Seeing Kendrick body this shit just makes me emotional man. It’s all he wanted. Mans saw California Love being made. Came from them times. Worked his ass off. Bless. Love you Kendrick and AB. #blackhippy
I know for a fact, I could hang out with most people in this thread. Like minded people who feel life on a different level. This kinda music hits harder than ever in today's climate.
Kendrick Lamar fought for his place in the world. He became exactly what he wanted to to become. This is inspiring..one of one in a few decades. This guy is a gift..
@@pasekamlotshwa2540 yes ab soul was the first person to call himself the goat. do even listen to rap bro. it must be one of the most used sentence in the rapgame
@@Mop_Deep It wasn't really an era just a minor shot in the arm for rap only because of TDE and Kendrick , even he fell off after GKMC If we're being honest. Outside of one or 2 great albums every now and then Hip Hops long been dead since the late 90s or early 2000s at best.
The year was 2010, I was on cloud 13 accompanied by marie jane and psylocibin chillin with some homies when this dude showed up, he wanted to buy some, we invited him to blaze one up with us, then he asked if we're into hip hop and if he can put on a song that we might like, I'll never forget that day, he put on this gem and I felt like I was falling in love with hip hop all over again, ever since that day I've been on TDE and studied all their tapes. Thank you dude who's name I forgot who just wanted to buy some weed, mvp.
Ha, always the random stuff we end up being grateful for. Weed dude got faded and you got laid. Not jus laid but a life changing lay..let's jus say you got blessed there homeboy🎼🎶🎵🔥💯
Who else listening to this after hearing Kendrick’s new album. Just reminiscing on the days where him and the whole tde crew were still on the come up. Great times 🔥 wish we got more Kendrick and soul collabs

I took this era of music for granted in high school. Glad to say I experienced one of the best periods of time in hip hop live but it really took all this time and looking back on it to see how good these guys were from the start.
Long term and Long Term 2 were absolutely incredible mixtapes. They had the bars and wordplay, the concepts, the passion, the structure and the sonic resonance of some of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.
I remember when this came out.. It was on repeat and i still bang this. YOU KNOW YOU LISTENED TO GOOD MUSIC WHEN YOU GET THE GOOSEBUMPS! this song was the equivalent of therapy for me.
To everyone out here feeling like life is a huge misfortune remember there's no testimony without a test...TDE thanks for being my friends I can dial up on the TUBE when I wanna change my mood from sad to happy... Timeless piece, too clean ,too spiritual and too therapeutic..I visit this song on a daily for psychological healing I'm a broken soul with so much hope ..
LYRICS Yeah, come come now Soul brother number two, I'm the one now Sun up to sun down, still kickin' that shit Put your gun down I come in peace like a extraterrestrial being Eat me a meteor and walk across the moon barefeet But don't nobody rhyme like this no more Call me the 2010 Rakim I got soul, there's more in store Feel like a CVS, open 24 Spent nights tryin' to overshadow my shadow For niggas tryin' to block my light like a solar eclipse I bring a knife to a fist fight and when I cut a record So when I cut the cheese, shit you know what it is Mr. Absoulutely the most incredible at this So adjust your bass, your treble and then [Hook:] Yo, turn me up some Yo, turn me up some Yo, turn me up some Turn me up some, turn me up some [x2] Finna break this blunt down and burn me up one Then sip on this Remy 'til it turn me up some For me it's more difficult to be simple than it is to be complex As a lot of apartments You niggas comedy, I'm laughing at you probably We are not the same, there's no strand of monotony Between you and I until we die Revelations say you either fry or fly And it's hard to find God when you ain't never seen Him It's pie in the sky and there's bodies on the cement And I know you lookin' at me like, "You don't speak English" I bring the heat like a phoenix, a son under Phoenix sun And I'm rootin' for the Lakers when they play the Phoenix Suns I ain't really into sports, that's just where I'm from Long Term Two And if it's in your possession then follow the directions my dude [Hook] [Kendrick Lamar:] Come come now Pac told me fuck the world, I'm 'bout to cum now I've been a pro, but now I'm profound Propane on posers, restraining from the doja Imagine if I smoke, I probably come up with a quote So heavy you'll forget every album you heard from Hova Or 2pacalypse I'm Hub City's novelist Come and get your scholarship, I'm taking kids to school A pool full of spit, dive in, I'm 'bout to drool You'll drown trynna backstroke on concepts that I wrote I was a black sheep, but now I'm just a goat And I'm 'bout to elope, married to the game joe This is hip hop at its finest, where'd you find this? In a Ziploc Til the wheels fall off, fuck a pit-stop or what not Where my tear drop? I murdered it My pot-holes is turbulence I'm in the sky wit it When you listening to Kendrick, just [Hook] This for my niggas that really rap all night No sleep, do it with your eyes closed I can see your vision from Del-Amo Poppa took the television, but left the radio Ill niggas, wack niggas, what's the ratio? Is this shit degrading or inspirational? I'll have you know I must've wrote about a thousand rhymes, a thousand times I give you my word [Kendrick Lamar:] Cause I just gotta be heard I just gotta be heard I just gotta be heard Said I gotta be, yes sir I gotta be Heard, heard, heard, heard [Hook]
Such a classic ! I’m so proud that I gravited towards this kind of music as such a young kid. I remember rocking this freshman year of highschool. Where has time gone ? It’s been 12 years ? Wow ..
Genuinely one of the best hip-hop songs ever made. The vibe and energy this gives is unreal. 2014 I found this song and listened to it in the pool at the house I shared with my Uni mates after work for an entire summer and haven’t stopped since
Listened to an old Kendrick song and an old photo of him reminded me of him in his blue t-shirt - couldn’t remember the song that paired with the video. Dope song that I’ve not heard in a while.
I miss music like this. And also seeing music videos like this, where you could just bring your skills and didn’t have to have this materialistic image with chains and showing a bunch of money and groupies. Shit is just so fake now. This music/music video makes me so happy but sad at the same time because we will never go back to a time like this. Will forever be grateful for this music ❤❤❤
This song is for the soundtrack of life bruh can't explain it any other way but they tapped in with higher ideas and morphed this beautiful song if i were to show an old head a song from my generation its this onw
