As I was watching this I was envisioning using fabric from old favorite clothes (too worn or stained in spots to donate) to make a memories piece to frame, especially when the clothes are from babies and kids❤ When it turned out to be a purse, I thought it would be a great memory gift for the grown-up baby girl❣️❣️❣️

I have a friend who lost her daughter to SIDS (aka cot/crib death). Months later I asked if she had been able to clear out her room yet. She had taken the crib down and put the furniture in storage but was struggling with donating or giving away any of the clothes. I suggested that she make a quilt out of them so she could wrap herself up when she cried. It turned out so beautiful. I’m sure that she still uses it. We never really get over the loss of a little one.

The way you quilted some of the triangles was so clever. What a good idea.

Well, that was unexpected. When you stitched all the triangles into a big hexagon, I thought for sure it was a table topper. I was so surprised when you turned it into a beautiful little bag! So glad I stayed to the end.
