Professional. Excellent. This is the proper way to organize and live on board a working ship. Unlike the American fishing fleet which have their crews live in broken down ships and terrible living conditions while expecting their crews to perform their best . This ship should be one of the models as to how things should be as we move forward to the future and with our better understanding of safety and the environment around us. Thank you for sharing. Worked on a few north wales trawlers ......when they were going. ....loved it yes its dann hard work .....we made money then .....its all gone now .....plus its a young man's game ... I miss it 😢
Heróis do mar.
I am interested and hope to join as a fishing fisherman because it corresponds to my work experience as an international fisherman for more than 10 years. Longline boat or net boat. can you help me get the job thank you...
I was a Fish Monger in my Teens and would process 3000 pounds of Pike and White Fish from Canada every Saturday by myself. Minimum Wage then was 50 cents an hour but my Boss paid me $3.00 and hour so it was worth it. He also bought new Jeans and Rubber Suits once a month...
Obrigada.
Why? It is species-specific and doesn't have bycatch such as marine mammals, sharks, etc as would be the case with using nets. If it is a well-managed sustainable resource, why would you ban it?
I had a gill net boat, and during the off season, some boats went long lining, I did not want to make so many changes to the boat to do that, so pulled it out of the water.
@@PisonKing I was going to modify the boat from bow hauler to drum net roller, but I was offered a huge price for the boat so sold it. The buyer moved the hauler to the side, which would be easy to convert to a line hauler, but that meant he needed someone running the boat, where the bow hauler in calm conditions moved the boat. More recently, I had a small crab boat, 150 traps, that was half a days work, and fun, calm shallow water.
