@@BuzryHaproMandalorianHunter If RWBY doesn't cause ALL the feels there's something wrong. Therefore, I choose to celebrate that they manage to make us feel for fictional characters.
Jaune's reaction to Ozpin's lies makes sense because of Pyrrha's death. Oscar is innocent but he is only tangible thing connected to Ozpin. And knowledge that Salem is unkillable just shot a massive hole into Pyrrha's sacrifice in his eyes. It was emotional reaction but honestly understandable.
Idk why people always forget that Pyrrha didn’t die that long ago. It’s been like a year. People always want the rest of team JNPR to just get over Pyrrha’s death but Qrow’s been mourning Summer in the form of alcoholism and recklessness for like 15 years.
@@gh0xttherebel The leaf really was a symbol for Pyrrha. In Volume 3 when Pyrrha and Jaune were sitting and talking, a leaf was shown by itself, and then another leaf falling beside it as Jaune comforted her. Finally the leaf blowing away as Pyrrha sat back up. The show set up the fallen leaf as a symbol of Pyrrha, and you picked up on that and could feel the Pyrrha scene coming because of that.
Fun fact! Cordovin and the Colossus (the giant robot) were one of Monty's old ideas for the show! This plotline currently going on was an idea they had for Volume 2's finale instead of the Mountain Glenn plot, but was shelved and eventually reused here! Monty's idea was that Cordovin (who alludes to the old woman who lived in a shoe) would be seen in a giant boot, and then the camera would pan to show that the boot was actually part of a giant robot that they would have to fight. It's actually really cool how Volume 6 is basically a collection of unused and scrapped ideas that finally made their way into the show. For example, the Apathy were a concept that the writers had come up with pre-Volume 1 (and were originally supposed to be fought in V4 instead of the Nuckelavee), Maria was supposed to first debut in Volume 5, and the Adam fight currently happening was supposed to also happen during the Battle of Haven in the Volume 5 finale. Edit: Also, when you get to Volume 7, I would recommend waiting until after Chapter 3 to watch the opening for... reasons.
I wanna add on to this, but the beginning of the Adam v Yang fight was animation that monty had done for V3, but wasn't used. They recreated the animations for V6 afaik.
The song playing at the Pyrrha statue: the background music played each time Jaune and Pyrrha were together, ever since volume 1. The song is called Forever Fall, and it is an absolutely beautiful song, even if it does leave you in tears
- I will forever see Qrow's slump walk as "pigeon walking" now xD - The "Sasuke" bit really hits via the VA being the same xD - Unfortunately being restricted in looking up RWBY stuff probably is a good thing, since it spares you from having to deal with the negative side of things that are like roaches -.- - Love that the "symbol" for Arkos and maybe even Pyrrha is fall leaf (leaves when paired) - Forever Fall (the song during the statue convo) is an armor-piercing shot to the feels every time - Hearing Jen Brown will always be a feels hit (both for this series and Red vs Blue) - Love that Pyrrha has a statue to honor her cause she more than earned that - Again knew the statue scene was coming and was waiting for it cause its one of those reaction gold moments xD - There's 3 possibilities for "red-haired woman" in theories currently: a) Pyrrha's sister, b) Pyrrha's mom, c) ghost of Pyrrha; then the sub-bullet of Pyrrha's mom's ghost that passed when hearing of Pyrrha's death. - "Are we worried about breaking the law, when none of this shit really matters?" THANK YOU! Believe it or not there's some that actually villify RWBY & co for this plan. Ignoring Cordo's not budging in her position, Weiss's likely being locked away if going back by herself to Atlas, etc that made this plan the only option. - BB riding Bumblebee and looking so good doing so, love my OTP. Also I LOVE the entire BB scene after arriving outside the tower and Blake's adorable skip away w/ look back to Yang. The start of the return of Blake's true self (jokey, flirty, and comfortable) - I'd say the one that had no choice in growing up so fast was Yang, considering what she mentioned to Weiss back in v5 - Remember back in like 6x01/02 when the one person mentioned the caboose of the train being left open/unguarded; then Blake "hallucinated" Adam? Yeah, not a hallucination and he'd been following them ever since then waiting for her to be alone cause "stalker". Not to mention him grabbing her by the throat like he does reminding everyone that he's an abuser on top of that.
@@gh0xttherebel I'm just going to say: oh just wait there's more xD (Mostly cause him being there isn't a spoiler anymore, though not going to say more than that xD) Yup, CRWBY looooooooooves going for the heart and they fully know that Pyrrha is a way to do it xD They legit are and I love their whole series long arc with both its angst and adorable mix xD Yup, can't wait for the reaction especially a particular part that could hit the feels; especially with context to it (that I'll save for the reaction vid to not risk spoiling or taking from the reaction with added info)
So you know how I mentioned you missed something during chapter 1? I was referring to how Blake's "flashback" of adam was completely different compared to Yang's in chapter 6; he had his white fang mask on and such along with the old outfit when Yang saw him, but when Blake did he had his blindfold and current outfit. Did you also notice how Dee and Dudly "left the caboose door wide open"? That was not them, that was Adam getting on the train.
One of my favorite theories is Oscar "borrowed" Qrow's wallet to buy his new clothes. Also Nora and Adrian are totally all for Jaune's plan in that scene.
Bro, when you got to the shot of Pyrrah's statue and hit pause, I cackle laughed... because I knew I'd be crying with you in a minute. Love your videos, they make my Fridays complete.
I will continue to declare Ruby as best girl, and next reaction will show why. The whole fandom basically can agree that the red-haired woman is Pyrrha’s mom. As for how she disappeared… Moments like Ruby’s speeches and the Pyrrha moment are what this show is all about. And the music makes it so much better! Always gets tears in my eyes. Bro, I love the RWBY aesthetic. Everyone and everything is unique in its style, and literally never a still frame. Also, why the chick with the green leg-sleeve at 21:13 so bad. Like, damn! Got me acting up.
23:13 Yeah there are some pretty spottable lead ins, the music helps. Nothing in RWBY comes out of nowhere, nearly everything is foreshadowed, if you know what to look for, and you're learning to pick up on those things
Ruby's eyes activating in the presence of Cinder can be explained by the fact that Cinder was already a human/grimm hybrid at that point. She took in some kind of bug-grimm before she stole some of Amber's power.
@@Icyyddoll I’ve seen many people say that that theory is one that CRWBY isn’t willing to entertain and has stated that it’s not ever going to happen multiple times. And I think everyone really needs to get over it. *Qrow is not Ruby’s father.* Just let him be an uncle that’s capable of bonding with his niece(s)
AHHHHHHH "Lost" is like EASILY one of my Top 5 RWBY episodes EVER. I know JNPR isn't the focus of the show (Obviously... Show's called RWBY after all), but that moment giving them the space to mourn Pyrrha and TALK to each other about it WAS SO BADLY NEEDED. Because yes, we saw Jaune and the training videos and yes, Ruby is the one who saw it happen, but Ren and Nora deserved that time too. They were a TEAM, and we KNOW that *Ren and Nora don't have any family other than this one that they've found together*, and. Yeah. In conclusion, I cried in public watching that on my phone at work when it first came out almost 3 years ago
Man these are some of my favorite RWBY reactions. I love your energy, your editing style and how while you certainly entertain you aren't solely focused on that and actually take in the show while watching. I binged all your reactions in like 2 or 3 sittings and I can't wait to see you react to the rest of the show! Keep being awesome!
Thank you so much! This journey it’s such a roller coaster and I’m here for every single bit of it! I am continuously surprised how I haven’t heard about the show when it first came out, but I am glad that I’m here! I’m having a blast
19:53 It's important to note that Tyrian states here: *_“Her Grace must act swiftly if we are to prevail. If General Ironwood comes to his senses and calls upon aid from Vacuo, ALL MAY BE LOST FOR US.”_* We see here that Salem, despite her thousands of years of time to try and win this war, is now finally pressed for time. Simply because of Cinder’s actions in V5, Salem’s plans were on the verge of collapse beyond repair; Salem very nearly almost lost permanently here, leading her to desperately change her plans and throw everything she had at Atlas in an attempt to save it all. This shows that Salem is not as invincible as she would have people believe; cannot afford to make huge mistakes or suffer any major setbacks, as one way or another, this war will end relatively soon, and Salem is desperate not to end up on the losing side. Because, as I’m sure that Cinder would *_love_* to teach Salem: there are fates far worse than death.
Well, lose permanently i don't think, but yeah, maybe she'd have to wait couple or so of other centuries before she can have another chance like the current.
Have you considered being a writer? Real talk, your "sixth sense" regarding storytelling is impressive -- you clue into archetypes and themes and tone shifts when the first hints of setup come into play, sometimes even before. I'd say you have the instinct, if nothing else. You understand storytelling on a very deep level, and that's a skill worth honing.
Thank you! The last time I wrote something was back in high school and that was so long ago… But I feel like this is something I could experiment with. I do have a keen sense of detail and my reactions IRL are something. Not to toot my horn or anything like that, but I shock myself when something could drop from a counter for example and my body would just react to catch it, and I would shock myself like wow… I really caught that so fast 😳 Or predict things from just one to two clues given to me. I really love this comment! You got me thinking…
This volume is pure greatness, compared to most other volumes it's less action-focussed, but instead we learn a lot more about the characters, the lore, we get some important team bonding moments, emotional throwbacks. This volume is such a rollercoaster and it has so much rewatch value to me.
The reason you were able to guess it was a Pyrrha thing is because they played Pyrrha's musical motif (also because autumn leaves are kind of her thing, but mainly the music). You may not consciously realise it, but music in a show tends to set up a lot of things and emotionally/mentally prime you for the scene.
I think so too. But I remember the scene with Pyrrha and Jaune in I believe Chapter 8 or 9 or Volume 3, they were leaves rustling around. And also the single leaf falling after Ruby talks to yang near the end of volume three. That leaf just reminds me of Pyrrha so much…and then it happened…
And the craziness has begun... Man, what an amazing batch of episodes! A couple lore dumps this time around, like learning more about the silver eyes and Mercury's semblance being stolen. Also... I was absolutely excited for the chapter 9 reaction cuz maaaaaaaaan what a heartbreaker it was, I still got to the verge of crying despite how many times I've seen it. Here's a fun fact for you, that character that was with Jaune at the statue was voiced by Jen Brown, the same voice actress for Pyrrha. It hasn't been confirmed if that character was Pyrrha's mother, but it's likely that she is a relative of some sort to her. Overall, I'm extremely excited for the finale, these next episodes are gonna be INSANE!! Seriously, you ain't ready for what's to come!!
Oh man…. I thought they were the same voice actor the more and more I heard it during the editing process… My heart was breaking immensely!!! And the finale?… oh man… It’s going to be a treat
Top tier editing and reaction in this video 🥳 Especially your reaction to Tyrian's new stinger and I couldn't keep my laugh when you blew away at Pyrrha's statue 🤣
I love this batch of episodes because its shows some of the mindsets some characters are in. JNPR needed to settle their hardships from Beacon and the trip to Haven. Ruby needed information on her eyes, and we even got more info on Merc and Emerald. Can't believe you already about to finish Volume 6, seems like just a couple weeks ago you were reacting to Divide from the OST.
22:25 A maple leaf flys away as Pyrrha's leitmotif starts Ghost: I thought that was a symbol for Pyrrha Me: No, you's right Me: knowing what the next scene is: >:}
Bruh, that last scream is _exactly_ how I felt knowin we were gonna get thrown a hard cliffhanger... but my guy, your goddamn predictions were absolutely on fire tonight! Pyrrha, Mercury's semblence, god damn dude! Lookin forward to next week man, take care'a yourself!
I’ve seen people shit on RWBY for their plan and saying they should have done x, y or z, but I will defend that it really was their best plan. In fact, what the “critics” conveniently always ignore was that the plan was actually working and the only reason it didn’t is because of Adam, someone none of the group could have known would show up at the worst possible time. But let’s entertain for a moment that there were other options, what were they? Travelling to Vacuo instead? They barely made it to Argus and some people really expect them to travel through a whole other continent, while constantly being harassed by Grimm. They’d have to pass through Vale which isn’t safe, and they only have so much time before Salem makes her next move or one of her followers tracks them down. So why not let Weiss go to Atlas on her own to talk some sense into Ironwood? First off, how Weiss feels about returning to Atlas on her own does in fact matter, especially in a world with monsters that are attracted by negative emotions. Most importantly though, there are a lot of things that can go wrong with every plan, but if something went wrong on Weiss’ end she’d have to deal with it on her own. And if she can’t, that puts everyone in Argus in an even worse position. How long do Ruby and the others wait for Weiss before they conclude she won’t be coming back? Without Weiss, their chances of getting to Atlas are pretty much zero, and with no news coming out of the Kingdom, they’ll never know what happened to her or if they’ll ever see her again. They’d be even more demoralised than before, blaming themselves for letting Weiss go alone, and they’d be an even easier target for Grimm or Salem’s people if they tried to go anywhere else. The plan might seem simple enough, if you assume that nothing will go wrong, and if you do you haven’t been paying attention, and you’ve definitely forgotten what happened the last time Weiss travelled on her own. Besides, it’s a risk to stay in the same place too long with the Relic, they may not have had the time to wait for Weiss to maybe succeed. At least with the plan they chose they have each others’ backs if things go wrong. No one has to face any issues on their own. They really didn’t have any other viable options left and that was because Cordovin was unwilling to even negotiate with them. And I should say this, in many ways this is Ironwood’s fault. He closed the borders to all non-citizens, meaning he shut out his allies. What if his allies tried to come to him for help? What if he needed their help? What if they had important intel about Salem and her plans he needed to know? What if they had a Relic that they need to take to a secure place as soon as possible? But Ironwood didn’t think to make any exceptions for Qrow, or the other Headmasters, and so he has once again made things worse for his allies. This whole mess is due to his short-sightedness and how inflexible his subordinates are.
Hehe wow, maybe sensing things before they happen IS your semblance Ghost? A passive one like your granny Maria's but a little less useful in combat but maybe better for social situations? Being able to 'sense' the flow of a conversation would probably be decently handy in tense negotiations and/or being able to tell when talk is going to escalate to action before it happens (thus giving you a head start on reactions). Would probably give you a good heads up on what *kind* of threats you'd be about to face as well (aka a 'reaction' based semblance that works best when you exercise your on the fly skills of 'analysis')~
The finale… It’s such a ride! I did hear the motif of “I’m the One” in that scene, but I was too immersed to actually say anything about it! Protect. Oscar. At all costs!!! Unhand the child! 😤😤 The Pyrrha closure, was much needed. Even though we cry 💔 And I absolutely love that semblance/premonition analysis! It makes me think about my OC even more!
Discovered your channel thanks to the RWBY reaction RU-vid algorithm and spent the past two weeks catching up on your vids. Love the passion and energy you put into your reactions! Great to finally be able to see these on their release days, and I'm so glad you're enjoying the show!
You shouting into the magical forest of death and despair was probably my favorite edit this video. XD I literally waited until the next video was out because I could not handle cliffhanger-ing myself for your reaction to the finale. XD
Oh trust! I’ve cried twice thus far on camera… This one was rough…but I have to remind myself that we’ve healing, it’s ok NOT to be ok, but we music pressed on.. Chibi helped a lot too! 🤣
That Pyrrha tribute always gets me 🤧. When I tell you you’re not gonna be prepared for how active and crazy these next chapters will be!! You won’t believe me.
So we meet another antagonist for this Volume, Caroline Cordovin, based on the Little Old Lady who lived in a Shoe, the shoe being her giant mech we saw. She and her mech were actually going to be the final battle of Volume 2, but had to cut it and came back to it in Volume 6. We also finally got to something I've wanted to talk about since Chapter 3, that being the reveal that the God of Light granted the power of the Silver Eyes to humanity as a natural defense to the Grimm of the God of Darkness, as they pointed out, his dragon form had Silver Eyes as well, and his transformation used that power of light and vaporized several Grimm in the area. That light in the Silver Eyes is born from the desire for preservation, born from Creation, antithesis to Destruction, made to shine light on the darkness in the world. We also touch on something in this moment regarding Ruby, and that's to do with the pressure she's feeling, and how she internalizes all of her self-doubt. Maria's comment about not giving herself enough credit rings true. Since Volume 4, we get glimpses of this side to Ruby, where she really starts to doubts herself, her role and decisions as a leader, letting the pressures of everything going on get to her. From apologizing to Jaune for even bringing RNJR with her in Volume 4, to apologizing vehemently to Yang upon their reunion in Volume 5 (even going so far as to say she wasn't even sure Yang wanted her around at the time she left), as if it had weighed on her mind a lot and never really let it show, and now in Volume 6, where she acknowledges that the pressure is a lot to deal with, but as we saw, she was able to grow into a leader who has confidence in her decisions, regardless of what anyone says. It's a really understated part of her character that barely anyone talks about or even notices. Also, I love how, since you know Maria's semblance, Preflexes, now, if you go back to her fight in the flashback, you can tell when she reacts to attacks right before they happen, it's subtle, but it's there. Now, the big moment, the Pyrrha statue. The vocal song being sung, "Forever Fall" named after the forest in Volume 1, where Jaune fought the Ursa with help from Pyrrha, has been a present leitmotif for Pyrrha since her first time on screen. When you see her in Chapter 3, you can briefly hear the melody kick up when she shows up for the brief moment shown, and has been used to symbolize her from the beginning. Another note about this scene is that the fallen maple leaf has been used as a symbol for Pyrrha since the Volume 2 opening and was used to great effect when she was having her crisis to become the Fall maiden, and that fallen maple leaf guided Jaune to her statue in Argus. We also meet a relative to her, played by Jen Brown, who played Pyrrha, though it has never been revealed whether she's her sister, mother, etc. Nor do we ever get her name. You can bet a lot of tears have been shed over this scene in particular, which brings up something I feel this series does really well, and that's how character deaths are handled. It must be born from the show's creative team's genuine loss over Monty, as they give these character's deaths real weight, and never let them be forgotten. It really reflects how they have never forgotten Monty, you could even see the Pyrrha statue as a stand-in for Monty, and the showrunners as Jaune, Nora, and Ren. This scene really is the culmination of Jaune's arc since Volume 4, his head being stuck in the constant state of self-hatred for what happened to Pyrrha, torturing himself with videos of her giving training instructions, blowing up at Cinder at Haven over what she did, and now this, when the team is at it's lowest in terms of drive to keep going, and they, and especially Jaune use Pyrrha's drive to try and fight a seemingly unwinnable battle as an example of how they can keep going, to Keep Moving Forward. It's a really brilliant scene that accomplishes so much. Yes, there's also the deal with Adam, it turns out, those visions of him from both Blake and Yang weren't just visions, he was legitimately stalking Blake all the way from Haven. It's clear he's ready to get rid of the person who caused him to lose control of the White Fang, the one who ruined his chances of becoming a hero and leader for the Faunus, and has decided to take matters into his own hands. He spent Volume 5 trying to bring Blake to him, now he's going after her, the one thing he couldn't control, the one that got away.
Adam stalking them that whole time…boggled my mind…🤯 like legitimately The Forever Fall theme…I can’t un-hear it and can’t believe I haven’t picked up on it. Another motif I picked up on is Cinder’s with “All Things Must Die”, which starts from the very beginning! 🤯 Get ready for the finale!
It is my understanding from the world of remnant, that Qrow's status as a hunter out ranks Cordovan at least enough for their request to get Ironwood's approval granted. The fact that she refuses even this much, to me, is a plot hole.
It may not be a plot hole, but an illustration of Cordo's personality flaws. Being in command of the Atlas base isn't just a job to her, but a huge part of her self identity. Since being an authority figure is most of her self-image, she has trouble recognizing the independence of huntsmen. She just can't wrap her mind around the idea that they exist outside her authority. Could be foreshadowing, but I don't want to express all my thoughts on that subject here, where GhOxt may get spoiled.
Thank you for the shoutout at the beginning ! I didn't expect it, it's so cool :D I loved this reaction and I can't wait to see next week aah I really look forward for Volume 7 and 8 too 👀 And RUBY BEST GIRL
Hey there Ghost, Yeah, Chapter 9 was really another heart break for those of us who loved Pyrrha. But the mother/sister (believe that CRWBY confirmed that it was mother at a later con) truly put some basic facts about what a Huntsman/Huntress responsibilities were truly about. It was a good reminder to Jaune and crew. (And to those of us in the FNDM that might have forgotten) If it wasn't for the Academies, then there might have been another war. The academies were a stabilizing force against Salem. Oz might not have had a plan against Salem, but the academies were a step in the right direction. How do you like Cordovin? The old woman who lived in a shoe? ;-)
Dude! I love your content! Stumbled across you when looking for some reactions for RWBY moments and ended up watching all the reactions from Volume 1 up to here. Now I have a weekly video to look forward to every Friday! Thanks for what you do :)
I'm still dying to know what it was, especially since his dad decided it "makes you weak". Would he have said that about any semblance or was it because of what it was?
Ya... best take a good long meditation session Gh0xt, there's a lot to unpack in this season. Also, let this be a reminder to us all to respect your elders, for Maria is a freaking badass! Seriously, Gh0xt, of all the characters you could have chosen to be a descendant of in this series, you may have chosen the best one. You have excellent taste my man.
15:02 cue Lost. 20 minute hug huh? 22:38 cute little detail, that gust of wind was definitely put in specifically to buffet his red sash. Which is one of his mementos of Pyrrha. A lot of small but important thoughts go into animating something like this. 23:07 it WAS a symbol for Pyrrha after all :D If it's an actual worry of yours, trust me I have 0 belief and about 500 disbelief in you prewatching anything. You're raw, you're just observant, clever and curious. Leads to making good predictions and asking timely questions. 33:30 Not officially confirmed, but it certainly looks like Adrian has an unlocked semblance with how powerful his cry is. Very young to have that, but it if a little kid like that is going to unlock it, this would be the type xD 36:00 Maria continues to be a gem 37:45 gem 30:08 GEM
Jaune’s reaction and attack on Oscar is more heartbreaking than it seems at first glance in my opinion. Think about it: Jaune cheated to get into Beacon but Ozpin accepted him and made him a team leader. I’m sure that was a sign to Jaune that he was worthy after all. Then he lost Pyrrha. He blamed himself for that. He still thought of Ozpin as a wise mentor until he learned what the others learned about him. Then it all hit him. Ozpin wasn’t some great man or a wise old hero. He was a liar and a failure. And if that’s true then it also means that Jaune shouldn’t have been the leader. So Pyrrha died because of Ozpin. Or at least that’s what occurs to Jaune in that moment. It wasn’t until he remembered that Oscar is a victim here too that he calms down and reflects on himself. He would have sunk deeper into his depression if his team hadn’t been there to pull him out of it. Jaune will always miss Pyrrha and will never forget her but with the help of his friends he’s learned to stop hurting himself and others about it. That’s what Jaune’s arc (Ha!) is all about, moving on.
Yup. Him acting the way that he did is valid. It was rough to see at first glance, but I completely get it. I just hate how Oscar has to suffer for the burden of Oz...
Woah, I can't believe I missed the Bumblebee set up so much. Maybe because it's more in the background compared to Blake and Sun. Like holding hands in the background. But I must say; Blake and Sun definitely feel more like friends.
27:20 Same. This broke me the first time. The woman with glasses and red hair has the same voice actress as Pyrrha, so I'm guessing it's implied to be a close family member...
man i've been binge watching your reactions and i have to say seeing you react to all the emotional hits has me cackling like Tyrian. though that may be more a me thing, after i've seen it already i like seeing people's reactions to it.
I always love that Tyrian presents himself like an unhinged mad man stereotype but then he consistently shows incredible insight into people and a skill at manipulating them and V7 shows he knows how to play this up to his advantage.
A couple of little details i noticed: 4:33 - I thought at first back when this aired that the line "friends of...questionable character" was directed mainly towards Blake but looking on it now it shows both Blake AND yang in the shot. Probably unintentional but the reference could be referring to both: Blake being a faunus cause what with atlas' discriminatory views but also could be in reference to Yang's televised " unwarranted attack" on Mercury during the vytal festival. 12:13 - Only just noticed that they start playing an instrumental version of Red Like Roses here that then fades into an Instrumental version of This Will Be The Day during the second half of the scene.
Fun fact! The song playing while Ruby calls out Qrow on the stairs is the same one when she was speaking to Raven at Haven and she said “you sound just like your mother” - might be an implication to what qrow was thinking in that moment!
Hey there! I always take the pessimistic approach to posting things, assuming that the things I say won't be recognized. But I do know I once said, early on in your reactions to these videos "You are not prepared." This was somewhat of a meme, referencing the World of Warcraft villain Illidan who's catchphrase it has become known for. However. After enjoying all of these videos, truly and honestly. I have watched through this show so many times, with so many people and I absolutely love your reactions to this show. Monty Oum created something phenomenal with this and every time I get to enjoy someone experiencing it for the first time makes me enjoy it even more. But I'm afraid I simply must say, "You are not prepared."
Bit of a late comment due to real life. Great reaction as always. These episodes easily made Maria one of my favorite RWBY characters. She's awesome and absolutely hilarious! And I appreciate that Jaune actually sincerely apologized for what he did to Oscar. Though I can't deny I fully understand why this upset Team JN(P)R as much as it did. Plus, Qrow arguably did worse by punching Oscar so hard he flew into a tree. (Granted Oz was in control at the time, but it's Oscar's body so he'll feel the pain afterwards.) Plus, his paranoia over whether it's really Oscar or Ozpin is believable, considering the only way to tell the difference between the two on the outside is the way they speak, which Oz might be able to mimic simply by virtue of sharing a body & mind. As for Qrow's worry about getting arrested, while it may seem silly a first glance, there's two reasons that make it more understandable. The first is that he's simply trying to find any justification to give up, no matter how small. He's convinced that it's pointless to try, so why bother? The other reason is because is because if they get arrested, they could be stalled long enough for Salem to get far enough ahead in her plans that their actions would no longer make a difference. There's also the fact that the Atlesian military is very large and powerful, and unlike most Grimm they're able to think, making any chance of escape extremely difficult. Plus, Ironwood clearly isn't always the most reasonable person, as evidenced by his closing of Atlas' borders. Like I said, great reaction, and looking forward to the Volume 6 finale!
18:22 "Was his semblance in his legs?" That is...actually a really interesting theory I don't think I've heard before. Mercury is based on the Roman God named Mercury (aka Hermes) who wore winged sandals he could fly with. If his semblance was related to that it would make a lot of sense for his dad to remove his legs and take the semblance with it.
I absolutely love the addition of Maria. Her jokes are great. "Now, now. Let's not give up hope yet... Maybe she's dead." "Oh Cordo, you know they say that time changes people, but I see that you've still got that stick right up...." 🤣🤣🤣 And again, Jaune shows why I can't stand him. It's all about Jaune and what "he's" lost in all this. Just like in V4 when he tried to put the blame on others for Pyrrha's decision to become the Fall Maiden and take on Cinder. He hasn't learned anything during the time since. He was right. He's been a terrible friend. Ren telling him it has to stop was wrong. Jaune should have apologized. He's been a jerk from the beginning when he got mad at Pyrrha just because she offered to help him train. Who knows. Maybe Jaune will start acting less selfish, worried only about what's happened to him and his losses during this journey. It's funny. As cold as the weather is there, Ren's still wearing open-toed shoes. lol Ruby, showing again why Ozpin chose her as the leader. Have you noticed? Since after the defeat of the Nevermore in V3, everyone's been looking to Ruby to decide what to do, regardless if they're in her team or not. That is a lot of responsibility for a 14-15 yo girl. But, she's a natural born leader. "Some people seek greatness. Others have greatness thrust upon them." And Weiss makes sure to put her seat belt on. lol If you notice, at 37:23, Maria doesn't actually push the "talk" button down. The artists made a bit of an "Oops" there. Yep. This is one of the best volume's. Good choreography again and great story-line. Keep up the great reactions.
@@gh0xttherebel pre-flexes ----> premonitions .... makes sense! Or, how about pre-munitions: you can see weapon attacks coming in advance, or sense legendary equipment hidden in dungeons?
28:49 ive seen this show maybe dozens of times. currently its about 2am and i might have woken up everyone in my house just from the sheer laughter of this moment
The Pyrrha arc closure in episode 9 is one of my favorite moments on all of RWBY. We ALL needed that closure, just like team JNPR. It’s timing was exactly what was needed in all of our narratives. This show doesn’t always do the best job of closing the loop on hooks but this one was perfection.
Another fun session~ Now for a quick list of things I liked both in show and your vid. 1. I unironically ADORE Cordo. Like her design, like how alot of angles on her make her as big or tall as possible to fit her attitude. But most importantly I love that old lady HATE energy between her and Maria~! Love me some grandmas who can't stand each other XD. 2. So when you started doing that running gag of puttin a little Pyrha stand in for alot of the group shots I couldn't help but think of episode 9 and was giggling the whole time with the thought "Hey look the show did it for you this time~" lol Again lovely session lookin forward to the next~
