It always amazes me when I find hundreds of them grouped together under a log

amazing content! Love seeing animals in their living spaces, and you being careful not to hurt them in any way; just examining and showing us how they look.

Thank you! I do my best to avoid harming animals: this the duty of anyone who chooses to interact with fauna in the wild (as well as domestic). :D

Oh, I really like harvestmans. I'm actually breeding 5 of them, and I've just gotten interest in the harvestman in this vidio too. Thank you for introducing us such a beautiful creature.

I like harvestmen because they were my introduction to harmless inverts. They also remind me of the striders from half life

Really cool, harvestmen are fascinating. Recently found a Egaenus Convexus, its body was the size of a coin

Would you do a video looking for giant house spiders? I've always been fascinated and terrified of them
@jeanannd

When they get that big they are normally very old and haven't long to live. Loved them as a kid. We just called them daddy long legs and would put our hands down for them to walk across. After a while they realized they were on some large animal and would walk off fast.

Absolutely fascinating wildlife video. Harvestmen are such delicate creatures that I actually feel kind of sad for them, thinking of how they often lose their limbs.

I have seen the large gangly harvestman in salt lake city, or something similar to him. on the bench from lake bonneville's shoreline.

So I think these bog ones have now arrived in Germany. I remember seeing one when I was 16 years old but then never again, and now they can be found in really big aggregations

How do they take lizards?
@GeneralApathy
@GeneralApathy 2 года назад
I’m not entirely sure, especially considering that they possess no venom, but there’s at least one record of such an occurrence. There are some that have a legspan greater than 20cm, so size is likely quite an important factor. I have seen a video of one picking up an autotomized skink’s tail (that was still writhing) in its chelicerae though.
