What a nightmare of pipes! EV technician and an EV plumber needed here. Interior looks intriguing and hope you'll show more of in due course. I wasn't even aware of this new Mazda.
At Fully Charged Live this year the Mazda Rep explained in detail that a tiny Wankel engine is destined for the space under the bonnet. It will run at a constant speed when charging the traction battery to extend range and may possibly be available as a dealer retro-fit. Mazda expect this Wankel to be more reliable than previous versions because it will be running at optimum speed for efficiency and long life. It will also be smoother and quieter than the motorbike engine BMW put in the back of the I3 rex
As you say, it works well enough... but what a truly terrible design! Mazda's techie chief needs sacking for signing this pile of poop off as production ready. Any bloody fool could have done better than this quite frankly. it adds yet further fuel to the conflagration that will be the death of many Japanese car manufacturers. The signposts are already there to follow, so there really is zero excuse for cocking up such simple technology anymore.
Hello… I don’t really understand your comment are you referring to the car as a whole or the EV side of things? On videos it looks a little ugly duckling but having seen it in the showroom it’s much better. I have to say the quality of materials, paint finish and build quality is exceptional. I’ll stick my neck out and say on that point it’s the best EV available having owned BMW, Merc and Jaguars previously- I wouldn’t consider a Tesla at all from that point. With regard to the range, it’s not ideal but it would suit my needs. 👍
Hi Matt, I saw Sandy Munro Stripping down the Ford Mach e and how disappointed he was , I think the Mazda is a close second to that . We have come to expect better from the likes of Mazda .. keep up the videos . Roger from Norfolk.
It’s always disappointing that traditional car makers keep thinking in ICE terms instead of embracing the opportunities that going electric could give them.
@@PeakCivilization My point. They need to stop thinking the old ways and move on before we ruin the planet for future generations just because of profits.
