It always amuses me when you say things like, " This is an old lady version". I am really old, fifteen years older than you ! I loved this song when the first version was a mega hit, I was young then. It still touches my really old lady soul. Thanks for the great music. ( I think music, and what it does to us, is actually ageless. )
Dear Linda . . . . . if Ms. Ronstadt somehow hears this, i'm sure that it would undoubtedly touch her heart . . . . . i know it did mine . . . . . . . .. . Danny in Mississippi
well, it's been a long while since this old man stopped by for a healthy dose of Linda ... too long, really, but life is what it is ... ... my first impression was ... wow, what beautiful, flowing silvery hair ... lovely, Linda ... as you have always been to me ... ... ... the song ... great! ... LR is another of my favorite singers and this song just gets down to the heart and soul of unrequited love ... been there ... thank you for a wonderful rendition ... now, you don't know me, dear, but that being said, I'll still send along a big, warm hug from a "long, long time" admirer ... with all possible blessing this day has to offer you ... onward ...
Wow! Double Wow!! You are the only artist in the world who could do justice to this song. Your tribute so beautifully honors Linda's singing voice which sadly has been silenced. Thank you! 🎵💖🎶
You did a fantastic job on this song Linda.........You even sounded a lot like Ronstadt on this song whether by design or not I don't know, never the less, if you did, Oh my goodness your ability to transform your voice is unreal. Wow! you are truly an amazing talent. I had to listen several times to make sure it was you.
Just listened to Vienna ….for the 1000th time !!! It’s an absolute all time favourite!!! You are amazing ❤️ from Canada. Yes, love this one too. You’re a doll ! Thank you
You Never Cease To Amaze Me with The Voice You Possess Linda. Can't wait for the next one. May I request a recording of "A Broken Wing" by Martina McBride?. There's a recording of you singing it live here on RU-vid but the 1st verse or so is unrecorded and My Gosh You SING the end of the song so chillingly spectacular it deserves a proper full recording.
Oh my gosh you have the voice of an angel. I had the privilege of seeing you on Broadway in Jekyll and Hide and again in concert. Your music makes me so happy thank you!
Thrilled to see you see step out of your comfort zone and try something different. While this is a Linda Ronstadt cover song, you made it your own with an incredible emotional vocal display. Kudos to you Linda! Hope to see more vlogs like this.
WOW!! That was fabulous. I've always loved that song but now I love it more since you have touched it with your class and grace. Simply sublime! Thank you! 💙💛
My favorite Linda Ronstadt song! It’s a tough one to duplicate, but if anyone can nail it of course you can, queen! I’ve been a huge fan of yours since I was 10 years old, and you are still so amazing! Just as beautiful, too!
Interesting similarities between Linda Eder and Linda Ronstadt: both were born in Tucson, Arizona; both were raised on a ranch/farm; both have a multi-octave vocal range; both starred on Broadway; and, oh yeah, both are incredible women.
Dear Ms. Eder: Thank you for a lovely interpretation of Linda Rondstadt's song. Though her beautiful voice has been silenced, your version allows us to hear your wonderful vocals, as well as recall Ronstadt's music. It is in my musical wish list to see you perform in person, one day. Thank you, Roman in Austin, Texas
Welcome back! I knew you could do Barbra, and Broadway but I had no idea how much I would love hearing Ronstadt with just a hint less twang. I thought the twang was the thang, but as usual, you made me think again. I hope we hear a lot more from you soon, because you give me the same warm and cozy feeling as a Pumpkin Spice latte.
It was Linda Ronstadt's birthday yesterday too! (On my FB page she is known as 'the other Linda we love") . It is a standing "grudge" in my family that I was too young to go to The Golden Bear, so I remain jealous that my step-brother got to meet her when she was starting out! Great song for your voice...love it!
Ahhh ... you sound amazing singing this song! Linda Ronstadt was my first musical influence at a young age and when I got older, you became my inspiration and teacher. It makes my heart happy to see these worlds colliding. Beautiful!!
So clear and haunting; A beautiful tribute to Linda during her birthday week. Thank you for another offering of your miraculous talent. I have tickets to see you when you play at the McCallum here in Palm Springs and can't wait.
Hey Linda. Hope your last 2 shows went well….Travel wise. Sucks with all the rain we’ve been getting. Haven’t even been able to jog in North Salem due to the weather.! See ya. Rose, Somers, NY
Much respect. You've brought to the song a lot of the elements of which Linda R originally did. Without mere imitation. I hope your little birdie charge has returned safely to the wild. Enjoy your heights of summer as we our depths of winter. It's actually sunny today, but the winds are howling up from the antarctic. Rattling the house, which is fortunately made of heavy timbers. (Must get the laundry off the line before it ends up in the neighbors.)
@@lindaederofficialyoutube Mozart is what we call here, "a little sticky". It's used for a pet, any young animal, or child who sticks close to a certain adult they are very fond of. Sticky hand-reared animals also get called "sooks/sooky", which comes from suck/suckling. It also means any person who is 'overly sensitive'. I'll teach you to talk 'Strian (Australian) yet. 😉
