This is totally random, but my partner and I were in Armenia last year and we ALSO had Baghrat as our taxi driver!! We lost our minds when we saw him in your video. We hired him for a few days out of Dilijan on the other side of the country which is insane! You should have taken him up on his offer for vodka with his family, as we did. We ended up in tiny village east of Sevan drinking vodka and eating cheese and bread with him, and his mother and brother in law!!

If anybody is interested Lada comes from a word "Ладья" which in Ancient Kievan Rus times was a boat, a prototype of Viking longship, that was mostly used as a military vessel, and by merchants and travelers. That is why there is a picture of the boat on the Lada logo.

Since I've been binge watching Bald and Harald so much recently, seeing the new upload in Georgia, I had an urge to go somewhere, so this morning I just randomly took the train to Salisbury and now I'm on the train back watching this. Had an awesome day in an incredibly beautiful small city, saw the Magna Carta in the little no photography private booth (literally had no idea it was here! Just stumbled upon it) and saw so much beauty and history that formed the Western World 800 years ago. EVERYBODY reading this. I strongly advise you to just get up and catch a train somewhere. You always think you don't have time or that you need to plan it but nothing is stopping you. Just go, it's awesome.

Brits have this unusual relationship to history and the passage of time. Shall I tell you a personal anectode about that (?) In 1999 I visited Castle Howard in Yorkshire. I wandered around the outdoors by myself and along one path . . . I found a marker for a time capsule that had recently been buried. It was to be opened in the future. How far in the future would you guess (?) Maybe 100 years (?) No . . . they made it ONE THOUSAND years in the future. Think about the mentality of that . . .

The shepherd Dili was in love with his master's daughter, however her father was against it and ordered to kill the shepherd. For many long and dark days, the sorrowful mother was mourning and looking for her only son all over the area and desperately crying, "Dili jan, Dili jan .. Виталий Горбачев that’s absolutely not true. Where did you read that? Armenia is one of the safest counties to travel to. It has a very low crime rate and pickpocketing is so incredibly rare. They also don’t try to rip you off at every corner like they do in some counties in Europe. Whether you’re a female traveling alone or with a male partner, you will be safe just use common sense.

@gagamba9198 4 года назад
It's the place where you post letters and parcels. In the pre-internet days, central post offices were important for travellers. If you wanted to receive letters and parcels during your travels, the sender would send it to a city's central post office using poste restante. Obviously, the sender would have to know your itinerary. The format would be something like this: _Given name, middle name_ (if any), _surname_ (this would have to match your passport) _Poste Restante_ _C/O POSTMASTER_ _Central Post Office_ (CPO) or _General Post Office_ (GPO) _City name_ _State or province name_ _Country name_ You would visit the post office, tell the clerk you wanted to pick up your poste restante mail, present your ID, and s/he'd go look for it.
