Yup that is right, we have had this machine hiding in the garage for a bit and, well it was time to talk about it! And funny fact. It is a 31 Degree lean angle but it does not feel like it at all.... My dang .... Also buy the T-Shirts to help aid in more content, more trips, more things, and hopefully adding giveaways! We're looking to grow and you can help! See merch shelf below!
Like what we do? We have an address now for that! want to donate to the channel or to the rescues you can now send this to:

Great honest review. After years of Harleys and Triumphs, Ive just ordered a new 2020 Scout 100th Anniversary model. Im in Australia so as there's only 750 worldwide, there's only a handful of these models in the whole country. Ive opted for the stage 1 exhaust mod with the shorter Indian slip ons that will increase the HP again and sound much deeper, louder and better and add some floor boards. Cant wait to hoon around like you do! Cheers and thanks.

Great bike. I love mine. The Indian red paint is stunning. I’m sure you’ll love it. Mines an anniversary too and I went with white walls, mini apes and a Vance and Hines exhaust. It’s a beast, and angry red beast 😂

@@empiredrummer nice mate, that'll certainly be a unique look. I picked mine up today! Immediately on first start up the stage 1 kit and Indian shortys sounded soooo cool. I highly recommend the mod. I had an 80min ride back home and enjoyed every minute. Yes, even the seat was totally comfortable. If there was anything I'd do it would be to put 3" risers on the handlebars to get them at an ideal level. I love the beach bar look, but I would appreciate a straighter back riding position. Overall, I'm in love! I wonder if there's anyway to find out what build number out of the 750 we each have?

Sounds like you’re having a blast already. I know, I did wonder that, it would be nice to know, I didn’t have anything in my paperwork and there’s nothing on the bike that I know of. You would think there would be some sort of limited edition ‘number’

I'm a short dude with a bad back and fake parts and just bought a 2017 scout (private sale) a couple days ago and already put just over 500 miles on it with no discomfort at all. The only thing that's annoying so far is the whine but as far as the mileage...its america, we got plenty of gas stations. Oh yea and HD riders dont make fun of me for riding a girly sportster lol
@kybourbonboy
@kybourbonboy 3 года назад
Yeah...the whine. That's the primary drive. On the Scout it's gear driven as opposed to chain. Hence the whine. Took me a while to get used to it. I have noticed that if the belt is adjusted to Indian specs the whine is louder than if it is a tad less tight. I now do mine by feel and no longer use a tension gauge.

Sportster was the only real harley and they cancelled it. You used to be able to get an 883 a 1200 a 48 a 72. Now if you want that, you cant get it from harley, but you can from indian. Harley is bigger and shrinking harley is smaller and growing. My area had 2 harley dealers nearby they arguably cancelled the best one of the 2 in my opinion and i hope indian gets the location.

I picked up the '18 Scout Sixty. I replaced the pegs with Kuryakin mini-boards. I'm the same height with a little longer inseam. The boards are significantly better than the pegs for comfort. I got a 2-up seat from Corbin, also gives a little bit of an extended reach. I agree about the handlebars, they could use a little height. I'm currently waiting for my mini-apes to show up. Can't wait to see how they look and feel.

Rode my 2015 Harley Super Low 1200T to an Triumph/Indian Dealer yesterday. I test rode the 2020 Rocket III GT. OMG, I now know why the named it "Rocket" ! Totally surprised that it lived up to all that I read about it and the YT videos I've watched. Excellent motorcycle in it's class, in fact it is in a class of it's own ! It far out classes/passes any Harley I have so far ridened in all aspects (though I think the 2020 Harley Fat Boy is the most beautiful motorcycle by far). It is expensive but so are new Harleys. The Rocket even has Hill assist ! The only thing lacking at this time is proper touring luggage options for it. Ok, I have my heart set on my next bike to be the KTM 790 Adventure S (which I test rode about a month or so ago). Gawd, wish I could win a lottery, 20 million net plus would be nice, haha. But really, I do have my Harley as a mini Cruiser, so I guess the KTM will be the next bike I will own in combination to my Harley and 2016 MG V7II Stone. *** By the way, #Rabid Hedgehog you owe it to yourself to test ride, for if nothing but the thrill, the 2020 Rocket III ! Also you should try the KTM 790 Adventure S for a test ride as well. IMO it is the BEST Middle Weight Adventure Bike on the market right now.

It seems like it's a long motorcycle from the forks to the seat, just looking at the handlebars. It used to be that a normal handlebar, maybe I should say an average setting of the handlebars would be that the vertical part of the bar right from where it clamps would be along the line of the front forks, and from there you would move them either forward or backward depending on personal preference to where you want your handgrips to be. The way they are right there, just looks funny to me, but I'm an old school type. The clutch pull is hard, but I'm comparing that to 38- year- old technology. I've been riding old BMW K bikes for that long. There is a lot I will be giving up should I be giving up on the old K. I can't imagine an easier and more precisely shifting transmission than the old K. My only complaint about it is that it's so easy and precise that the tendency is to get a lazy foot which usually happens about two months into the riding season, and then a missed gear happens, but that's only because of getting a lazy foot because it shifts so nicely. So that's what happens when you get a transmission that shifts so nicely. It can spoil you for sure. Now that I'm getting older, I'm looking for a relatively light bike with a low seat height. I know I will be giving up the best rain protection ever, but with that comes living without any wind and sometimes I would like to feel the wind. Usually not, though.

I'm looking at a Scout and wondering if I should make my own auxiliary fuel tank and mount it on the fender, making it into the shape of a seat and covering it like a seat so it doesn't look like I'm carrying another 2 gallons of gas. Then I could ride with the big bikes and ask them if we have to be stopping for gas all the time.

I don't know if this is a concern, but when your taking a corner and your going wide you need to countersteer and lean more to make the turn. What happens when you have no more lean because of the pegs. Does that scenario ever come up on this bike.
@RabidHedgehog
@RabidHedgehog 3 года назад
Not that I have ever felt really. The Sportster was also the same way, low to the ground, but I never felt like they were so low to deprive a little agility in that scenario. The only frame to ever not be that great and could cause concern was the old Softail platform, specifically the original Breakout. Too wide and low and raked.

Would you say it's a good beginner bike?
@RabidHedgehog
@RabidHedgehog Год назад
Here is how I will start my answer, are you okay with dropping it? Though it has great seat height, balance, and controllability I would recommend it as the 2nd motorcycle and here is why, it is still potent and very capable of throwing a new person for a loop due to its stealth speed ability. What is this stealth speed? This one is computer limited to 128, it is capable of a quarter mile in 12.7 seconds and 0-60 in around 4. It also is metal in many many places and is expensive if dropped. If you are a very responsible person that respects the machine and treat it like grandma's 100th birthday cake while being delivered to that once in a lifetime event then yes, it can for sure be a beginner motorcycle, and could also be the one and only because there is plenty to grow into as a new rider, but I still lean towards the side of caution and say get the first one to trash to keep the forever machine happy.

@RabidHedgehog
@RabidHedgehog 3 года назад
Hold it on the pegs? Every bike ever can be rode to that limit. Some come earlier than others sure, but that's what riding your ride is. A cruiser like this one is not a 100% pure Canyon carving machine so yes I don't expect it to layover at 43 degrees to get through a turn. The only reason one is dragging is the bike saying you've reached it's limit and the bike's lean indication studs are grinding. A cruiser is just saying there's my limit, and a sport bike is saying you haven't got there yet if there's silence.

It trimmed down the amount of machines and maintenance costs and everything that goes with it. But it was through no fault in the CB1100 and I still want to have one like it in my garage, just felt downsizing was necessary and 2020 proved it in a hurry.
