Words can not describe the Motorcyclepedia Museum, it is impossible to check out every piece in one day. Jerry (Ted's son) and his collection is an America Treasure.
29:00 John's economics are spot on. I have part that I will never use, will eventually sell for half what I paid for them, and that will 100% be new money from nowhere.
That V-Twin place was crazy! (Ted is awesome) I like how Craig stayed behind in case something jumped out at you guys. The best part was seeing my pal Fiona road-tripping with you guys! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, bitches!
Of course and hopefully its still with the friend I sold it to I won the ISCA Show tour 4 years running throughout the United states before becoming Denver's Custom Choppers in San Bernadino Custom Painter which I reset or changed the way paint design was done back then.
I built the half and half for Custom Cycle but they only gave me 4 days. I was rubbed out the paint when Joe Alphabet of Boneshaket fame saw it and called Ron Fintch from Pontiac Machine to fly out to the NYS Coliseum just to check out my paint work. I did modern at on one side and predictive art on the other. No one was doing anything close to that for the next 10 years. It made the cover of Super Cycle.
I built many more for many years and a friend who recently passed has an hour of just 5 of them on a trip to the Hamptons. His sons name is Justin Ulchar and I hope he has it. I am still build by the grace of God working on an aftermarket V Rod Muscle that is safer and much faster. Its electric shifted , Supercharged and so many other things.
History lesson 101. I was Master Tech in 'Burg Honda for 6 years. 1 year instead of laying us off for the winter, we had to install snow plows on new trucks. After the second one I said barf this and came to Florida. Done with the Burg. Done with the N.Y. Nog.
John and Craig -- I AM at the "north pole." Minus 2 F and wind gusts up to 50 mph qualifies as "Arctic." Balls! It's great to see snowless roads and some sunshine. Thanks for this informative vid! That Duo Glide chop is 1960s period-perfect -- insane molded peanut tank and fender and all! Fiona swears in Belgian -- you just don't understand it. In my spare parts stash, still have some K-model/early Sportster fork boots from V-Twin. I'm hoping those parts will find a new "home" sometime soon. Stay safe. Merry Christmas 2022! -- W
Ted mentioned the East coast chopper scene. There were some cats in Weseley, CT and elsewhere in CT who built and rode some pretty far-out machines for the time (mid-late 1960s). One of them was a guy named Steve Hitchcock who rode with the Iron Horsemen MC. Back in the mid-late 1960s, guys up there in CT grafted Triumph forks; some with exposed springs; to their H-D Big Twins. Merry Christmas ya filthy (and righteous) animals!
Only recently found this channel.. You two are hilarious.. you remind me of my brother and I.. crazy shits.. I wish i had the finance to buy up some parts and do a chopper build.. you guys make me wanna do that.. right now I dont even have a bloody bike but I have a bike based channel.. i was thinking of doing a cafe racer build when the finances strengthen up.. but i think choppers are a long standing addiction of mine.. Unfortunately Harley is a bit out of my reach here in South Africa.. I would probably be in my 60's when I finally get my hands on one.. but there is no other feeling like ripping around on a chopper.. You guys are lucky to have the parts accessible in USA.. keep building them mean chopper machines that you do so well..
Hey seriously guys how many bikes do you have for sale if you could show them on your next video or something I might buy one or two then again I might not I love you guys you're the best!
First off, eff you for making me feel so old. Joking of course, but I grew up not far from the Burg, and remember the o-riginal Ted's. It was miles from there, and in a beautiful rural area of the Burg, just a few miles from Maroney H-D. That's truly getto where you're at now, down by the river, Holy Balls, don't get lost.💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 If you get lost, it was nice knowing you. For the record, I did like and suscribe. 👍😎👍
Be careful what kind of dog you own. You start to look like them. My wife picked me cause she rescues Huskies. I shed heavily, don't listen, make messes and have blue eyes.
