Oi, I at first wanted to get the PS2 version since my cousin had that one before, but after hearing that bit of trivia, I’ll just get the Xbox version instead.
This really was a direct successor to the PSX Spider-man games. From the electro-industrial intro track, to Spidey web swinging the air. Heck, he even needs to collect web canisters even though he didn’t need them in the movie. It wasn’t until Spider-man 2 that they moved away from that.
Memories!!! I loved that first level soundtrack brings back memories playing this as a kid in the early 2000s 😎 great game and i will always remember how much fun i had with this game!
To go from N64 to this was the greatest transition ever. 64 was awesome but this was a needed upgrade to a super hero game. Stories amazing, graphics were great for its time, costume design looked cool, they executed on introducing the villains. Overall amazing game thats created good times.
This game was so lit. I loved how wearing the Alex Ross costume gave Goblin his Alex Ross costume from the film's concept art, in my mind; it was a better Goblin costume.
Well the original costom wasn’t what was planned for the movie.. but it wasn’t popular with dafoe and tbeh got rid of it. It’s cool but him turning into the goblin in a literal sense is gay. The route they took was better
I never played this Spider-Man game but i played Spider-Man 2 on the PS2 longtime ago. That was nice. Bruce Campbell made the tutorial voice ? Groovy !

I remember getting this game from GameStop for my PS2 back then and I could never get past the Breaking And Entering level, it was just way too damn hard
I grew up on the PS2 version, but I remember loving this game for using The Shocker's comic accurate costume and him actually being formidable instead of a joke like in the comics and man when Scorpion shows up its a creepy fight. This game was the beginning that 2, Ultimate, Web of Shadows, Shattered Dimensions and 2018 have built upon and improved as time went along, but for me as a kid this was a surreal experience and as an adult I look back and I appreciate. Plus Bruce Campbell lol.
I played this game in French but it was so much fun. I finished it like a billion times but I never stopped playing. However now that I have a new room, smaller than my old one, I don't have a TV anymore so I am sad and that's why I am watching this.

I can’t be the only one who, during the photo level, spent most of my time just swinging around the city. I was so happy when Spider-Man 2 came out and I could do that all the time lol.
If you ask me, the two Kraven levels should've took place between "Scorpion's Rampage" and "Coup D'Etat". It's senseless for Kraven to suddenly show up while Spider-Man's in the middle of chasing Green Goblin.
There should've been a ps4 version of this game with the same suit, characters and levels just a better graphic. You know how good the Sam raimi suit looks in the Marvel Spider-Man game.

I also love the cheat code in the beta version of this game where you can change into mary jane, but it was removed in the final release due to the scene after you fight the green goblin xD In case anyone is wondering, if you typed in girlnextdoor, you changed onto MJ haha
Sorry, but no. These are great games in their own right, but Insomniac’s Spider-Man games are pure perfection. Wish we’d get a remaster of Ultimate Spider-Man though, that’d be awesome.
That Shocker intro level with Grand Central station was always my favorite. I was actualyl able to beat the game and i replayed it over and over as a kid. Loved saving that 1 guy on his phone 🤣 Goblin fight at the end was actually conematoc asf for me when i was younger.
It was rly good spiderman game. Most likely the best from all movie based. I liked that. Goblin gameplay pure gold. I didnt believe my friend when he told me thats possible.
I played this game when I was 13 years old together with my sister which was 11. I rented this game for 2 Days and I also finished it. Man I was amazed from the graphics on my Xbox and the gameplay was so fun.

So let me get a straight. This Spider-Man game was loosely based on a same movie in which Sony owns the right to make and released this one on the PS2, a Sony video game console. But not only this game was released on a different console like the NINTENDO GameCube but also on the MICROSOFT Xbox which the latter was the only one with the two levels where you fight Kraven The Hunter exclusively. I used to believe that Sony should've been the one with the two levels since.... they owned the right of the Spider-Man movie so they should've have more levels than GameCube and Xbox but looking at it and realized that one of the non-Sony consoles have more levels surprised me.
One of my favorite gamecube games and favorite movie I just picked up spider man 2 on Saturday for gamecube and to be honest with you love the game but I will pick up the first game keep the great work I enjoy your amazing 👏 content
It'd be nice if there was a cheat or hack where all enemies and bosses ignored Spider-man (you) and would never attack you. For an example: The super soldier robots from the stealth levels would ignore you and not attack you, even if you're right in front of their faces touching them.
the second game is so much better in my opinion. I remember renting this at blockbuster back in the day on Gamecube. Less than a year later I played Spiderman 2 on PSP which knocked my socks off compared to this.
I remember when i played this game, i got stuck when i was going to shocker's first mission because after i did the mission before the shocker's mission my screen went black forever
Hey Each of you Knowticed in Chemical Chaos Dr Lam Tower that doctor that speaks with Spider-man about the Chemical weapons at the beginning, even speaks with him on radio happens to say this when Spider-man activates the first two control room also goes to the Central Chamber starts the first Injection process Spider-man asks Hey doc there are two control terminals here which one do I use? Dr Lam Tower says I'm ugh not sure. Look around maybe there's something near the terminal that will help. But at 1:37:43 Dr Em Tower does not say that, When Spider-man activates the first two control rooms, and enters the central chamber to start the injection Decontamination process he Asks Hey Doc there are two control terminals here which one do I use? But Em Tower does not say that he says this rare dialogue Look for information on the terminals you should be able to match it to the control rooms you used. Heard that before in my Consoles, But now I don't. NEED TO KNOW How to get that dialogue
