Shout out to all the copper wire , aluminum, small motor scrapers. My family loves doing that. My uncle one time filled a shopping kart with copper wire in the sheath and set it on fire underneath the freeway. He was in a rush. Straight Tyrone biggums status.

Absolutely cool video. Super impressed with your scrapping venture. I go scrapping on a bike, yes a bicycle. And, I think you'd be v. surprised at the quantities of copper cable that I accumulate. I strip the plugs as well and here in Ireland the plug pins are the really big chunky ones, so more value there. And yeah, seriously impressed with your scrapping venture there. Liked and subbed.

Very nice. Safe to say, even with the current lower price of #1 bright copper, that hoard will easily pay for the wire stripper. (I know 2 years ago I paid $280CAD for mine.) And in only 10 days. Very impressive. Hopefully your wire supply continues. Keep up the great videos!

great job guys on that 👍👍👍 those plater in your pile looks like a silver-plated thing and one more thing from me if you are working on small gages of cables you could move handle on the pulley closer to the center thanks to that you will not need to make so big circles with your hand that will be easier i think and it will take only a few minutes to make one hole in pulley and cut thread anyway you decide your self if you wanna do that or not have a great one guys👍👍👍

Thumbs up for you guys! :-) I am in that business, as in pro, i work in a fairly big scrapyard, in Scandinavia, and i strip copperwire every day, just in a bigger scale, the wire you are stripping, when it is absolutely clean,, looks like yours is,,! is called: Millberry copper, the best price copper, clean copper, that the manufactures, can put straight into their furnace, punk them for the price, for this is scrapyardgold! And you should be able to put a motor to that wirestripper..;-)

Awesome! I find copper when metal detecting. Recycling center here in Texas pays $2.00 a lb. I hope the price of copper goes higher.

Another fun metal hobby I found was coin roll hunting. Kinda lame now in Canada but still great fun especially if you have young ones. I ask at banks for customer rolled nickels, and look through them for the pre 1982 nickels. In the past 3 years I have gotten a over 300$ in 99.9%nickels. I also ask for pennies which the odd time they have, even this many years after the stopped producing them. I've gotten about 100 pounds in pre1997 pennies in the last year. Again, kinda lame but it's fun and something with Intrinsic value to pass to the little ones. Because of the Canadian mints alloy recovery program we are a few years away from never being able to see a pre 2000 coin In Our change. They have the banks send in their coins, they send them through a machine which sorts the metal content, they replace any metals with steel coins, melt the metals and sell them. Will it ever be super worth it for us as Canadians? Probrobly not but maybe during economic crisis a roll of nickels could buy some food :). Live for today but plan for tomorrow! Great vids!

Put 1 end of your wire strand in a vice and the other end in your drill head, tighten down and hit reverse with a slight pull....it unravels much faster!

Consider going around to your local construction, electrical and heating/cooling companies, introducing yourselves and asking permission to recycle their scrap metals and wire/sheathing from their renovation jobs. You may get constant and steady sources of metal... Love You All.

I’ve been collecting Copper since 1990 I would estimate I have approximately 2000 pounds I’m gonna start melting it down into square blocks I plan on retiring in about two years so I’m now watching the prices

Take the handle off the stripper and put a battery drill on on low speed unless you like the work out copper is gold nice video guys

Good for you two. Great job. Its like money in the bank. A couple of tips. 1) Take the handle off your stripper and attach a cheap drill to it then you do not have to crank the handle and you will have two hands to feed the wire. Use a zip tie to pull the drill trigger. 2) Buy some good wire cutters. They will change your life for the better. Channel lock Cable Cutting Pliers 9.5" are the ones I use every day.

something that has made scrapping easier is my crusher . It is a log splitter replace wedge with large ram the beam with square tube . It will smash aluminum and copper of almost any shape , into a 4x6x12 brick . A brick of aluminum cans is about 50 pounds .

Not bad at all....i save til like in between may and Aug u get the best price. I got about 45 lbs right now....by the time ill go should make some good money😎 keep it up guys.

It's amazing well done me and my work colleague almost had a ton of copper about 2 years ago but that was saving up for a year and stripping it by hand with a utility knife I I like how excited yous guys get we used to get excited but it's harder to find stuff two strap because everyone's doing it and you have to have a bank account UK doesn't do cash in hand there probably is one or two places but you have to have a bank account amazing video an amazing collection of copper have you ever thought about buying a devil Forge and casting some art. BX cutter works best. 2 turns of handle makes a slice in amour, turn 1/4 twist and slide it off. So no bent ends nice clean cut

I do this at work every day, but it is much easier ti cut the sheathing an the wire with wire stripping cutters or even tin snips.

GOOD TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS

Another great video guys. There are a few ways to clean those wires that have turned dark and or gotten burned. You can use vinegar and also one guy even cleaned his wire with ketchup, so maybe you can do an experiment and see if any of that works in order to make that bright and shiny again?

Be sure to tell your yard the burnt copper is not your doing, that you stripped it. A big yard I go to gives you the same price as insulated because it is illegal to burn he insulation off of wire, if they find burnt wire in the pile. If they know you didn't do it they should give you #2 price. Great videos you two, from a fellow Ontario scrapper.

Now you should melt it down into bars and sell them on Ebay for a premium! $$$ You can do the same with aluminum and increase the value by up to six times what you would get for the scrap aluminum cans.

people should be hoarding copper and not selling it at low prices and i am not talking holding it for a year get in it for the long run hold it for 5 or 6 years it is going to be the metal of the future and there will be a shortage.demand will surpass the supply.and copper will follow the path of gold and silver.remember gold and silver did not get to where they are over night.there have been two copper shortages and they didnt make copper bullion and have the increase in electric vehicles . if you do the research on how much copper goes into an electric vehicle and they want to go all electric vehicles including busses and semi trucks they need a massive amount of copper to accomplish this.people think copper bullion is to expensive what cost so much about it is it is harder to make copper bullion then it is to make silver or gold bullion.oil wasnt worth shit when they first discovered it.but when they found uses for it and then the automobile came along and was mass produced the price went up.if you have patience by sitting on copper down the road you will reap the rewards.they say copper is everywhere and people laugh at bullion but will there be enough to go around? i dont think so it is used in to many things.one thing to keep in mind before they started recycling copper a good percentage of it ended up in land fills cause people threw it away and didnt recycle it.you also need copper to make brass and bronze metals.
