This is the Long FULL installation breakdown video of the Long Handle Boat2Trailer Ramp N Clamp Latch. This shows every single step of installation. First you will need to remove your boat from the trailer so you may access the current roller or bow stop. Next you will need to remove the bow stop or roller. Install the boat latch in the mounting bracket the roller was in. Find the right angle or pitch to match the pitch of your boat. Tighten the bolt snug, roughly 20 - 24ft lbs so the latch can still pivot. Now pull the boat into the latch mechanism until you here the click. Once it has clicked into place you can install the handle. Make sure you place the handle in a low enough position so that it does not come into contact with the boat when you pull the lever. Now you are ready for use.

Awesome - but not totally (yet): I just purchased and installed the long-handle, Sport model on my Skeeter's trailer. All I have done so far is put the boat on the trailer (not launched yet). It was awesome being able to secure on the trailer - and not having to leave the engine running (while in gear), lay on the front deck to attach the winch hook, crank it tight -- just to keep from sliding away from the winch. But here is my first issue: The standard winch strap hook is fat - and there is not enough room to secure the winch hook while latched to the new device. There is room for the thin, safety chain hook - but not the fat winch hook. I pushed the provided bolt to attach the device through the holes with the plastic-looking bushings -- would choosing a different hole for the bolt free up more space for the winch hook?
