@@pokeprogame Literally make the game pause with Sephiroth standing up straight from his battlestance saying "Wait, what?" Only to crouch in panic and go "OH S#$%!!" when the Supernova is suddnely pointed HIS way.
I feel like this battle would be hilarious, because Sephiroth would probably get so mad that they’re just dancing, totally not taking it seriously at all, and yet winning
@@cameronballz6154 "Hey luigi ya got any spaghetti at home?" "Aww man, Mario I forgot to buy some at the shop" "Eh, it's okay, we'll buy them after we beat this sword guy, and then we go to Bowser"
Ok I know everyone says "The bros would deflect supernova" BUT IF WE'RE BEING REALISITIC, it'd probably be more of a Dark Star mega laser situation *where they just casually dodge an attack that just pierced the entire solar system and shattered the earth.*
Yeah, I can't really imagine this kind of attack being REFLECTED. It doesn't sound right for its sheer power to begin with, so dodging sounds more accurate here. Plus, it's technically an easy deal with Ribbons in the original game anyway, so avoiding it sounds more on par.
Everyone's imaging Mario and Luigi vs. Sephiroth while I'm imaging a Bowser's Inside Story-style game where Sephiroth (very begrudgingly) has to work with the two and pull off team attacks with them Edit: LUIGINARY SUPERNOVA
Mario & luigi take sephiroth to the mushroom kingdom as a rehabilitation trip, only to go on yet another adventure cause bowser's cooking a whole new level of evil. Basically, sephiroth would be their equivalent to Deltarune's susie.
Sephiroth: *Has long sword* Hehe I will destroy you plumbers >:) Luigi: Magic Window? Mario: Magic Window. *Sephiroth proceeds to get humiliated by the Magic Window*
You think this would be outlandish, but no. Mario already has fought a Final Fantasy-like character in the first Mario RPG game, the one with Smithy. And Sephiroth has seen Donald and Goofy, cartoony guys like Mario and Luigi, in Kingdom Hearts. So this is perfectly natural.
Also keep in mind there is a hidden boss in Mario RPG that is called Bahamut. I don't know much about FFVII but isn't there a character called bahamut in that universe?
My personal interpretation of this fight is after Mario and Luigi deflect an attack, Sephiroth takes a moment to think about what they did and then replicates it (a lot of people forget he's actually pretty smart). The fight then proceeds to turn into a Ganondorf Tennis match
I know everyone jokes about the bros deflecting Supernova but I like to imagine a version where Sephiroth actually uses this move at the start and the Supernova animation instead plays at the top of the screen, as in the ENTIRE scene, and that's your time limit, do as much damage as you can before it hits and you force the magic constructed meteor to disperse
this is kind of like the ludwig fight where you have to counterattack enough times before the giant ball is charged up, or just that one guardian guy who sets off a timer til they go kaboom, I like it!
Don't get me wrong, I get the appeal of this meme. It's funny to imagine the cartoonish Mario characters absolutely stomping Sephiroth who is a big self-serious badass in his own game. But I think a lot of people forget that Mario has genuinely already encountered and defeated a Final Fantasy superboss named Culex in SMRPG
Cloud:(watches Sephiroth get schooled by two pudgy plumbers with off-the-rack hardware tools) (looks at his own sword) Cloud: Dammit, everyone was right. I am overcompensating!
No Cloud you're not. You're a slightly enhanced human being fighting a professional super soldier turned god. While these two are Star Children with the power of the cosmos in their FINGERS alone. Of course it would be hard! You need that sword.
Mario and Luigi groovin while Sephiroth calculates the exact trajectory to launch a meteor through several planets and hit the sun to engulf the planet in a supernova explosion (They're gonna jump over it)
Honestly it would have been so dope if they added like a bro attack to the Mario movie, the superstar saga one for the most part would have even been realistic with their construction background
@@avalacheavalanche at least one of their games is being ported to the switch. Still not enough to get me to assume that the series is coming back, but hey, any piece of hope is still a piece of hope.
The original version of this cover (the one linked in the description) is almost the only version of OWA other than the original I genuinely think is any good. There's a famitracker one, Smooth McGroove, that one, and now this one. Yes, I'm including all the "official" remakes of the music too. All of them try too hard and become slightly too generic and/or lose some of the intensity. It's a shame.
@@klop4228 Personally my favorite is the Smooth McGroove one, FamiTracker close 2nd. Theres also a Mega Man remix of OWA. Genuinely love the creative work that comes out for this song.
These comments are gonna make me fall out of my chair😂 Sephiroth would probably use supernova then Starlow freezes time and is like, "HOLD IT! Want me to explain dodging?"
Sepiroth watching as Mario and Luigi pull out a doohickey after deflecting supernova with a well timed hammer swing (he was not prepared for the full power of cartoon logic)
The way Sephiroth is positioned in the foreground, looking forwards, to find the Bros in the background is perfect. It frames Mario and Luigi as the boss, which makes sense, given that they would completely dominate Sephiroth.
*( E X E L E N T !!! )* so exellent? from what ive seen that is the end of their attack. i need to use supernova.. (pov: mario and luigi are using magic window)
Mario and the co. were got buffed, so it's fair for her to got beaten. Sephiroth is, well...a different story. (Assuming the Bros were max level and is 100% the game and stuffs)
"Whu... What?! Why didn't my Supernova destroy you! It destroys entire solar systems!" "Well a-yes. But it a-doesn't destroy our a-hammers! Wahoo!" *Counters Supernova*
Sephiroth: Prepare to face dispear! *Sephiroth theme plays* *Mario and Luigi starts vibing to the music* Sephiroth: ..... Oh come on, you're supposed to be scared Mario: Sorry but the music is too good *Sephiroth waits for Mario and Luigi's turn to go through so that he can attack but he can't because they don't want to attack*
Sephiroth becomes so powerful that he can will himself to move if the brothers do not make a move for a long time with an instant-death move because he becomes that impatient as befits a scared near-god about to complete his godhood
Sephiroth watching in awe as mario and luigi summon a meteor just to hit it with their hammers and get a mushroom out of it (its the most destructive magic)
And because of how powerful it is reflecting it would likely one shot Sephiroth. Especially considering he wouldn't start with it, and would likely be wounded when he uses it.
Other characters when trouble arrives: long, intricate lore with several intense and really powerful bosses and edgy people Mario and Luigi: *casually presses the A and B buttons*
Sephiroth when Mario and Luigi call in Paper Mario goes into Luigi's dreams calls in bowser makes bowser huge then makes Luigi huge while paper Mario turns him into a kite and then Mario starts riding in on a star while starlow gives a 100% accurate tutorial on how to beat his ass
the soundtrack to me watching in horror as 3 Longsword mains join my hunt (they're going to whiff Helmbreaker every 30 seconds and trip me for the entirety of the hunt)
That was the most badass remix of M&L and Sephiroth I’ve heard so far, those 2 mixes so well, I wish Sephiroth could be an easter egg final boss in the official M&L Rpg since they had a crossover before so I don’t see why not
The blackness in the eyes, the emotionless stare, the robotic dancing. Sephiroth looks at the two being of incomprehensible power in front of him. Starlow stares him down, with a smile and uncaring eyes that only said one thing... *"This is your fate"*
This is like if the battle had 2 stages, or if you fought him twice in the game, and this was the last time. its great. But sephiroth is still screwed.
As a fan of both franchises (and Bowser's Inside Story being my favorite game of all time), this is an amazing crossover I'll listen to for a looooooong time. Bravo! 👏
