Man more people need to see this, not just because it was better than any tv 4wd show I've seen, but also to just get an understanding of the devastation of the fires. I've never been 4wding so I've never seen any of those beautiful places, or seen the impact up so close, you captured it really well I thought. I live a bit north of there, was lucky to not see any direct threat but I have pictures of my deck at my back door covered in ash, half burnt bits of leaves and debris, and what I can only describe as large chuncks of burnt tree, well they were large considering they fell from the sky lol, so it was pretty close to us for a few days. Anyway, my point is supposed to be about how all this time later, there are still areas that are as bare today as the day after the fire, mother nature hasn't started to reclaim or even produce the first new sprouts in some areas. In the past I've driven through areas after a fire and been really shocked by the amount of damage, but next time you drive through I've always been amazed at how quickly everything is coming back to life, within weeks it feels like, there is green everywhere. But I don't know man, it feels different this time, to me it does anywa, or maybe this is just the first time I'VE seen the worst of it. But some areas, like you showed, feel more to me like the aftermath of a nuclear explosion, like the earth has been scorched so badly that life won't return for a very long time, and all that is left is an eerie silence, kinda like a cemetery. OMG... It's Mother Nature's Cemetery.... 🤔🤔

Looks like you need to go to a ln106 gear driven transfer case and then put some reduction gears

A much cheaper option to a SAS is to convert from torsion bars to coilover like the later models, there's a few conversion kits around. Also, have you considered reduction gears in your transfer case? (pretty sure they still ran gears, and not a chain) would make a big difference in the control you have with that engine.

I started with solid axle hiluxs then solid axle 4 runner, then 80 series now with v8 twinlocked etc but a stock 80 will outdrive most twinlocked ifs or leaf sprung trucks, suspension just flexes better. Get Ben to sort some sliders and a rear bar for his before major panel damage
