This is a very simple schedule/system. The thing about the other systems that I find on RU-vid is that they’re very complicated, no matter how much they say they’re easy. They give you the daily tasks, but on that day you still have to do your weekly tasks, and on that same day you still got to do your monthly or whatever. So it still adds up to too many tasks! How is this simple? You’re giving us one thing to do per day, and that makes a lot more sense to me. If you end up doing other things, that’s something you were ready to do with your own accord, kind of spot cleaning stuff throughout the day. Some thing you can do for maybe a minute at a time or something , But in terms of your schedule like your big task or a “what do I have to do today” it’s gotta be just one thing. Those other system scared because even if I was a stay at home mom I think it would be a lot to handle. I seem to be the only person who ever had this issue, but I’m here and I see how simple your schedule is so clearly I wasn’t alone, lol.
Finally a cleaning schedule that makes sense 👏👏 I use to look at people who did certain jobs on certain days and always wondered how it would work if they missed a day. That’s why it never worked for me. This looping makes it doable and simplified, thank you! Off to do my list now🥰
So simple and easy! Genius idea, THANK YOU! Some days I can barely scrape by, let alone clean my house and other days I'm a cleaning machine so this is perfect!
Brilliant. I've had this idea laid out unofficially with a ToDoist list but it has a million little tasks on it and deadlines (ie once per week) that makes things look frazzled if you've missed days and especially if you let it sit for months after making it (lol). The concept of having a dozen or so major tasks written down on a paper and looping through them as a prioritized list that way sounds so much more manageable to keep into the long term. I'm excited to try this!
Recently saw a video on this type of schedule on the organized hq conference. You're video helped cement the concept in my mind. Definitely trying this since my brain can't handle the specific days for each task either😂
Love this! I have been looking for a long time at Side Tracked Home Executives and Fly Lady - both quite complex, and Clean Mama is simple but more rigid. Thank you!! 😅
I love this idea ! This way I won’t have a sense of failure when life gets in the way and I don’t achieve the exact same cleaning tasks within a one week time frame ! At age 76 I prefer to take life a bit more slowly and spread things out . I don’t live to just clean, though I love having a clean house and taking care of it , just in a more flexible format !
Yes, I like taking a day to do the less frequently performed tasks , like baseboard cleaning or drapery vacuuming, without feeling that I am missing out on the scheduled day of the week tasks ! Thank you for lightening my mental load !
Love this idea. I’m going to incorporate this with my routine. I’ve made my own and I can use this because I might not get through everything on the cleaning day. Like today I was supposed to do the baseboards with my surface cleaning today so I can do that next Monday and loop it genius. Just what I needed.
Perfect idea! I'm going to try this! I totally relate to so much of what you said! I'm so glad you shared this and your experiences and thinking behind this concept.💜
I have tried so many different cleaning schedules and I haven’t been able to stick to one long term either. I can’t wait to try this it sounds so smart - thank you!
That was obber helpful. I have bombed on so many plans for similar reasons to yours. Decision fatigue is so real and exhausting. I love anything that helps me cut down on last min or stressed decision making. Thanknyou for taking the time to share this:)
Thank you so much for sharing how to do a loop cleaning schedule. I just recently heard of it and wanted to learn more. Wish I knew about this back in my homeschooling days!
Thank you so much! As a mom of 5 kids with a very big Texas house I have been very overwhelmed on where to start. This may actually work. Thank you again!
Great idea! You sound a lot like me and I’m can see this actually working. I can be a little perfectionistic about things so I’m always starting over on Monday with how things “should” be 😉
