Part 2 of our new Yamaha R1 track bike build for Trade Watches UK.
In this video we carry on stripping the standard parts we won't be using off the bike including removing the ABS brake lines, standard brake calipers and master cylinder and discuss some of the features of the bike and the mods we are doing.
We also unbox and discuss all the new trick parts we will be fitting!

I have just purchased R1 2015 as my upgrade track bike from GSXR 600. It already has some nice kit on, but since it is my dream bike, I will do similar stuff to her as you do.

Hi Sam, just wondering what will be done to the el.plugs for the vacuum hoses components around the air duct? Are you disabling that in the ECU? I’m working on my 2024 R1-getting it ready for track. Can’t wait I really like what you do! Keep it up

Thanks, If I remember right the solenoid for the air duct valve doesn't actually throw a fault when you disconnect it but if it did then yes we have turned it off as part of the ECU flash 👍

Hi Sam I got my new ECU ( old one was lost by UPS) and bike starts up but my oil pressure light is on and I can’t enter the settings menu at all Do you know what could cause that? Thanks Are you getting another R1(2024) as a track build? That would be awesome!
