Part 1-2 (I cant upload more than 15min videos) Part 2: • Long interview with Ha... Hatari giving interview about the glad incident in Eurovison 2019 Copyright: Ruv.is Fair use.
Hi everybody, so I noticed this has not been uploaded and subtitled on RU-vid so I decided to do it today. I don't think there are any interviews from Hatari left to translate but I might upload in near future the Icelandic news segments from last Sunday about the Eurovision finals and our impending ban in Eurovision 2020 (will be decided next week) It was bit difficult to translate this, especially Klemens part but I hope you can all understand what they are saying :)
Thank you for doing it. I love Israel with my whole heart but I respect these young men for doing what they did. If you stand on the side of Palestinians ( there are good reasons to support them ), do a peaceful protest like Hatari did. More respectable than a boycott!
I’m from sweden and I can relate. I think Icelandic sounds like a mix between all the Nordic languages. I can hear some Swedish, I can hear some Norwegian, I can hear some Finnish, and some danish!!
@@ylfawh3336 exactly! And now I’ve learned that it might sound like Finnish but it has no connection to Finnish, since Finnish comes from the Russian part of the “language-families”
@@alvidoranwashere You really think that? Im Icelandic and I personally think our accent fx is much more like Germans if anything. And yeah Icelandic is a Germanic language and Finnish is Uralic
I know this comment is old, but as a Finnish person I'd like to say that it is SO MUCH EASIER to relax and just talk without thinking everything over too much when the interview's in your native tongue. Many native English-speakers have never experienced the dread: "OMG, I know my English should be good but is it _good enough_ or am I making no sense to these interviewers?!" I speak English all the time, on an academical level. I haven't run into a situation of "I don't know how to say this in English" in years, but still it isn't _native_ to me. It doesn't come from my very core. I still have to stop and think sometimes, I still worry about my accent etc. The best comparison I can give for someone who isn't fluent in multiple languages is to try and speak with a completely different accent, e.g. a Texan trying to sound like you're from Birmingham. You'll screw up and get flustered, and it takes a part of your focus and you cannot relax. Of course Hatari were also playing a part, but trust me, even without that… it's hard to do in your second (or third or fourth in some cases) language. Bonus points if your native language has grammatically and/or vocabularly nothing in common with English.
This is funny, since when all that LGBT BDSM is adorable in your culture, can’t imagine in worst nightmare what palestinians would do to those guys if they came to visit…
@@nanalomonosov26 I hope one day you will reach the maturity of knowing that its not morally okay to let people die because they dont adore the LGBT .....
I give them applause for showing the flags. It is also admirable that they are not pretending now and are staying true to their cause. They did what we all are thinking about the ongoing conflict. Much respect for boys. I watched some other interviews and it's so awesome to see they're being true and honest all the time. Good job and keep on coming. Love from Slovenia.
You know there's something wrong with a country when you can't bring in a flag through a border and worry about soldiers. Amazing to see these guys exposing even more suffering of the Palestinian people and bringing more publicity to it.
oh pleasee they are just lying. you can literally get Palestinian flags in TEL AVIV. why do people forget that almost 25% of Israel's population are ARABS that big part of them identify as 'Israeli-Palestinians'? come on! open your eyes people. Israelis have no problem with Palestinians, it's THEY that denying our existence here.
@@marcellobiondi8607 Israel hosted ESC, not Iran. Israel is supposed to be free and democratic country. But it is treating Palestinian in the occupied territories poorly. That's not what democratic countries should behave like. Free and democratic world should tell Israel that apartheid regime can not be part of free and democratic world. It can only be part of a club where countries like Iran are. That logic, if Iran does something or if Arabs in 1967 did something in 1967, then no one is allowed to tell loudly and publicly that it is not OK what Israel is doing in the occupied land, that is not the logic of free and democratic world. That was the logic of the nazi Germany. Sad enough. We can go back in history 50, 100 year or 2000 years to justify this and that. But in the end, hate will prevail. If hate prevails, I don't see how it can end well for Israel, in the first place. Look on the map. Luckily, there are also many Israelis who understand those things. Let's hope their voices will be heard.
Oh Lá Lá I actually love his haircut! Same with Matthías’ haircut. Klemens’ mullet? Not as much but he rocks it and looks cute as hell and that is all that matters :)!
They should not interfere in something they don’t understand, they are like little kids they want controversy, not to help. What did that stupid stunt do? Gave them attention for 2 seconds,bravo... he is talking about the whole thing how they did it, pulling it out of the boot.... and not why exactly is happening and what should change or how to help someone. I think there are good and bad people on both sides so either they put on a military suit and go fight for what they believe or shut the f up......
I don't think they understand what is going on there. I would understand if they're showing respect for the people who live there and how many of them probably don't actually hate Israel, but I hope they're not supporting the government there and the terrorists.
@@lilyoongimeow2586 just what i said pinky...learn some english.. i have arab friends that i love who live in israel.. Just saying that those who live in gasa make lots of terrorism....
It's really funny to sometimes hear a word that I recognize from their songs. I'll just be watching the interview and suddenly be like OH HE SAID EKKEFILLIMEYA HE SAID THAT IN ÓDÝR
@justin credible wieso schreibst du auf Deutsch. Schreib mal auf Englisch dass alle deine rassistiche Kommentar lesen können :) First, it's none of your business why I am in Germany. This a country not your house. Second, if I would tell this to a jew, that would be anti-semitic, right?, but if you say that to me it's "okay"? Everyone should have the right to be where they want. Third, Germany is not with Israel. In fact, no one is. The world is fed up with its continuous colonization, bombing, killing harassment, destruction and occupation. But they publically can't say so because of history. Fourth, why is it important if I am German or half German? I am even in the UK since a month and reading your comments about if I am German or not, make me laugh. Guys get a life 😂😊
@@liorschwimmer What do you means guys like me? the most I can do is write a comment to you I am not a terrorist like your dirty soldiers who kill children and the elder. May Hashim strike you dirty liars who pretend to believe in him while you believe in nothing except your cruel dehumanizing policies. keep hiding beyond bullets and domes you'll live forever.
There's nothing noble in what they did. This is Eurovision, this is music, there's no room for politics here. Nothing is in it's place anymore. Because of stuff like this, I cancelled this political piece of sh** so called Eurovision (more like EuroPolitics) back in 2016, don't even know why this showed up in my recommendation. Just to piss me off more. If Europe hates sooo much Israel, why did Israel win last year?
I believe you can find "free palestine" banners in any shop in the arab neighbourhoods of jerusalem, jaffa etc. No need to smuggle banners from the territories. Anyway, one of the best songs in the competition, cant stop playing it. Well done!!
@@ll7436 as i said, i commented about the announcement that they smuggled the banners from the territories. The eurovision was in tel aviv, they could have taken a 15 minute walk to jaffa and buy banners.

1. Eurovision itself banned Palestinian flag from the contest! Israel didn't make this rule! 2. waving Palestinian flag in Israel is very disrespectful to the host country, yes. 3. they did not get in any trouble, what are you even talking about?
@@mayale3394 Yes they did. They left the green room immediately afterwards, fearing for their safety, and Jon Ola Sand told the head of the delegation that there would be 'repercussions' that we're waiting to hear.
@@AtlasBlizzard They are bunch of liars then, why would they be afraid? come on people!!!!! before you show your stupidity have some knowledge about Israel. 25% of Israel's population are Israeli-Arabs and many of them are identified as 'Palestinians'.. it's not that hard to find a Palestinian flag in an Israeli store, lol. Obviously waving it is disrespectful and offensive for many Israelis for obvious reasons, but it's not something THAT unusual to us. in Arab towns here you can see this flag pretty often. so again, learn a bit about Israel before you believe everything they tell you. Plus, 99.9% of the Israelis wouldn't give a shit even if someone walked in the street with a shirt that says 'fuck Israel' hahaha. as for repercussions, like I said before! this flag is controversial and it's banned by Eurovision, not by Israel! get your facts right, there is no rule in Israel that ban ANY flag! it's a democracy.
A shame you guys didn't know that Palestinian flags are totally legal to fly in Israel You could have got one easily even in Tel Aviv. So smuggling it out of Ramalla is not really smuggling and the soldiers would not have taken it from you. It is legal ( You broke Eurovision rules, not Israeli rules) Secondly no one would have hurt you for this, Many Israelis want the occupation to end and hope and pray that the Palestinian leaders will lead their people to a two state solution which the majority of Israelis support. So, instead of shouting Free Palestine ( destroy Israel) I suggest if you really care, and I believe you do Encourage a peaceful solution.
They don't want to "destroy Israel", and they've been clear about that. In a different interview after the flag incident they said: "Nothing of what we have done or said during this journey has been with malevolence. We want the Israeli nation to know that we come out with hope, not hatred. Hope for both Israel and Palestine."
Hey, I’m only 13 and don’t really understand why the flag was a big deal, but I wanna understand. Where is Palestine and why was them holding the flag a big deal? I haven’t watched the video but I’m assuming I need to understand this before I watch it. I’m sorry if I’m stupid for not knowing this. I would appreciate if someone explained this. Thanks!
You're not stupid, you're smart actually! 99% of the people don't know anything about this conflict or even where Israel is located on the map, and they still express their meaningless opinion about it😂 I'll explain you, I'm sorry if it's too long but I need to explain the history of this land first: Before 1948, the territory on which the State of Israel was established was occupied by various regimes throughout history (Romans, Ottomans, British) who gave this country the name "Palestina". In Palestina there were Jews, Arabs, and Christians and actually there was never independence for the people who lived there, because each time there was different regime that ruled it. In 1948, the British, who ruled this land at that time, agreed to give independence to the people living there, if they would agree to divide it. One state for Jews, and one state for Arabs. The Jews gladly accepted the offer, as it would finally be the first Jewish state after 2,000 years of exile. On the other hand, the Arabs didn't agree to it (even though they had an interest- gaining independence after years of harsh foreign regimes) and declared war on the same day. This war was joined by 7 Arab countries surrounding Israel (who didn't want a Jewish state to be established in the Middle East), but Israel won this war and managed to conquer the entire territory of this land. I will only note that this is how every country in history was established: There is war> one side loses and one side wins> the winner gets independence/territory. The Arabs who lived here were divided into two: Arabs who remained in the State of Israel and received Israeli citizenship, and Arabs who began calling themselves 'Palestinians' in areas of Gaza and the West Bank, which were in the beginning under Israeli control but Israel left this territories as part of 'Oslo agreements', and nowdays the Gaza strip is under control of 'Hamas', which is a terror organization, and the West Bank is under 'Palestinian Authority'. Israel offered the Palestinians solutions to the conflict and offered them big percentages of Israel's territory just for peace, but they continue to reject any Israeli offer. it's basically a problem of both governments, I wouldn't say it's really about the people because there are many Arabs that still live in Israel, and they all live in peace. Anyway, Palestinians do want to have their own state, but at the same time they don't recognize Israel, and they still call it "occupied Palestine", if you ask me it's stupid because it got independence by the UN, but for now the territories of Gaza and West bank are considered to be "Palestine". it's very controversial and most countries don't really accept it as an official independent country though. So yes, waving a Palestinian flag in ISRAEL, out of all the countries in the world, is very disrespectful to many Israelis, since Israelis and Palestinians are basically enemies. and also the palestinian flag is banned from Eurovision because it's so controversial.. so they were actually breaking eurovision rule by doing this. I hope it was a good explanation, if you have any more questions feel free to ask me🤗
maya le Oh, it makes sense now! I was just really curious because when I watched this year’s Eurovision I instantly fell in love with Hatari (I really wanted them to win ;-;), and so when I found out about this controversy about that flag I wanted to know what the deal was with it. It’s been frustrating not understanding what’s going on. Thank you! It was a good explanation, by the way 😊
@@quackquackx But you know when you get information about a conflict don´t trust either one that is having the conflict. Just google and read more neutral side of things. Saying that i´m not saying he is wrong, but you know when 2 people argue both of them are right (by their own standards)
@@kristjanthorsteinsson3412 1. I get your point but everything I've said is based on facts, you can find it all on the internet as well. Even though I'm Israeli, I tried to explain her everything objectively, without really getting into my personal opinions. 2. In my opinion it would actually be better if people heard the points of view of people on both sides before they formed their opinion about this conflict. I don't think the information you find on Google will give you a better picture of the conflict than people who live here and deal with this never-ending war.
why did they "smuggle" the flags from ramallah? makes no sense. it is not illegal in Israel, they could have just bought one in tel aviv. also, it's not smuggling if it isn't illegal.
grn gal boycotting the contest wouldn’t have had that same impact . On live tv in front of 200millions of people was the best way to raise awareness about the palestinien case
There is a petition on change.org in support of Hatari and Iceland and against a petition disqualifying Iceland. Very few people signed the petition, while 40,000 people have already signed the petition for disqualification. Let's help Hatari and Iceland.
