I ran across this video because I just recently purchased my first Z being a '91 NA 2+2 with only 72,000 original miles. I think I got a good deal on it but it needs some repairs to get it back on road but all the shops have been BS'ing me with them saying that parts for the Z are hard to find... Yet all we're talking about right now is a timing belt and component 🤷😂
Some parts are getting harder to find, sites like conceptzperformance and z1motorsports have alot ofnwhat you'll need. Also finding a Z32 specific mechanic is essential don't trust regular shops
Prices sucks now because all these trendy kids all want a Z32 for some reason. Few years ago, I used to pick them up decent Z's all the time for free or like 2-3k, now the same cars are asking 7-8k. A clean low mile Z would be 14k, like 25k for the same thing. Mine has a salvaged title, but it was never wrecked, the original owner I got it from, had the paperwork that it was stolen and for whatever reason they had to issue a new vin for it. I didn't care because it was just meant to be a drag car, but I do miss driving it like I used to. I've been on the hunt for just a clean car as well, but I think I'm just going to wait it out. Z's are not in low supply, I think the market is just dumb because a few basically show room condition cars sold for big bucks. I think the prices will drop again, once all the trendy kids start struggling to afford parts and repairs. I used to find Z's in people's backyards all the time broke down because they didnt take care of the car, or couldn't afford to fix them. I think soon enough we will see another wave of cars like that.
Its not really because of kids. Most don't even know what the car is or care for the VG30. From what ive seen on the Z facebook groups, its the older generation jealous of supra, nsx, skyline, RX7 owners, pumping up the prices. Even encouraging other owners to raise the price of their Zs. I tell ya fueled by envy and BaT sales, they're gonna ruin it for everyone.
@@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARS I have seen people encouraging these higher prices or stating the sellers price is "too low" for the condition of the Z when in reality a year ago people would have bashed the person for the high price tag.
@@AlexZ32 I love J30's. Also surprised of z32 price increases but these cars have alot of carching up to do compared to FD RX7, supra, NSX, etc... Got a 93 TT tastefully modded that I traded sc400+$800 back in 2009, and hagerty says it's now worth $20-30k. Now I need to increase the stated value on it. Hope you find a good z32 soon!
170k miles really isn't a whole lot due to the age of these cars. What matters is when and if certain maintenance things were done. Timing belt is a must after 120k, water pump, oil pump. When we're they last changed. Is it leaking from certain spots etc.
Where do you stay at? I have a 1993 300zx na 2+2 188k miles clean title also. Automatic I'm thinking on selling it (I don't want to) lol. because I looking for a house but maybe shoot me an offer.
