiya 6 can be used for landscapes etc, than you. 2 questions if I may - when you say you use the hyperfocal approach at f11, I assume you are still picking a focus point somewhere in the scene? Also, what brand were the square filters you attached ? I had a feeling my Lee filters are too large?
Thanks. At f11, the focus point is not important for how I use the camera. I set and forget the focus. The filters are a 75mm system. Most brands sell them. Your Lee filters will be ok, the holder will obstruct the viewfinder and light meter.
