The brief of this project was to transform the existing property into an energy-efficient home while recycling as much material. Preserving existing structures and fittings was also a top priority.
This home is now drenched in light, warm in winter, and cool in summer. A home that echoed the clients’ green principles and beliefs.
Insulation was a key requirement throughout the build, double brick walls, double glazed windows, & solar panels to create a green home as possible within the parameters of the client’s budget. The gas supply was removed and changed over to 100% green energy. The clients retained their existing kitchen to minimize landfill impact and added additional joinery where required. The environment approach was very considered, so much so the clients retained items that could easily have been replaced with new ones.
