Today I'm sharing what I do to try and keep a clean and tidy home while working full time. This routine is totally manageable, practical and will save you tons of time! As a mom of 3, I have had to get creative in how to get everything done and I have developed certain habits and routines that are saving me 2 hours per day (14 hours EACH WEEK)! I hope this video gives you some ideas that you can implement today. #cleaning #tidyhome #workingmom #cleaningmotivation #cleaning Please subscribe to see more content like this, I'd love to see you around my channel 😊 www.youtube.com/@tarynmaria_?...
If I was your son I'd obey you to the max, You are the one that is in total control. Everyday, I'd come home from school and the 1 st thing I do, is give you my phone...don't want any distractions, then I do my homework, then all the chores for that day, which must be done to your satisfaction. Then do whatever you tell me to do with no back talk or arguing. On the weekends, I'd do what you want me to do, Before I have my "Free time"
Habit stacking is the only cleaning strategy that has worked for me. Like you suggested, I wipe whatever needs it (counters, appliances, etc.) while waiting for my coffee or tea to brew/steep. At some point in the day when I go to the bathroom, I do a cleaning task before leaving. It just becomes a natural part of your daily activities to tidy as you go about them.
The women are still overjoyed that fathers' salaries have been cut in half and mothers have to work full-time in coal mines to raise their children. Main thing for the woke women movement is that men receive starvation wages.
I work 50 plus hours a week and do almost all the house cleaning. It was so helpful to hear these tips from someone else who actually has to do the same juggling act in order to make it all work and still be able to spend precious time with your kids. Thank you!

We have 3 kids too I just dont understand how two loads of laundry and taking our trash once a week… and dishes every second day, sounds like fiction to me 😂
I don’t get it either!! With all the food prep and cooking it means at least one dishwashing load a day for us. And what about all the towels and bedsheets to wash? I also believe a home needs to be completely cleaned once a week, not once a month, so this doesn’t work for me.
I think you just changed my life with the shower trick. Why do the simplest solutions sometimes evade us?! I loathe cleaning the shower!! I love this hack!
I am a fulltime working single mom with 4 kids. I do about 6-8 loads of laundry a week and runns the dishwasher every day (2 during summer break) and my three oldest take turns emptying the dishes. I always clean the kitchen before bed and always pick up in the hallway and livingroom at night. I also have some strategically placed laundry baskets where the kids (mostly my youngest tends to drop his socks and hoodie as soon as he gets home) so I placed a small, pretty basket next to the sofa so that he can just drop it there and not on the floor and on the sofa. It is a lot to be alone with 4 kids so thinking outside the box helps. ❤

@@nikereebokpuma3406 sounds like the dream child 😂 I have amazing kids but they can be a bit lazy at times ♥️🙄 but I’ll make them do what I ask of them in one way or another. Phones, games and tv is a privilige, not a human right so if they do’nt follow the rules, they will have some sort of consequens. Some days I just want to do it all by myself (I tend to be a perfectionist) so that it gets done the way I want it. Then their job is to get out of my way until I am done 😂
@@IamTheMom Both my mom and sister likes things done a certain way! And I've learned to know how they like and want things done! I enjoy doing everything they don't want to do! With my sister, I do ALL of her chores and let her take all the credit so she gets paid for them. I clean up ALL of her messes. When she does something wrong, I take blame for it so she dont get in trouble. I do all of her homework so she can do what she wants to do! I never argue with her! When we are both home....I wait on her hand and foot....she never has to lift a finger!
Another tip for the laundry - you can put it on a timer so that the cycle starts and ends as soon as you're ready to hang it. So because I don't have a drier, I put the load on at night on a timer so it begins an hour or two before I wake up and finishes round the time I get up on the morning. Then the first thing I do when I get up is hang the clothes to dry. I will fold and put away later that evening after getting back from work. The kids put their own piles away before they get into bed. And I do this every weekday except for taking a break on Sunday. It has made a huge differnece!
Such helpful tips! I understand why you only put your dishwasher on every other day is because you only cook twice a week. We are a family of 6. I try to cook for two nights and then have 'Chooseday' night (choose your favourite leftover) Also, put a delay on your washing machine so that the cycle ends when you walk through the door. That way the clothes never smell and aren't creased.
Loved the video as a full time working mom trying to balance everything! Would be super interested in knowing how you split these tasks with your husband.
Loving all of your content. So relatable as a working mother. That said, can you do a video on how you use so little trash as a family that you only empty the garbage cans once a week?! I feel like the main garbage is emptied daily in our home and then the bathrooms/others are emptied the night before trash night. We’re trying to cut down on waste but with young kids it seems like an uphill battle!
Thank you so much, Dominique! And funny you say that - I'm working on a video about zero waste swaps right now :) I can definitely do more on that kind of content, thanks for the idea!

This was very helpful with some good ideas that I will implement! I recently watched a cleaning tips video by KattiesKottage and she too has you do certain cleaning tasks on certain days of the week which has really been a game changer for me. I don’t mind laundry but I also don’t want to do it daily on days that I work. The worst cleaning task for me is dusting (allergic to dust mites and I find it tedious), so I put an air purifier in almost every room and it cuts down the need to dust significantly. It also helps my family’s allergies. Don’t listen to the other comments about what your husband does and doesn’t do. My husband does less around the house cause he works more hours outside of the house! Plus he mows/weed eats and plows us out in the winter. And I don’t want to do any of those tasks! 😂
Hello from Germany :) im a full time working mom too. 8-17. and over here shops are closed on sundays :( so i have to order stuff or i have to go to grocery on saturdays, but its quite difficult to organize everything on the to do list on just the 4 saturdays per month
Hello! Ah - it's harder in Europe with the stores - so many of them are closed on Sundays (or at night)! In the U.S. they are always open so it makes it easier.
My washing machine has some programs to delay. So if i ask be done after 8 hours; it will start after 6 hours so 2 hours program is finished on time. Then you can put the clothes in the dryer.
No Dishwasher, always have family staying over, 110 lbs shedding dog, a cat, kids and a husband. This process would leave my house a mess. Floors only being mopped once to twice a month? Our one bathroom cleaned only once a week, it would look like a public bathroom at a train station. I hope this video helps others. Definitely not practical for my household.
Even a household of two, cooking all meals in the home. We’re lucky to go a day without running the dishes. If that happens it’s because the sink is full and no one is doing them
@@kj7653yes. Unless you have a commercial size washer and dryer and don't separate colors. When does she do bedding or towels? That alone is more than 2 loads for 4 beds. Very unrealistic
I have a lot of respect for your efforts to keep everything clean with 3 kids and a husband. I can’t imagine the work !thanks for sharing and may God help you with everything good you work toward 💕
If you squeegee your shower after you use it, you barely have to clean the walls and doors. We also use a slow cooker at least once a week. I prep the ingredients the night before, while watching TV. Beef bourguignon, Caribbean chicken, pulled pork or beef tacos, chili. Just add bagged salad and bread. Last tip, if you have a baby or small kids, put their socks in a lingerie bag, one per kid. Put it in the washer, the dryer then they’re easy to dump in a drawer and you don’t lose them or spend time trying to match them up.
I like this video as so many cleaning videos are by stay at home mums who have way more time. BUT you said “I” a lot. Surely kids and partner are part of the cleaning workforce…it’s not all up to mum.
I can’t leave my laundry because it’s a communal laundry room. BUT I get up a tad early (one day for me) and do the laundry dry before I leave. I try to lay it out so no wrinkles. Then fold when I get home.
A lot of good tips. BUT, things I dont do: have Any appliance running while I am out of the house or sleeping. Too many big disasters can happen which will cost you thousands of dollars and frustration. Ex: leaks and fires. Things I do which help me: rugs/mats before any entry. Traps dirt coming in. Use paper plates for small meals(sandwich, toast, etc). Crock pots: makes large meals. So easy. I vacuum everyday. Takes only 10 minutes and makes a big difference. Clean up after yourself. Nothing piles up. 😊
Washing once a week? Empty bins once a week? Seriously there are 5 in the house and it's once a week? I have 5 in my house and I empty the bin at least daily and it's not a small bin lol
Yup, once a week! We recycle a lot of our materials and we're very careful with how much waste we are generating (we don't use many, if any, single use products).
That’s exactly the vibe I was getting, too. Her emphasis on “needing to do it all” is painting a very ugly picture. I feel like she’s either a single mom or a single married mom, and if she’s the latter being a single mom honestly seems easier.
It's too hot over 110 degrees where I live. If I were to leave my wet clothes in washer until I come home at 9pm they would be smelly and probably semi dry and stiff.
Actually even if your machine is clean the most you should keep it in is 3 hours. I would just run it before work and put it in dryer before work too. Many dryers have fluff settings that will keep the clothes fluffed and reduce wrinkles.
@@peggyhawley8435I mean honestly! If I had to only run stuff when I was home nothing would get done. What about when you’re sleeping? You wouldn’t know if something was leaking anyway .

Generally no - I am super careful not to get the floor too wet (the steamer is less wet than the mop), and I’ve been doing it for years. So far so good!
Most of the tips are good, but laundry? Are you saying you only do 2 loads a week? Just your sheets would be that much or more based on changing them weekly.
We try to only wash clothes when they have been worn all day and also towels can go for up to three showers (I know some people don't like to do that though).
