Loni Reveals the One Thing She Wishes People Knew: ‘I Respect Black People Too Much to Do That’

I’m with Garcelle. I find that when you’re perceived as a strong and confident person people are surprised when you get emotional and instead of being comforted or having a listening ear they often express confusion about your sensitivity. The conversation then veers into you having to explain that you also have feelings and are not always nonchalant which takes away from your vulnerability.

I’m not even embarrassed to say, that I just got that point recently. I stopped judging my people, black people so much. We’ve been through a lot. Our ancestors who were spit on, beaten, lynched and otherwise trampled on, are turning over in their graves at the way we treat each other. It’s shameful how we’ve taken the baton and spat on it, and each other.

Whenever Loni cries, it hits a chord in my heart. I hope the world becomes a better place.

I get what Loni is saying. She learned to have a hard shell… so ppl think because of that they will be mean to her and it won’t matter. But Chilee words matter.

I love seeing Adrienne express how she doesn't care about the limelight and other people's opinions about her. Reminds me of how in the early seasons, the ladies tried to warn her that when she turned 30 she was going to care less about what other people think (cause she seemed to care a lot more then). She definitely doesn't have that issue now 😄, I love it.

The comment that Gracielle and Loni made was HUGE because most people think that black women are super strong and don’t have the same emotions other races have. I hear the typical statement like “black Women are strong and nothing affects them or they are always angry” but no one sees that black women have the same exact emotions that other women have! I wish more black women would talk about this because then other races would truly understand that black women can be vulnerable too and sometimes society forces us to be strong and loud and proud to cover the hurt! I’m tired of it

It's so refreshing hearing A say that. Not everyone in the limelight care to be in the limelight - it's work for a lot of people and it's hard to project your life infront of a bunch of strangers. It's really humbling and allows you to put your life into perspective.

This season of The Real has been a show that I look forward to every week. The camaraderie between the ladies is just so beautiful to watch. I've always been so moved by Loni's grace and how she doesn't let the disgusting name calling and immaturity of some of these people to get to her. She's stronger than I would ever be I'm so sensitive but seeing her handle those situations with maturity is so moving to me. Keep it up Loni, we're proud of you 🤍

Also this show brings me so much joy so even though Adrienne, you might be burnt out on the glitzy fake part of it, please know you all make me feel so seen and represented. I’m proud to see other women of color and their success, living full and beautiful lives. You all inspire me!!

I think the real fans of The Real genuinely care about all of the hosts. I know that I do. I look forward to each upload and video. I decided a very long time ago that I wouldn't use my words to demean, belittle, berate and devalue anyone. It's not always the easiest thing to do because there are people who can be difficult to say the least. But all of the ladies of The Real are appreciated, valued and respected by me. In no way do I feel like I'm the only one. Y'all have been on TV for so long for a reason. You are all talented, intelligent, creative and beautiful human beings. And I genuinely wish you all continued success.

If Adrienne would have said this back in the early seasons I don't think that I would have believed her but, lately I can absolutely see that she is happy with her family life and that the entertainment industry doesn't define her.

‘A’ can say that now she’s super successful, owning multiple homes ect and married to a multi Grammy winner… however before this show started her mind was definitely different!

I feel you Loni. It's crazy that people are so quick to to call you out your name over nonsense and it's usually YOUR people that do it the most and the quickest.

I understand how everyone feel, hell I feel them. For me I hate when people think I’m a secretive person when in reality I’m very private and shy. I don’t try to be and I swear I try to change that but it’s hard. I just don’t want people to manipulate my happiness or being too in my bubble…idk I like my space and I enjoy talking to people but I do like to keep things to myself. It just hurt me when people think that I’m secretive and make me a out to be a negative person when I’m really not 😢

I disagree with Loni on a lot of thoughts, but I agree with her about not calling people out their name. You can have a difference of opinion without being truly disrespectful to another human being. It's uncalled for and absolutely unnecessary.

I truly believe that what Adrienne is saying is in response to what's been said about her in the comment sections, regarding observations of her tendency to be bias in situations that involve more "famous" people vs lesser known names. If you weren't saying things like, "I don't know who he is!", then this whole, "I don't really care..." rant would be more believable. Don't be up in your feelings now, it's exactly what you do. If you don't like the callout, change the behavior.

I'm with Loni. I used to post videos on my youtube channel and usually when people say rude things about me i can swallow the pill but for some reason when people cyberbullied me and called me names for once it bothered me. I dont know what came over me maybe I'm just human but it really bothered me. I killed them with kindness every time I responded cause name calling them back is stooping down to their level and it makes the problem bigger and bigger much like what Loni said. I since then took my videos down and I probably will never return to it😅💔
