Alex, could you Please do an instructional video on how you are doing the chop block against loop close to the table with long pip ox and also how you are hitting pushes with the long pip. In particular, teaching the part that starts at 3:15. Thanks much!
3:08 and on is great. Being new to LP, If I'm understand the stroke right. Vs his topspin, you do a chop/block motion to keep it low which returns backspin to him. He then pushes that ball to you. Now to hit a backspin ball it looks almost like you are doing this side/forward pushing motion with an open face of the blade. Is that stroke commonly referred to as the swipe? I take it that returns topspin to him continuing the spin? Can you block and kill the ball making it knuckle? Thanks.
I'm playing with Hallmark Frustration OX on a TSP X-series defensive combi, but I'm thinking of pairing it with one of my Tenergy 80's on a Butterfly Petr Korbel blade. What differences would i see?
Did your long pip side has sponge? What's the difference ? Does Korean chopper player Ju-suy-he use sponge on pip side? Thanks for anyone sharing your opinions ! This question has bothered me long.
Andrea Martina don’t rush your strokes! The ball will not come forward to you like a topspin will but don’t reach forward to hit the ball. Your stoke must be mostly up, not forward.
Good job Alex, sad that Wang Zhen is no longer the best Table Tennis player in North America now that Atlanta Georgia has Shi Mingyu as a resident : ) Muhahahaha
Too late on your FH loop all time ! Technique with L pips is good. But you are not taking the ball close to the bound on FH when looping, it is a loose of power and speed.
That man was in the world top 60 for a long time and is the best player in North America, his technique is absolutely working for him and he was only playing casually in this video.
