I have been a police firearms instructor for 30years. Your trigger press with the revolver is outstanding. Shooting at long distances with a revolver is a lot harder than it looks. Forget the rifle use the revolver. Great shooting.
@@gsxraiders I hear ya. I have a lot of handguns but love my revolvers best. Lately I have been into .357 guns. Even break out the old Python once in a while.
Probably just me, but I would be 😃 grinning from ear to ear because it is a beautiful day, I'm bustin' caps with an awesome hand cannon, in spite of not being completely accurate today & listening to it "boom" & "crack" in the breeze, smelling that cordite....Nice!! 😊 Thanks!!
This is what I'm about to attempt as soon as I can get more large pistol magnum primers. I'm using 240 gr berry's plated flat point bullets 9.5 grains of 244 Winchester powder and federal large pistol magnum gold match primers I'm using my smith and wesson model 629-6 Talo edition 6.5 barrel I live behind the iron curtain in New Jersey so my ranges doesn't allow steel to be shot less than 200 yards. I have a man size steel silhouette target that's 12x20 I hope I have the same luck/skil you had. Great shooting and very nice grips
Been shooting 44 mag and handloading for it since the mid 70's Some balance issues these days so can't really shoot offhand for long. Our favorite target is a 2 liter soda at 110 yards. My 6" 629 is extremely accurate. The front sight on your gun is a Patridge which is my favorite sight.. Red ramps are kinda dumb. I bought 'night sights' which is tritium inserts But I got em cause the red ramp can be pushed out and when you add this insert it turns the sight into a Patridge. I use cast and coated (HT) bullets that I either do myself or buy from a commercial caster now that he offers HT coat. i run em with a medium burn powder at around 1200 fps according to my chrono.
I shoot a lot of 9mm and .40 at 100yds offhand, some 10mm occasionally. It's a nice skill to have especially when the tool can deliver the energy at distance. Did you mention what load was used? I find JHPs to be more accurate at distance.
NICE --- That's good shooting ----- Maybe I'm wrong????? but I see deer with a handgun about the same as archery ---- with a 357 magnum (distance wise [25 to 50yds.]) and about 50 to 100 yards with the 10mm and a bit further with the 44 magnum(all depending on your visual acuity). All with good ammo but of course {Buffalo Bore ammo changes this}.
I know somebody else beat me to it, but you definitely don't have to justify anything for missing the target occasionally from that far away, especially with a gun that gives that much recoil. You're a damn sharp shooter, and I enjoyed the video👍🏽
HITTING "OFFHAND" WITH AN IRON SITE 44 MAGNUM AT 55YDS 120YDS CONSISTENTLY AND AGAIN AT OVER 200YDS. IF YOU'RE NOT IMPRESSED YOU HAVE "NOOOOO CONCEPTION" OF WHAT IT TAKES TO DO THAT!!!!!!!!! AWESOME SIR!!!!!
