I am having difficulty understanding the Aim Short and Aim Long as well as the wind hold overs marks. It is a very labour intensive way of doing it. Those seconds of film took me 5 hrs to capture as I found it very difficult to get a full and crisp picture. Snipershide and Frank Galli put me on to it.

Not sure, need to see it. If so, just reset and everything should line up fine. Hope you'll like it, MR4 is well designed. They included the inverted MRAD scale which to me have been the biggest improvement for competition - you shave off a few seconds when measuring/ shooting UK.

I personally would have chosen any 6,5mm in plenty supply locally. With the US market discovering the 6,5mm, there's so many modern bullets coming out that further enhance the performance of this very good calibre group. For roe, small deer and foxes it is super, with boar I have no experience but I would not hesitate to shoot at one with a 6,5 allthough I would probably prefer something bigger for a dedicated boar rifle.

6,5 Creedmoor = 6,5x55 = 6,5x47 in three different packages with three different names. I would be happy with all of them and I doubt you can tell any difference on the game. Choose whichever is cheapest/ most available at your location. We shoot a lot of moose with 6,5x55 in Norway and Sweden, it works on those very big animals.

@@filipbusse3379 Sorry for hijacking this post. My first rifle purchase was a howa 1500 in 308, good rifle but i was never fully satisfied with the caliber, something about it just didn't feel right to me. I then went and bought a Blaser in 6.5x55 and I have loved almost every moment with it! Granted, Howa is like a Fiat while the Blaser is a Ferrari but i find the 6.5x55 to be much more pleasureable to shoot. When I was choosing the caliber I just knew I was going for a 6.5x?? caliber and the guy at the store described it like this to me: "6.5x55 is very good, accurate and you can take down pretty much anything with it. 6.5x47 is also good and the creedmoor is just a fancy name for the 6.5x47, they are pretty much the same". I chose the 6.5x55 simply because of the availability and because it has been used for so long so there is plenty of reload data. I'd probably pick it again if I was shopping now, with 6.5x47 as 2nd place and creedmoor as 3rd. I'll give the creedmoor a few more years in the market simply to see if it's a bubble that will burst and there will be hard to get ammo for it. What ever you chose or are going to choose, just make sure to practice and one day you might become as good as Thomas xD

No worries, it is I who haven't properly explained it in a single episode. Forgetting that things are not obvious is a pitfall for me. The reticle is used together with the turret in order to shoot into the area you want to survey. The setup process simplifies the range estimation to such a degree that you only need "system 1 thinking", meaning you will not need to access ballistic in order to hit. Episode 260 shows details of the turret, episode 261 shows the various tools for supporting range estimation. Episode 285 and 286 shows this used in competitions.

Not sure Nikolai, this reticle has an illuminated 12mm center dot. I tried 9mm in the first version, but found that to be a little too fine. With 12mm I have less than 1/2 bullet diameter each way and can still aim very precisely.

No I don't think I've made that. It is only the center dot that is illuminated.

Ari Välimäki Episode 261 shows range estimate with thus reticle. Minox is high end, I hung on to my S&B for two years before deciding it is same-same. Basically S&B, Kahles and Minox are well above the "good enough" threshold high end. This reticle is designed for those doing hunting and lr competitions with the same scope. Beware: I am the reticle designer so it is impossible for me to stay entirely neutral.

I'll capture some film later. yes, I've never understood the massive illumination in some reticles. When it gets dark, range is restricted anyway and you only need a good aiming point.

Filip Busse The Kahles and MRAD is fine, but the MSR would be my prefered choice over SKMR3.

THLR.NO ok How about the choice between Vortex and Kahles? I'm considering K624i and. Razor HD II with EBR-2c reticle ( the magnification range is 4,5-27x56

Filip Busse No idea, both should work. Why not include the new Kahles 5-25x if those are your choices?

I think I will include new Kahles as well. Vortex was one option because of the good reputation and better price range than Kahles.

I believe Nordskog Våpen is the importer in Norway, but Astrosweden (in Sweden) also sells Minox. Not sure who sells scopes in detail, Vertebrae at least. PVAS most likely.

Reports I've had from users on the Delta Stryker is that it is a little frustrating to use as it lacks the optical qualities to properly use the MRAD reticle for range estimate (difficult to get a proper read-off).

Ooooh, will have to look. The Spuhr mount plus Blaser/ Contessa picatinny is a very meavy mounting solution, but it is what I had on hand. If I where to buy again, I would choose something different with less weight.

I am in a similar position, I have a Blaser coming for stalking and the only scope I currently have is a Kahles 624i in a spuhr SP4002 38mm height. My cheapest option would be to get the Contessa pic like you have done but I fear it would be an extremely high & heavy combination. Looking at your video I would say your spuhr is the 34mm version which would leave my setup even higher than yours. But the Blaser mount at €450 is not cheap. Great video by the way and best of luck with the new reticle.

It does. I have just too much play in my surface. It is completely eliminated when I put the vise on the concrete floor, but then I cannot film through the Scope. And if you are refering to the sideways movement when clicking 2.6 mrad, the two red dots are not aligned vertically - to much wind for me to fix it plumb.
