I’ve been on a lot of these cruises to destinations with a long pier to walk. It’s freaking hot and that walk is brutal when you are out of shape. Knowing that, I don’t always go ashore. It would’ve been nice to see other things that she could have shown us, such as how deserted the pools on the ship can be on port days, the spa or thermal suite deals that happen on port days, enjoying your own balcony or some other public space and just taking in the scenery from the ship. Or maybe some ways to combat the heat and the long walk, good shoes to wear, what clothing is a good idea, how to pack light for the day and protect yourself from the sun.

@@jj-if6it I used to feel that way, too. An injury changed my perspective. Depends on the port, how many times I’ve already been there, weather, etc. I don’t hold my spouse back though - he may go explore something that interests him while I enjoy the peace on board. Always a good, easy getaway when we just drive to the departure port.

I’m not one for cruises or Disney but there are other people that give far better descriptions of this cruise and island. They showed all the amenities and choices. They made it sound really fun! Edit: the channel is Cruise with Ben and David.

She did a virgin voyages cruise and was miserable as well so the ship doesn't matter. Other vloggers have done a better job at presenting the cruise and destinations

When it’s hot and humid you can choose to workout indoors. She’s pointing out for people thinking about this cruise excursion that it’s a long walk with no place to stop or get shade. Stop throwing shade. Let’s emulate to the younger people and set an example of civility. There’s enough negativity in the world.

I agree. The whole thing should be canopied (of course, that's tricky when hurricanes hit). And there should be two cooling stations with cold water to drink and cool water sprays. People are gonna be literally getting heat strokes.

@@lindabaker3655 It's a half mile. I think that would generally be considered a short walk for an able bodied adult. I think the only issue might be if someone is not used to the heat.
