Great finds! Free is one of my favorite bands. Every album is amazing. The UK first pressings are the ones to go for sound wise. Actually they made one before the s/t called Tons of Sobs. An amazing blues rock album. Holy shit! Introspection is such a rare and cool album. Congrats!!
Thank you! I love Free! A first UK would be amazing! I thought Tons of Sobs was their second album? I've got that one, too. Introspection is mind blowing. Thanks for watching! ✌️
Matching mole brilliant and their other album also, I love little games yardbirds puzzles is a great track very underrated album and the end you picked up another surper album and that cover is usually destroyed very expensive in the UK also, a fantastic batch of records mate I would be very happy well done
I'm definitely gonna re listen to it when I get the chance. Little Games definitely has its moments. Was absolutely thrilled to get The End! I am super happy! Thanks for watching ✌️
Some tracks just felt like filler to me. Its an enjoyable listen, and I will continue to listen to it. Maybe it will grow a little more on me. Thanks for watching! ✌️
Man nothing but smokers here! There’s a copy of that Camel album in an antique store back in my hometown and it’s been there for like 5 yrs Haha! Small town Iowa apparently doesn’t know about Camel LoL! Not familiar with Matching Mole I’ll have to stream it. That Road album is an amazing pick up! Been on my want list for a long time! Great pick! Is it an original? Wow! Like the Chutes & Ladders sleeve on Gilgamesh! I freaking blew a chance to pick up that Alamo LP about 4 yrs ago for $20 and I didn’t know what it was and by the time I figured it out It had been bought! 😔 That Free record is so good! ❤hat a great band! Paul Rodger’s is such an amazing vocalist! Cant go wrong with Yardbirds! Great album! Way to save the best for last! The copy I have is a reissue that has 2 LPs Introspection & Retrospection The extra record has never released tunes on it It’s a nice package reissue! Another amazing outing with Sorin’s Vinyl! ✨✌️👽✨
Camel is fantastic! I find that in these small towns, the obscure stuff sticks around for a little longer. Road is an original and I couldn't believe the condition of it myself! Another copy of Alamo will come I'm sure! Paul rodgers is amazing! Thank you so much for watching and commenting! ✌️ ☮️
Hi there, just found your channel, nice continuous video - good to see a young man into 'Canterbury' UK records. Matching Mole's Little Red Book is also a superb album. Try some Hatfield and the North (Rotters Club), Caravan (Waterloo Lily) and Gentle Giant (Octopus)? Keep exploring. Cheers, Paul
Hey! Thanks for watching! The Canterbury scene is one of my favorite little sub genres of music. I'll look out for a copy of Little Red Book. I'm still looking for some Hatfield and The North Records. I've got Waterloo Lilly and The Power and The Glory by Gentle Giant. Always looking out for more of their records. ✌️
@craigsandry6737 He is a wonderful guitar player. The Live at the Isle of Wight footage is fantastic and shows Kossoff in his prime. Paul Rogers said Kossoff was the best guitar player hes ever been in a band with I think. Thank you!
One I'd recommend "The Return Of Ken Whaley" by Help Yourself. Just an incredibly tripped out side one with a more song based side 2. The finale to "It Has To Be" , sounds like someone ripping the universe open.
Cool Camel record I have the dragon cover also Just picked up the Snow Goose today Love the Road and Alamo albums 🔥I need to find some Free on vinyl Agree on Little Games kind of underwhelming still cool to have. Congrats on the End piece awesome album I settled for a reprint Great finds Take care ☮️
Nice! I'm still looking for The Snow Goose and a bunch more of their albums. Road and Alamo are 🔥 for sure. Free is fantastic, pick of Fire and Water if you see it. Its around 10 bucks and its fantastic blues rock/classic rock. Thanks for watching! ✌️
I am actually thinking about starting to do that next year! If I did, I would have a Psychedelic Underground station. I'll definitely let all of you know if I end up doing that! Thanks for watching! ✌️
Have you heard Gila - Free electric sound Or Dom - Edge of time? Free Story also sounds great if i remember correctly, but yes that album sounds phenomenal
@@sorinvinyl1523What about the German XHOL CARAVAN = prog rock with 2 electic saxophones and with Coltrane live jams... And the Danish MAXWELLS = a sort of Mothers of Inventions with a mighty blowing section. My personal favorite is the Swedish HANSSON & KARLSSON, the best organ/drums duo ever (watch them live on YT) with their album MONUMENT. I saw them jamming with Jimi Hendrix on bass. The next evening Hendrix played their tune Tax Free on his Stockholm concert and some months later he invited them to England, where they produced their 3. album MAN ON THE MOON = a real space trip. Greetings!
Are you familiar with Apple Tree Theatre-Playback a concept album by excellent musicians like Larry Coryell and Eric Gale, it was well loved by John Lennon, Bob Harris and John Peel at the time, 1967/8 incredible album imo!
Camel and Gilgamesh - wow , hard to find Gilgamesh on vinyl , so well done. There is a hard to find album in similar vein with Alan Gowen and Phil Miller also Richard Sinclair called Before a Word is Said , which is well worth checking out . Rain Dances my favourite by Camel , great band seen many times live.
I got such a good deal on gilgamesh, shipped from the US as well. I love Richard Sinclair, so I'll definitely add that to my wantlist! I wish I could've seen Camel live!
The End is such a killer record. I'm in the UK and yet to see an original (own the US) but I know a couple of old school collectors who have UK copies. One guy actually has 2 copies, bought for a pound or two back in the day. Just picked up the Road lp a few weeks ago as well, although mine is the UK press on Rare Earth. Single sleeve so I'd like a US as well. Redding was in Fat Mattress prior to Road and I like both of their lps but they don't have a particularly good rep. The Camel lp is still fairly easy to find here and only a few years ago it was £10 to £20 but more like £30 to £40 now. The Yardbirds was my most expensive purchase in the early 90s and paid £25, pretty much its value now. I could have bought virtually any Vertigo swirl for half that amount back then 😅. Great buys anyway mate...regards Nigel
The End is absolutely fantastic. Those old school collectors probably have some other fantastic albums sitting in their collections. UK press of Road is very cool! I need to re-visit Fat Matress, I remember them being decent, but I couldn't get over the horrible mix of my original US copy. I would've loved to find a copy of Camel while I was in London, but never stumbled upon one. I wish I was alive to buy Vertigo Swirls for $15 🤣. Thanks for watching! ✌️
@@sorinvinyl1523 Yep, I know a few 60+ year old guys with crazy records. Big UK rares picked up for pennies. I only started getting swirls in the early 00s and was paying just £10 to £20 for Sabbath's, Manfred Mann, etc. Even got a mint copy of Aphrodite's Child for £15! I only got a UK press of the 1st Fat Mattress a few years ago having owned the US since the 90s and it sounded great. Another one you don't see around often even though it's not that sought after. I'm sure you'll get that UK copy of Camel sooner rather than later. Regards Nigel
Camel is a great prog band. Introspection is one of my favorite psych albums now. I've played it many times this year. Definitely in my top 3 finds of the year!
Hey man. I'm still looking for the U.K. Camel "Mirage" lp myself, I refuse to get the U.S. version. I've been holding off on that Matching Mole for some time, just can't pull the trigger, unless the price is right. Gilgamesh I am unfamiliar with. Road is fuzz and wah wah heaven, love it! Alamo I have, it's growing on me, I wasn't all in at first, but it gets better with each listen. I picked up Free's first two albums last year, both OG, from the same shop. Wow. I had some sort of bias towards them due to their later works, but the first 2 are outstanding. The Yardbirds album does have its moments, you can definitely hear future Zeppelin in a few tracks. The End record is essential. Great pick ups. Peace.
I was the same way about Mirage, but a clean copy came, and it was like 5 bucks so I thought why not. My friend bought an original UK right in front of me for 10 bucks and I was so unbelievably jealous. Got a steal on Matching Mole! Free is a great band imo. Thanks for watching ✌️
I thought the text from Introspection may have been wiped off with some liquid. The text on top of foil covers over time doesn't age well, but that is strange to keep the credits on the back too. I dunno!
I had thought that as well until I noticed there was no track listing on the back either. It's definitely strange to remove all of the text on the cover except for the credits. It's a bit of a mystery.
