Hi Toni, I bet by the end of the summer you won’t be afraid of the noises in your garden, my advice would be to sit quietly for a while and get used to all the sights and sounds that nature has to offer in your garden. It’s so relaxing to be surrounded by nature, and the changes in your shrubs and flowers will be beautiful x take care xxx

I would suggest getting a little chair on your patio, near an open door so you can bolt in if necessary, and just sitting in silence watching and listening to your garden and the strange noises and nature goings on. Hopefully you will get used to the sounds of the garden like this. Good luck lovey,it's going to look lovely this summer xx

Hi Toni, I'm new to your channel, loving it and I purchased your spring wax melts, they're soooo lovely!! I'm also new to the love of gardening haha, can't stop buying flowers! What I love though is when they start coming back the following year! I'm not scared in the garden, but would say the creatures your scared of are more scared of us humans 😂😂 the more you go out and get distracted with your new love of gardening the easier it will get 🎉🎉

Toni you will love your garden Just be brave .. go to B&Q and get a massive bag of compost you will have it to pot up all your pots. It works out cheaper. Get a friend or gardener to trim down your over grown shrubs so you can see what you have got in there. I wish I lived near I would take so much joy helping you and teaching you all about shrubs. Enjoy x

Garden plants are lovely Toni, you must have acidic soil as this is what hydrangeas, rhododendrons and camellias grow best in. I have six pink hydrangeas in pots but when they eventually get put in my borders they will turn blue with acid soil. I have cherry trees, camellias and a massive purple rhododendron bush in my garden. You can get miracle grow feed especially for those plants. Good tip for your pots is put stones or broken crockery in bottom of the pot for drainage. I love pottering in the garden so relaxing. Yes that looks like a rose bush 😊 x

Hi Toni, I hope you don’t mind me saying you need to put some stones in the bottom of your pots for drainage and you could put a little bonemeal or blood fish and none to slowly feed your plants and before you drop the plant into the hole carefully tease out the roots just a little to help them spread into the compost and when you water go under the blooms onto the compost, I can’t wait to see how it will look when you do it all , one other thing I’d get stands to put your pots on otherwise you will get wood lice under them. Happy gardening 😊xx

Hi Toni It’s always good to check what you already have in your garden and trim back anything that is maybe stopping the light or growth getting to that particular bush, plant or whatever it may be. Good to see you gave the pot plenty of water. Looking forward to seeing the transformation of the garden especially in full bloom. Thank you for sharing ❤

Hi Toni, not sure if anyone else has given you this advice, but you to avoid watering your plants and flowers from the top. Direct your hose to the base of the plants and avoid the leaves and petals x

Hi Toni, what a great tip about putting the plant pot in the planter first, it really center's the plant. You should buy a pair of garden gloves. The hydrangea is a beautiful colour, have to get one. You never showed us your clothes line! Enjoy your beautiful garden, it will change your life❤

I was a novice gardener 30 years ago but I had a friend at work who was a passionate gardener so she gave me lots of advise and cuttings and look in your neighbours gardens because what grows I their gardens will grow in yours and they may even give you some of their plants as now is a good time to divide them. I made a few mistakes but really enjoy being in the garden and I am sure 12 months down the line you will have learned so much .

Best plants for yearly pots are Alstroemerias- they come in lots of colours and just flower from May till October. They die down over winter and pop back up in spring. I’ve had them for years on my sunny patio. Also Hardy Geraniums are amazing and so easy ❤

Great that you are getting enjoyment out of your garden. Is there any way you can raise your camera up so we can see the garden properly. It is like constantly looking at someone's feet. I would never buy any food subscription service meals but your review was the best one of all the channels currently promoting it and you actually ate what you made, never seen that before. You did a good presentation, hope your boys enjoyed it too.

Your doing great with your new garden Toni. If your wanting plants to come back year after year, then you need to be looking out for perennials, that is the type of plants that do that. But basically if you like it, it's your garden, if you've got room buy it and plant it. But be careful, because you will run out of space, sooner than you expect. So happy planting, and the noise thing, face your fear, you know you can do it. Let's be frank, you know that there is nothing lurking behind that tiny garden wall that seriously could do you harm. So don't put the headphones on, and just go for it, I'll go with you so your not on your own okay. Loved watching as always, and nice seeing fur baby, hope she was good for you.

You have a lovely garden and you're transforming it. I'm the same at the moment and I don't know if it's because I'm 44 but I'm just loving seeing colour in the garden and bringing it to life as it adds to making a home look homely. Embrace the wildlife they won't hurt u they are more scarey of u than you are of them remember, don't wear your ear phones all the time just get used to the little noises and they will become the norm xx

Always use Ericaceous compost for Hydrangeas. Some plants are referred to as ericaceous or lime haters. This means that they find it difficult to grow in non acidic alkaline soil that has a PH value above 6. They find it difficult to take up nutrients and eventually the leaves will turn yellow and often they can die. 🌺🌸

Hi Toni, Peonies, Daphne, Anemones, Hibiscus, all lovely hardy Annual plants that come every year. Acer plants are lovely you can get in all different colours. What i do on some of the big bushes is cut all the lower branches off so you see underneath, give it a good rake and clear out then I put small pots all around there so animals cant get in there. Yes you do need to put stones in the bottom as well for drainage ❤

Hi Toni, gardening is good for your heart and soul... I started about 4 years ago. It's helped my mental health and traumatising grief of losing my son 😢💔 With big pots, I put stones, bricks, broken roof tiles, then recycle cardboard boxes, plus tree cuttings, twigs, anything really 🌲❤️ My garden is full of pots as I don't like borders. The thought of climbing thru large shrubs to cut back and potentionally come out with earwigs, beetles, crawlies 😬 Hope we get some good weather and able to get outside and Enjoy our gardening. I'm on the Wirral and waiting impatiently for Spring 😊 Take care ❤

Aw bless you being so nervous of the noises out there - I wouldn't wear headphones so you can get used to the sounds which more often than not will just be birds in the trees and bushes. We have lots of wildlife behind us and as soon as I go out to feed everything they all disappear so anything you have out there will be more scared of you than you are of it 🙂 How fantastic to have 4 magnolias - they will be beautiful when in flower so please show us and the hydrangea is a fabulous colour!

Hi Toni, this is my first time commenting on your lovely homely channel. When you are potting plants makes sure you put small stones at the bottom of the pot for drainage if the stones aren’t there you’ll lose your compost over time. Also when buying compost which is expensive if you have to buy loads of it go to Lidl their compost is really good & very cheap. Also Lidl do fantastic plants all of which I’ve by some miracle kept alive over the last few years. Plants again are expensive and Lidl do a great variety of great plants at an very affordable price. Not advertising Lidl by the way I’m just a small garden owner learning like yourself and I’ve been ripped off by garden centres for rubbish plants and expensive compost why buy expensive plants and compost when Lidl do the exact same on a cheaper price. Your home is beautiful.. I love watching your channel. I haven’t bought the wax melts yet tho but I will in time.

Just a tip Toni, you're supposed to put some stones or pebbles in the bottom of your tubs for proper drainage before the dirt goes in, helps stop your compost washing out the bottom when it drains, I never thought in a million years you'd be scared to go outside, hopefully you'll overcome it, xxx
