I met a guy whilst riding up Mount olypus in Greece who was riding from Sweden to New Zealand on a grom. It seems to be holding up just fine after thousands of miles and was much easier to handle on the muddy mountain passes than my triumph

That was my thought. One host with long hair and a bracelet, the other with short shorts and a cowboy hat going on a picnic together. I mean the only thing missing was maybe an Indian and a cop. I would have made a motorcycle joke about the cop riding an Indian but in this context it would just be... too far.

I've had my license for 1.5 years, and owned 4 bikes, and done roughly 20-25k miles of riding. Canyon carving, had my first track day, totalled a bike even! Street triples, GSXR, street triple again, and recently picked up a grom..... I have to say, the Grom is like my go to bike bros lol. It's not great at anything, or fast, but you always have a stupid grin on your face when you're riding the little thing lol. There's something fantastic about locking up your rear brake or doing a stoppy at every flipping stop sign or light.

A long time ago I had a little dr250 . I would have to say that it was the perfect size, weight, and power for a road going bike to convert to a full blown adventure bike with manners.

I've just signed up to T Rex racing to order the bits and pieces. I'm also adding a chimera cold air intake, re mapped ecu and better cam. I bought the Grom because it fits in the back of my Troop carrier which allows me to tow my boat. My ultimate touring setup in Australia. You blokes sum this bike up perfectly.

What's always been mysterious to me is that a few years ago I had a 50cc scooter that I installed a big bore kit on. I forget what it brought it up to, maybe around 90cc (new jug, piston, head, stock rotating assembly). The Grom and the equivalent Kawi aren't that much faster than my scooter was. I've always thought they should be a little quicker.

My GROM "Sparky" is a commuter. That said, I did ride it two up with saddle bags(packed for the weekend) from Chattanooga to Townsend, TN for the Smokey Mtn Crawl. It was a long ride, oh the fun!!!! Keep up the good work Mr. Yammie!!!!

"in 3rd gear flat out and I'm dropping speed" The main reason I don't want a Grom, sure they're great city bikes and just a dumb little thing to fuck around on, but I can't justify paying 3-5k for it, maybe if I made at least 50k a year but at that price you can get a 450-650 enduro and be able to do a lot more, thats why I went with a KLR

I've seeing people put 450cc and even higher engines on the grom's and grom clone's and the bike runs and performs just perfectly so yeah the grom and grom clone's are more than capable

You should do an "is more expensive better" series on the next pair of bikes you get. Two of the same bikes one gets the expensive upgrades and one gets the budget upgrade. Keeping the same theme obviously. Yes I thought of this because of donut media's one but it would be sick for bikes.

To use the 4th gear Better. Dont do a exhaust for offroad. Do a airbox mod and a 14T front sprocket. Maybee, speedo healer on IT. I got a Road goin Grom. 14t, exhaust, power commander mapped om a Rolling Road. I got to 10hp. If i ever build a Grom again, im goin for the 14t and a airbox mod.

Try drafting, seriously. Went to Key West to pick up an 87 Mazda Rx7 TurboII back in 2005 with a friend in a 2002 Honda Civic manual and we could only reach 109mph On the way down but on the way back, I was driving the TurboII and once on the divided toll road I told Tony in the Civic to hug my rear bumper and we were able to maintain 124mph from toll to toll. He was less than 10 feet from my bumper so It was a bit scary and we had a caravan of 4 or 5 other cars that were cruising along with us. Any higher than 124mph and the civic would run out of rpms and we began to separate.

I pulled up to my local Harley-Davidson dealer last weekend on my 2016 FXDLS, and as I got off and removed my helmet... A older lady in her 50s pulled up next to me on a GROM and as she tried stopping on the angled driveway she fell right over and I went to help, she said "OMG I'm so embarrassed, I can pick it up!" she couldn't, I had to pick it up for her, then she started dissing her husband for buying her a bike and making her learn. 😂
