How stupid does a cop have to be before they can't tell the difference between a radio message telling them that someone is "drawing" and not "droning" outside a Police station?
I could tell this platform so many true stories about bad police and good police back in time but the new police are wrong with the common law nowadays
That's the secret, ----- know the law the cop is mangling, and pushback and stand your ground with correct knowledge ,it confuses them when it happens.
When police officers have made a pre-judgement on the actions of auditors/drone pilots, it's like the old saying; "I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with facts." Cops always confirm the old saying: Light travels faster than sound. That is why so many appear intelligent until you hear them speak. No matter the country, corrupt police are all the same. They bark unlawful orders at members of the public conducting legal and lawful activities with the belief that those orders have merit. They are only put in place when those being bullied demonstrate a greater knowledge of the laws than the police.
That’s exactly how that drone officer acted in a previous video. He jumped out of his car and claimed DJE had no visual line of sight, then asked where the drone was, because he himself didn’t know. 🤦♂️ Logic is not their strong point.
I'd even go so far to say that not only is logic not their strong point, neither is basic intelligence. They are, to not put too fine a point on it, thick.
@@n700rat VLOS is the name of this requirement but most people don’t understand what the CAA means by that, including this drone officer. It’s all about knowing where the drone is and which way it’s pointing. You can do this without staring at the sky 100% of the time, if you turn your back to talk to someone the drone is not going to dart off across the sky. It’s a moot point anyway. He’d just taken off, the drone was overhead ascending between the trees. Not the best place to take off, but if you’re doing a quick up and down flight it’s not a problem.
They make a perfect job of making themselves look bad. It’s almost comical there lack of knowledge regarding the law. The barrels that are being scraped to produce incompetent officers like this are numerous…… absolutely zero social skills 😡
What a perfect example of arrogance and ignorance, utter pignorance. Hardly surprising the disconnect, distrust the people have for police in general, due to plonkers like that.
It’s a good question. The answer is their range of interactions isn’t like a random person’s. They get called to high pressure situations with unpredictable people all the time. Over time those dramas change their perception of risk.
Your conclusion as to the coppers attitude was spot on, he was aggressive, tried to be smart and controlling and made himself look stupid, a typical copper.
That copper at first demanded I.d and details. He is definitely a tyrant who will abuse your rights. You did try a bit hard to get content and they sussed that too . Good video
In America, part of the determination for a detention is whether the person feels like they have the ability to freely leave. If the police says "STAY HERE!" and you don't feel like you can walk away then that could turn into an investigative detention.
The laws of England and Wales - not necessarily the whole UK - grant a police officer the right to stop anyone for questioning. That stop is what in US is called detention and leaving is not an option. Naturally, members of the public can refuse to answer questions, but imho that is unwise if the encounter is friendly.
@@patricklockerby4308 Only if the officer has reasonable grounds to suspect a crime is or is about to be committed . if the officer can not articulate a crime then you can't lawfully be detained . so if you are not guilty of a crime them you are not engaged in a friendly encounter , you are being treated as a suspect . you could unwittingly incriminate yourself due to information you are not privy to, that the officer uses to frame the questions to frame you for a crime you never commited .
I live in Oxford and most of the po po are o.k but like every were thetes gonna be tossa's, any way bro thx for the interesting video cheers 🥂!🤝💚🙏✝️ Also its good for us to see the reaction of the po po and the way they behave, Again ty & God bless 🙏
Those cops are idiots, he came up all gung ho, asking for license and NOT knowing anything about drone law, the state of police these days, what an asshole
I have the operator ID as a QR code on my drone. I recommend that if you have many interactions with cops, because some of them are too stupid to understand how to retrieve it. I also think I'm going to put blue or red tape on it to make it easier to have VLOS. Then cops can't use that as an excuse either. I don't recommend going to the police station announcing that you're going to fly a drone. Also I wouldn't recommend admitting to flying it or even telling that you have a drone. This could have gone a lot worse, but it makes good content. He mentioned grading cops. I'll give him a C- 😅
Not sure people can put two and two together and just read the initials to see what you mean. anyway now I have pointed it out to people reading this. C. U. N.ext T.ime hope they understand now.
@@darrylrichardson7940 It was meant as a rather 'Subtle Comment.' People often put Two and Two together and make Five - Thinking that I am praising someone! However, I am glad that you found the correct interpretation! :)
Down in the south I often notice how cool people’s personalities can be from RU-vid videos. I’m from northern England so I’m not experienced with the south but, these cops had chilly personalities, and it just reinforces my stereotype.
He said he's got things to do? How much time did he waste with all the crap. He didn't even know the difference between his responsibility as a data handler and that of a private person taking photos or recording.
Don't feed them the word 'suspicious' better to say "I have done nothing illegal" He could easily have turned on you and said I am suspicious of you commiting a crime.
Another pissed off tyrant, I hope he reads these comments. Just because he's in a clown suit he thinks he can bully you into your details. Has he not had an encounter with an auditor or watched RU-vid? Quality mate!
Cops all around the world think that it’s always all about them. If someone walks away from the area that they’re in “they walked away because they’re up to something” 😂 I have the freedom to change my mind and go in a different direction.
Brilliant video. Loved the views. Great that you stood up to that idiot police officer, clearly over thinking things and clearly trying to bully you. 👏👏👏 Well done 👍
The constable portrayed HIMSELF in a bad light - didn't introduce himself, didn't advise he was recording, tried to make things up as he went along....pretty poor performance.
Walks up and passive aggressively talks shit about something he knows nothing about. goes away, finds out he knew even less than he thought he did and that he's made himself look like a weapon, comes back and passive aggressively has a final wee nibble. Great police work.
It is disappointing to see ignorant and aggressive cops like this one attempting to harass public photography, what tools of growing 'Fascism' by police agencies...
2:02 when you filmed that guy walking into the court building may have been committing an offence. If he was a witness or anybody else involved in a case then it is illegal to film them from within a court building. Auditing Britain was fined a couple of years ago for doing this and had his phone taken permanently.
my wife worked there 25 years ago, she came back to Nwcastle 2 years later, met me in a pub and we got married in 2003, 20 yrs together now, love your videos
17:00 Cop gets stroppy when spoken to in the same abrupt manner that he speaks to others. He fails to understand that he has to act within laws, not by presumed authority. ‘..having a conversation..’, bullshit! The cop knows about videographers but still acts like he has control over people.
How on Earth is that guy an officer?? No, really. What is going on with these over entitled officers thinking that they rule over the people? I'm all for the Police. 100% support them. But when officers act like this, it makes me sick! Well handled. Good video
Another aggressive, ignorant cop. He was struggling to control his anger because the scenario didn't go the way he thought it would. He'd do well to review his humiliating performance here to improve his behaviour in future, Sadly, I doubt if he's got the self awareness to take a long hard look at himself. As for his colleague, a complete waste of space.
27,07 copper admitted you weren't suspected of a crime. So that was definitely not a detainment. Well done for catching that "we'll let you go on your way", he couldn't stop you legally anyway.
✌🏻😎🏴The second he said “you aren’t detained”. I would have run away to see if they started chasing me 😂. I have a funny feeling the cop you was left with would have chased you 😂
Its not just policy that they tell you they are recording its enshrined in law too Its the same laws that require shops and pubs etc to display signage re cctv. Body worn cameras are cctv remember
They were both breaking the law yes because they parked on a double yellow line without the reds and blues turned on which would have absolved them from the parking fine which i hope is coming their way. crack on DJEM
It's pretty annoying watching this entitled cop is behaving, he really shouldn't have a badge as I'm sure he's jammed up people for absolutely nothing.
You were rude to the officer. If you had done that in the US You would most likely end up inside of the police department giving them what they’re asking from you now
He was told there was nothing he could do about it, so the only thing left for him to do was try to save face and be passive aggressive insinunating you were just there to cause trouble and get a rise out of them. He only made himself look worse that he realizes.
Egotistical cop who didn’t know a thing but was prepared to try and flex his muscle if you didn’t know the law. The usual not telling you he was filming till asked. He was trying to be clever but instead looked a bit of a fool.
what a muppet, he wound himself up, but still, bless he held it together until he was corrected, I've had encounters like that just for having a bodycam, yet I've also stood beside one who was performing an arrest, and the detainee knew he was caught, zero resistance, and the policeman told him I have to cuff you lets make sure its not too uncomfortable, and the detainee said he was thirsty had a carton of juice with him (the type with a straw) and the policeman inserted straw allowed him to drink it whilst waiting for the wagon, there was absolutely no issue filming either, I got fed up and it was hot, so I didn't hang around for the van, but was good to see... There isn't enough accountability and the police often suck with their attitudes, you hit on the crucial point its about the approach, the most interactions I have for same reason isn't so much police but customs, good video loved that views of Oxford, thanks.
