How anybody sleeps in those seats is beyond me..I have to have at least 4 drinks in me before I go to sleep on a long flight .they need to remove the seats and put bunk beds in them
It's definitely worth paying the extra to fly ANA or Japan Airlines on the way to Japan. Their seats are wider than those of U.S. airlines as they configure their planes with one fewer seat per row (8-abreast 787, 9-abreast 777). That 1.5 inch of space makes a huge difference. As well, their meals are much, much nicer.
I would agree with you on all of that. But I think United has the best loyalty program for a IS based airline. We get upgraded to Polaris almost every long haul flight. We didn’t on this flight because we purchased the tickets with award miles. Only cost us 25,000 each.
I have been forever searching for a pillow that ACTUALLY keeps my head from falling forward. Does this one do it? Do you have a video review? I have a long haul in 3 weeks and desperately want to find a solution
Not Japan, but I’m going to Reykjavik with a travel group along with my brother. Flight is probably going to feel like a near long haul flight. Any recommendations on items to bring on the flight? I know I’m bringing my hobby with me and a playlist that I’m still building along with a memory foam neck pillow.
Awesome! Iceland is going to be a great adventure. We love the neck pillow we have so it’s good that you are already planning on bringing one. Honestly the one thing that never leaves my travel backpack is our Gravel blanket. It’s a but pricy for a blanket but it’s my absolute must travel item. Too often the planes are ridiculously cold and the economy blankets don’t cut it. It packs up so small, it’s so warm, and so comfy when you scrunch it up. I also sometimes use it as a pillow.
Please reassure me about flying. I’m having like daily panic attacks because I HAVE to fly in 3 days and I’m freaking the hell out. I’m 15 and no one’s coming with.
I’m so sorry you’re nervous about flying 😢. The truth is I’m actually terrified of flying. I absolutely hate it. But I made a decision to not allow my fear to control what I do in life. Although I hate flying, I love travel. If I’m ever flying alone and I feel nervous I just look around at the other passengers and I observe how calm they are. It reassures me that I am safe and that my fears are in my head and nothing bad or dangerous is actually happening. I hope you find some comfort and you are able to take that flight. All the best to you!
@@AlwaysBeChanging I really really appreciate that, i really don’t know why im so scared since i know im safe and that it’s going to be an AWESOME vacation ((I’ve never ever been out of my city!)) so I should be less scared
@@ermactuallywsg It’s ok to acknowledge that you’re scared and there is nothing wrong with it. But it sounds like you’re going to have an amazing trip!
12 hours? Is that actually still considered Long Haul? Commercially, 22 hours straight (NYC to Davao), or on A Space almost 44 hours (to Cebu or to Zamboanga City) including hops like Okinawa, etc, etc. 12 hours would be a breeze.
Caffeine super effects me too. It’s hard to determine the best time to have it. I’ll get headaches if I go too long without it and then I can’t sleep if I take it at the wrong time too.
It helps with the bags and makes your eyes super moisturized. But I have actually found a new eye cream that I LOVE. I wish I could recommend it easily but it’s specially made from my medical spa in Denver. But it has arnica in it and I think that’s what helps the most with bags.
Japan is so wonderful! Cleanest country in the world and the food is so so delicious. Everything is affordable except transportation can be a little steep sometimes. Have a great trip!!
I really don’t know how people can sleep so peacefully on a flight. I’m always too excited about my destination to sleep. My longest flight was 15 hours!
You look like a traveller relaxing mate.😊 When my wife was younger she was married to a sailor in the Australian Navy. She did a 3 day trip across Australia (heavily pregnant) sitting up the whole way. The seats were at least somewhat padded 😂 shes never wanted to take a long t train trip again. You look like someone making the most of the situation. Seems pretty smart to me 😊
Me and my kids are going to Japan from denver! My daughter was scrolling and found you guys and she was so surprised and excited that you guys were in denver!
How cool! Don't know if this is your (or your kids') first trip to Japan, but what a great time you're gonna have. Definitely one of our favorite places in the world. If you didn't come across those episodes, here's the full Japan series: ru-vid.com/group/PLURNaS9aYkmyLMVKC_bfRv9b9CWT0XVyS
