These films show just how much this country changed 😮 And definitely not for the better ! 😢

Nice to see the Dame UK when she still was nice and tidy.

Amongst the appeal of vintage films like this for me, are: the background music (not rock or pop influenced), the quality of the film - which simplifies shadows, light and colour, the voice-over, the nostalgia element (I was 4), and more than anything, the visible actuality of recent history - rather than how it’s currently being re-written….

Great old films from better times. Jolly, jolly good show the narrator would say..

Please could someone quickly invent a time machine so we could go back to these much better and more simple days !

I drive past the "House that Moved" every day. Amazing to see it actually being moved.

60 years later, millions more vehicles on the roads & an outdated smaller rail network than in 1962!

Back then even construction workers would go to work in some kind of suit and a tie

Nice idea, but eventually the town centres have filled up again because more and more people had cars.
