Great review and comparison of such an iconic knife. I think it’s really cool that Benchmade branched out and did this. The 940 bar none is such a great knife. In my eyes it’s like a Buck 110, pm2 etc. Thanks for sharing this one.

I saw that and went to grab it but was already sold out but yeah, sounded like there would definitely be more in January at least. Really like that it’s a new and different material though.

It is weird that CA laws are very misinterpreted. We can buy sell and collect. Can't carry anything over 2 inches but yes very different than what everyone thinks.

I believe it was called Omaha Knives but the owner passed away and they are no longer in business unfortunately.

I have a 940-2. While I wanna like it, I find the blade too thick for my daily use. I ain't cleaning hooves and prying paint cans all day. I require a much more slicey kinda knife for my daily driver. I have a BM Mediator that I love, it's one of my fav autos I own.

Have you thought about swapping it for a Lynch clip to see if that works better for you? I carry the 940 more but I usually just pocket drop it. Thanks for taking a look!

Thank you I will look into a Lynch clip. Work pants are just too thick for the pocket clip that goes to an arrow

You don't know how California you are till you leave 😂 Love you sir, but I wouldn't worry one bit about carrying that knife everywhere with you. One your skin color, two, my experiences with being caught with illegal weapons, was not that big of a deal, and they let me keep it. Which was an extendable batton, in the bay area. You'll be fine as long as your not commiting a crime with the knife 😉🙌

Haha for RU-vid’s ad suitability I can’t recommend any illegal activity but from my experience you’re right. I was stopped with a butterfly knife about 15 years ago, they confiscated it but that was it.
