I don't think that we should hate this woman or anything of that nature, but is not it kinda sad that Nancy and Mark (and maybe others) are still suffering because of her behavior. It is now about THEIR lives, yet they are thinking about her... The pictire taken at the orphanage is very sad. Look at them, mother and daughter. I have had an opportunity to visit my friend in an orphanage once (thankfully she was only there for 3-4 month I think) and yeah, kids there feel really awful, I would be suprised if any of them is somewhat happy, I even recognize sad face expression of 12 y.o. Nancy. Mother looks sad as well. Why not do everything you can to take your child home out of that place and live happily ever after? What can be more important than that? 8 kids none with her? C'mon.

MUJEMO ABRAHAM DNA is amazing but sadly it is still a very new thing in terms of finding family through it. A lot of people don’t register themselves or people find a super distant relative and can’t trace that person to who they are trying to find. That is why shows like this with a top notch team of genealogists and law/records experts is so great. They search the old fashioned way and check/confirm DNA if they find a family member.
@mujemoabraham6522
@mujemoabraham6522 3 года назад
@@BroadwayBound009 I do agree with you that the DNA science is a new thing for many people but it's very accurate as per my experience with it more than nine years now. Better for the people to start with it before searching in the law files / records .... etc...... ( less headache and short time )
@BroadwayBound009
@BroadwayBound009 3 года назад
MUJEMO ABRAHAM totally agree, DNA doesn’t lie. However it can be expensive to register on the sites and lead to nothing. That’s why genealogists use public records, newspaper articles, birth/death certificates, census records, property records and a ton of other sources to piece together the stories and families. Now with the addition of DNA is can cut down on search time if you get a hit or it can 100% confirm or deny your findings from traditional genealogy searching.

In the case of Mark's birth mother, it must have been a very difficult and sad existence, as it would be for any person unable to manage their lives in a stable way. @marietgagliardi I know this is old comment but in case you still see the answer: I believe most of the adoptees in the serie are grateful for their adoptive parents and the love and care. But adoption always starts with trauma, with abandonment. Also it's in human nature to want to know of their roots and biological background. And in the end, if nothing else, it's good to know about reoccurring health issues in biofamily etc. so you can let your doctors know because you are in the risk of those too.

It’s a bit fascinating when hearing about women who have 6, 7, 8 kids and give them up, sometimes one at a time, and keep on giving birth. I know one right now who has birthed about 6 or 7. The oldest was raised by his father, the middle ones are all in foster care. She has the youngest only because, I believe, she’s still with it’s father. She complains on FB about her baby annoying her in various ways. Even so, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if she popped out another one. I wonder sometimes, if a tubal was offered when they were in hosp having one, if they would take the opportunity and have it done, since all they seem to be able to do for their kids is make them miserable in one way or another.

Allison’s mom didn’t make Allison’s presence a big celebration or talk about her too much because Allison was a pregnancy out of wedlock and in those days those were severe transgressions in society. She was probably ashamed and fearful of her own husband. Maybe she wanted to keep Allison and her husband couldn’t handle it. She might have been really sad inside about it.

I've been watching this show for 2 years I can't get enough..ive cried a lot, ..how some of this children survive. Sometimes I get mad because of the reasons that parents leave their children but is not for me to judge

These stories are always moving Thrilled that we in the States can share the ITV Long Lost Family! BTW, your photography choices this season add and don’t distract from the poignant story lines. Thank you for doing this!!! Shots of foreheads and walls were very disconcerting Well done!

this redefines the concept of "a mother forgives anything to her child". in this show, children forgive anything to their parents.

I wonder if Nancy and Mark would go on to try and find the rest of their siblings. I think it could be healing for all of them. Also they should try to find their bio dads. Some of them could have the same dads. I don't think all 8 children had the same dad because that'd mean their parents would've had to have a years long relationship and I doesn't seem like she ever had one at all. It would be crazy if them two happened to have the same bio dad. I feel bad for their mom, she had her own demons, probably suffered from depression.

I was the same age when my mum told me the same thing! I was a gift from god but that she did not have me. I was like so you don't want me anymore? as I remember them tears run down her pink cheeps! I said I don't care your my mum and nothing else matters I only love you mum!! Some time later I was told that my BIo carrier was actually my sister! good god! the most horribleness person on the face of creation!! we never connected and id see come and go drop a new born and come back years later to leave another one! its very sad a mean ugly unlovable person could exist! So glad I have no memories of her just as a mean older sibling! and thank God for my mum! a trillion times!

Each episode I watch just solidifies my belief that all adoptions should be open and birth parents need to play some sort of role in the child's life. Growing up feeling abandoned is a horrible, horrible feeling.

Another OUTSTANDING Episode! These presenters conduct themselves so respectful of the families. There is another British show; “Who Do You Think You Are” that I also like but the USA licensed version is horrible. Many of the participants in America don’t really want to delve into their families secrets. It’s all fluff over here. Bravo to the production crew in the UK and all associated with this show!

How hard it is for children to learn when they are older that they were adopted. I'm glad that has changed.

it's for the show. a lot of the time people don't know if they're going to cry if they read it themselves, so the show gives them the option to let the presenters read it.
