Its so amazing that he did all of those shows, coast to coast, 7,560 kilometres of music, with a huge part of his brain missing, after a major surgery. 🇨🇦❤️

I can't believe that tour was 7 years ago. The outpouring of love and nostalgia for all the ways the Hip had touched people's lives that followed the announcement of the diagnosis was just something else. It felt like everyone had just found out that a close friend had terminal cancer. My friends rented a projector and screen and had a party in their backyard to live stream the final concert and it was a perfect summer evening. In Gord we trust ❤️🇨🇦

Thanks for breaking up this documentary Rory. It allows me to get through it. Remembering the shows with a handful of people there, until the end…and seeing the love for Gord and The Hip on this final tour brings tons of memories cascading from a drunken teenager to a grown man with a family. The Hip is Canadiana …and always will be.

Gordie not only plowed through every show on the tour, it was a different setlist every night. They had almost played their entire discography that summer

Gord was also a part-time film/television actor. "Well I ain't no movie star, but I can get behind anything."

The Horseshoe is all very famous bar/music venue in downtown Toronto where The Hip played a lot of shows back in the day. Fun fact, the lyrics in Bobcaygeon “That night in Toronto, with its checker board floors” is in reference to The Horseshoe and it’s iconic floor and stage setup

Edmonton, the last Tour. Walked from our hotel, through the poring rain, 30C out. The entire crowd stood outside in the rain to get in to the concert. It was so humid in the stadium from the whole crowd being soaked to the bone, that it was almost foggy in the stadium. Every one was so mesmerized and excited that the entire audience stood the entire time. You would look left and right and the people around you were alternating cheering and crying. The show was the best I've ever seen. and I've seen a lot of shows. Ive never felt a crowd so on one wavelength so in tune with the band. It was an experience I feel lucky to have had.

Rory, i watched Tragically Hip through this last weekend, i am so disappointed that i didnt discovered Hip years ago! I laughed and cry my eyes out. Gord Downie touched my heart and in my soul! The only other artists that has done is Eddie Vedder and Robert Plant and Pink Floyd. Did you see when Gord Downie was honored my Native American and blessed him. Very emotional and very powerful!! RIP Sweet Gordie Downie 😇💝🌹 He is a legend!! Awesome reaction Rory!! Thank You for sharing this with us and thank you for whomever requested this. 😊💓🤘✌️
