My homie died after battling cancer for 2 and a half years on 02/22/22 at 22 years old. He was smiling and having faith in god through it all and fought hard. He passed away in his sleep after it all. I seen him 12 hours before he went and talked to him for hours while he was asleep. When I drove I listened to 95 til infinity bc it was one of his favorite songs and then this song came up after and I had never heard it before. The lyrics made me cry hella bc it was like he was talking to me through them. I’ll never forget my best friend and our nights playing ball and hanging out together. Forever missed Johnny🕊🙏🏼

Yo I met Joey playing Age of Empires 2 back in 2013, I didn't know him at the time but he told me about his music and i was a fan ever since.. Crazy to think he was in such a rough place at the time.

In 2012 I was 17 in my senior year of HS when Joey & Pro Era dropped.. it was so cool to see rappers that were the same age as me make it on to the world stage. Steez and JB were just different and everyone in my generation knew that. As I’m 6 months into being 27, it’s cool to say I’ve been a fan of Joey since we were teens and now into our adult lives. I recently got into Joey BadA$$ and the Pro.Era collective. I heard a couple of songs from Steez and he was a powerful rapper with a gold flow and wordplay. I foundout 4 days ago that Steez died I was like Damn man that sucks. And than I hear this song and it kinda hiys me as Joey Really do miss his best friend or brother, this song kinda gave me chills as it kinda reminded me of the time spent with my grandma before she pass. She gave me hope to make something of myself like Steez did for Joey so I respect Steez for that and Joey for honoring his beloved friend with this powerful song
